Invisability, if was the name of his proverbial game, to not be where those whom saught him thought he would be. Amongst those of the leopard world, he was either hated, or simply thought of as some sort of freak an anomaly amongst the real tree living cats. Janiesquillo had been braught up by a leopardess and the years within the branches had formed his body in to a formidable machine. His claws had long ago become deformed and now rather than the trackshoe like claws that all cheetahs are born, and famed for, his paws formed climbing boots. Akin to most cheetahs the green striped cheetah was slender, though he was hardly as slim as his ground running kin, he was heavily mucled around his shoulders and hid quarters, even more so than usual because of where he lived. Jani had always been a tree jumping cheetah.
His 'mother' had braught him up amongst the branches of the jungle,s eh had taught him, harshly some would perhaps say, to climb, to survive. She had taught him to climb through the trees and he had adapted becoming a swift climber and amazing jumper, able to catapult himself through the branches and land not only safely but also swiftly. He was a creature of habbits and today his paws had as usual lead him to his favourate haunt for food.
A small clearing opened on to a large lake, a waterfall tumbled in to the water sending up great waves and made the air thick and heady, full of water. Jani knew if he waited for long enough, a beast would come from the trees in search of water, in search of the tender roots and lush crass that filled this clearing, then he would have lunch, but until then, he rested, his claws folded, invisable in the greenery that surrounded him, high in the branches of a moss covered tree. He could wait, he had all day to catch his lunch.

Nuhusi couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth as she moved skillfully through the jungle once again. While she had never been one to stay in one place, especially since her cubhood, she always liked returning to the jungle best. Perhaps it was because there were so many spirits to be had and so many beautiful signs to see. Or perhaps it was her being a typical leopard and finding comfort in the high trees.
She noticed the trees began to part and the area grew more open. The scent of water lingered sharply in the air and she smiled, causing her whiskers to lift. She could use a drink. Using one claw to make a quick rune in the dirt of thanks to the spirits in the area she moved out into the open and towards the lake.

His ears perked slowly, those ice green eyes opened wide, the scent of a leopard caught his attention and he growled lightly. leopards could sometimes be trouble. Moving closer to the trunk of the tree he was resting in he allowed his fur to do the work it was made for. Camoflage, he would watch what ever creature came from the forests before speaking. Rolling his shoulders slightly he turned his gaze to watch he approach of the female leopard, his ears tightened against his head. He had some respect for l;eopards, for some leopards any way. Not all of them. Some of them were simply hypocruitical, they didn't like him for one reason or another.
Still, there were exceptions to every rule. his 'little brother' for example, though he was a silly, mischevious fool, his 'half sibling' was an alright sort really. Still, it was better to air caution, to go diving in front of a leopard could be foolish, after all, a leopard could kill him, larger than your average cheetah he was, but a leopard could easily put paid to him if it so wished to. Silently he watched, better to be cautious, than dead.

Nuhusi moved over to the Lake's bank, bending down to bring her maw to the water's surface. She took a few good sips, licking her whiskers dry when she was finished. She sat back on her haunches, her body seeming very relaxed. Her bright orange eyes were only half open, showing she wasn't bothering to be very alert. She took life in stride, so being overly careful wasn't exactly her style. An interesting scent hung on the air, however, so that she turned her head to look out at the green foliage. Mm...was someone there? She seemed amused at the idea.

Light eyes blinked in the darkness, truthfully, if the deep green cheetah wished it, he could close his eyes and be invisable. He knew full well though if this femme posed a threat to him, he could get away right now. He could dart through the trees without a moments notice. he held his place though movinghis head slightly, a ray of light capturing those pale eyes and dark fur. He could remain cautious while revealing his presence. He little feared the leopard, she seemed docile almost tired, he shifted slightly, yawning even, being none challant was almost second nature to the green tree cheetah. To show fear was to reveal you were weaker. He would remain cool, collected, calm, until further notice.

"If you came here for a drink, there's more then enough water," Nuhusi called lazily. Her tail curled and uncurled idealy as she watched the trees. Just because she was very casual and comfortable didn't mean she was clueless. Someone was out there and obviously not wanting much of an encounter. But she wasn't going to be so stiff and unfeeling to not offer it, "Don't worry. I don't bite...unless, of course, you want to bite first." She chuckled, the tone a low, warm alto.

