I'm not one to usually lust for words I think i will keep this subjected post small and simple as i possibly can for now.
I would like to discuss Change:
Now there are certain things in todays world that can definetely need a different approach, systems, etc etc.
Examples
Money Buys Justice
The aim of the legal system, for example, is to guarantee justice for all: the phrase "All men are equal before the law" is bandied about as if it were true, not merely an aim. In practice the law needs interpreters and advocates, and the rich have better access to the most able advocates than the poor. Few poor people think of the legal system as offering them protection. And the more elaborate the legal system, the less value it has to those who are underprivilidged, although they are the people who need its protection.
Transport systems offer another example. Their aim is to enable people to meet and to get to markets or other local centers. In small communities people walk or go by bicycle. Ideally a country would be covered with a network of raods or tracks to make walking or cycling easier. As people do need sometimes to go longer distances, there should be roads that adequate for crude, cheap buses. To start with, not everyone can own Automotice Vehicles, and those who cannot are disadvantaged. And they are disadvantaged not merely because they have not, while others have, but because their own freedoms are limited. You can no longer walk or bicycle in a motorized city such as Los Angeles, and walkers and bicyclists are actually forbidden to use some freeways. Worse still, money taxes are taken from those who do not own Vehicles, as well as from those who do, in which it is used to build ever-more gigantic freeways between ever-growing cities.
Modern medicine is another example. The developed nations have spent vast amounts of money on medicine and hospitals, and yet we are all denied a human experience that everyone in an undeveloped country enjoys: no one in an industrial society is born or dies among relatives or friends. It just seems dehumanizing.
This is but the tip of the iceberg i just simply do not wish to type out everything i can think of at the moment Although i do not have any proposals about solving such problems. I would still like to discuss such things that are relavant to this thread.
Feel free to discuss anything that you also believe needs to be changed and it the proposal as long as it isnt completely asinine
Please forgive my romantic idealism but i do believe todays society could use change, as well as many other things in todays world.

I think we need a change, definetly in my city. I'm sort of continuing the transportation. I think there needs to be sidewalks everywhere, in every neighbor hood, on city streets. It's unsafe for people walking, and riding bikes when people are zooming past them at 35mph or faster.
I've nearly been hit by a cop going 50-60mph in a 35mph zone. I was walking on the edge of the curb and he doesn't even bother to get over in the other lane, and he missed me by less than a foot. I was so pissed off because that would have seriously injured me severally.

Another change that is ill precieved is the American Airport Security.
Yall know the airport security before you get into the terminal ( metal detector area). well now the government employs the security guards there. It sounds good, but now there is no compition for the job and the unions took over the place. ( my dad was working in the airport so i am not making this up) If it was still in the hands of private owners, the the security would have to pay more attention so they don't get replaced. One more change that was in the end worse than the beginning.

Unfortunately it doesnt seem to me that many people are interested in talking about such a topic but anyways
I would also like to hear why you would like to see these things change and what proposals you would have for them

I believe that the school system is in need of a drastic change. What I cant understand is why polotical leaders keep promissing money for our schools, but we never get it. I would like to also say that my State's (Oregon) Government love's to say that our education sucks, and are getting us money. But, Oregon is one of the lowest edutated states in the Union, and a top state in crime. What I propose is that the schooling system, in all states, needs to be changed, not being led by the state itself, but by the Federal Government. If you look at countries that are like that, they have an alarmingly higher test score than America; Canada is one of those countries.

That is a good plan, also more private ( but lower tuition) schools work out well, more competiton. THe bad schools would get weeded out

America need change in just about EVERYTHING. We need to protect farmlands We need funding for better fuel We need less laws and harsher punishment (almost Singapore style) We need organic food (pesticide is ticking me off) We need all working herbal medicine to be on pharmical shelf (I heard reports that many herbal medicine work better than most modern medicine, heck I felt better after drinking gypsie's tea, but modern medicine has it own use) We need to lay off encouraging greedy coprorate to exist (don't care if that put me in street, at least I am able to working HONESTLY) We need minimum wage to increase to point where it is living wage (I am wondering, did they do that already?) We need more honest judicial system We need our money to go to where it really counts We need to preserve non national parks part of wildlife as well We need to leave homosexuals alone We need to lay off insulting other countries We need to complete domestic need first before foreign affairs We need to wise up We need to ease our restriction on illegals (after all, they came from poor country and now most of them are doing our dirty work that almost nobody want to do, why make their life a living hell?) We need to preserve our spending to give to elders to show we appreciate them building America We need to eliminate NCLB (good intention, really screw-up setup) We need to etc etc etc.
Wow.....such a great country ended up falling -.- Good news, we have time to pick up and throw away stupidity and ignorance

As for the schooling system, I think they need to make school optional, I know that seems kind of weird since well we need more education not less, and I also think they should have more levels of the class, since you can only get through so much in a class each day and if you have 4 people who don't understand it, they slow down your whole class, so you can only move as fast as the slowest people, so if they had sub-levels of each class it might work better. And the whole optional to go to school thing, well you can make people go to school, but you can't make them learn, and if they don't want to be there, and they don't want to learn, they are more likely to act out, bully/harass people who want to learn, and are more likely to be violent.

You know, now that you mention it, that DOES seem to be the case. Good news, depending on what type of college (and I do mean TYPE), theyll let you work at your own pace, making life easier. I just wish University of Utah and Weber State University does the same thing

I just recently heard about some school's crookedness. I heard incident at one of school (outside my state) where an autistic teen was pushed and called 'retarded' by the *gasp* TEACHER, all because they were arguing. Guess what happen? It was reported, but nothing was done about it. That same kid was also kicked out of gym class, and he didn't do anything except stand there and got called 'retarded' by almost everyone (except my sister who reported it to the teacher, yet the teacher didn't punish kids breaking the rule). stressed SCHOOL REFORMATION NOW! stressed (Sis use to live in different state until now, and this incident happen about several month to couple years ago)