The dark cheetah stared for a moment. "I'm not here to drink" It was a simple enough reply, given curtly, though politely. His icey eyes watchedher for a moment, silence echoweing before he spoke again. "I was here to hunt" he wasn't trying to be rude, well, not really, he could be a rather short speaker, he was slightly anti social because of who he was. he was an outcast in this society around him.
Standing upont he branch he was perched upon the slender creature padded forwards in to the light allowing the deep sunny rays to play on his deep green coat. He had little doubt he would be as welcome when she saw him. Still, there was no point hiding, the hunt was ruined any prey beast would quickly turn the other way with a leopard stalking this haunt. He turned his head slightly as he lay back upon the bough his dark claws dangling from the branch. He knew not to be foolish, to act brave around a leopard was nothing but should she choose to attack he would be away like a shot.

Nuhusi looked a little surprised as he revealed himself, but only enough to have her offer him a curious glance. She had seen stranger things in life and honestly she saw nothing wrong with what he did. If he wanted to be a tree climbing leopard, so be it. It wasn't her business. It was all in the spirits' grand design, whether anyone thought so or not. "Oh...I suppose that is quite troublesome, isn't it? I must have scared everything away," she apollogized, though she still smiled as if they were talking about the weather.

The slender green cheetah lashed his tail a little as she spoke. "I'll hunt for soemthing else later" He states rather simply his ice green eyes glancing away from the dark leopard at the waters edge. he was trying to act as if this meeting didn't bother him, though it greately did. He was always weae of leopards. Still, she hadn't gone out of her way top say or do anything to make him untrusting, yet at least.
Turning back to look at the jet black femme he gave a little grunt and a nod at her words "Bothersome indeed, still, there are plenty of other places to hunt." He paused for a moment and licked his lips, he considered standing and leaping away through the trees, though he did not, he simply lay and watched her with those cold green eyes. Curiosity as to whom this femme was and why she did not simply try and attack him kept him stationary. There were very few leopards whom were acctually friendly top the green tree jumper.

"That is true," Nuhusi agreed easily, stretching forward and then settling down on her belly. She seemed extremely comfortable, for no tension could be seen in her sleek black body. It was as if she were talking to another leopard, not a cheetah-wantings-to-be-a-leopard. "Though I don't blame you for checking here first. It's a very good ambush spot," she commented openly. Perhaps she tried to hunt here later tonight. She always did so much better when it was dark and she blended in completely like a shadow.

Jani'Esquillo's tail flickered once again and his brow crumpled slightly. She'd interrupted his hunt and then simply placed ehrself down. Well he didn't really need to hunt yet any way. Silly female. "It's one of my regular haunts" he commented simply. "Plenty of prey coming to this place to drink." he petered off with his words his mint green eyes peering any wheer but at her. Truthfully he was watching her like a hawk for any strange or sudden movements. Just because she was relaxed didn't meanshe wasn't about to attack.
Those thick, heavily bunched shoulders rolled slightly looseing up his thick mucles as he shifted a little to make himself more comfortable. He could think of little else to say to the shadowey leopard and pondered leaving if his usual curiosity hadn't prompted him to stay and ponder why she wasn't attacking him. She mustn't be from around here. He was rpetty certain of that.

She nodded her head in understanding and agreement. She made no other comment, however, since there was little else to say on the matter. She wasn't one to waste words if it was boring. And this certainly wasn't an interesting conversation. She was unable to hold back a yawn as she shifted to bring her body to lay closer to the ground on which she had planted herself. She watched him with disinterest, that was all.

The large green cheetah was infact confused by her lack of interest, he raised a brow at her, his long sweeping green tail tipping below the tree line. "I suppose I should be on my way" he stood then stretching out his mangled claws, those claws which ahd long since formed in to climbing shoes instead of a cheetahs running shoes. He licked his dark lips his flash of pink tongus stark against his dark green face.
"Thankyou" he let a roguish smile play on his face as he turned to go, perhaps not every leopard was out to kill him, perhaps.
