Bet wandered the halls of the Temple, lost in thought, as his hooves and paws touched cold stone floor, in his mind he remembered when he had first roamed these halls as a young adult.
It was his first time visiting the Temple and bored with looking at the different alters and shrines, they were all the same in his eyes, he and found the most interesting thing.
In an out of the way corrador, after crawling through a broken doorway he found it. A low alter of stone upon which were arranged pebbles. On closer inspection of the pebbles Bet found that many of them were flat with six sides and each one had small dots. There was also a container of sorts, he was unsure what it should hold but it was empty now laying on it's side near the pebbles. He had been a shy youth and was unsure at the time if he should disturb the setup. Was this infact the shrine of a forgotten god?
Day by day he returned to this out of the way alter and he explored the area around it finding more of the pebbles, gold coins and other old and discarded objects of chance, of gambling. And as the days passed he began to understand what he had been told of the old gods. This was an alter of sorts, to games of chance that had been played here.
As he was making his way down to visit his shrine he was happy to note that the area was in better shape now than it had been back then, rubble had been cleared away and he felt a breeze flow through, the air was not stagnet as it was then, his god exisited here.
((I hope that this is okay, I'm not sure if I have the feel for Bet and the Temple yet, if anything should be changed or whatever please let me know, I'm happy to have Bet and look forward to lots of rp with him and with you.))

The mallard was at the temple, by the fountains where he would come time again to be guided by his god and listen to the voice of the liquids that free flowed through the stony fountains. His eyes closed and his mind clear as he listened to the harmony of the waters. It brought peace to him and helped his emotions calm.
From time to time, Mythos would open his eyes, and what he was always see in the distance of the temple was a spotted white Malu, continously going to the old 'games' location of the temple. No one had visited there for a very long time, why would a new Malu suddenly start to go there.
As days passed, Mythos continued to observe that one location from day to day as he saw the same Malu come and go. In the meanwhile, that location was being touched up and fixed up as it was old. It was an odd scene for the mallard as he could not understand what was going on, but continued to observe to maybe understand.
Another day arrived and Mythos this time decided to go to the place, wait for the diced Malu and question him. As a friendship way though, not hostility. Once the Malu arrived, Mythos flashed a smile at him and greeted him. "Hello there. I've noticed you come here a lot. You like the games huh? And the god?" He questioned, looking back at the games room. Mythos was intrigued as he never met anyone that came to this part. He always wanted to but the last person he saw come here was when the mallard was very young and he never got a chance to meet that person or even go to the games room.

((Sorry it took me so long to reply~ ^^; ))
Bet grinned at the mallard malu, why, when he had passed by many a time had he not given greetings to another malu, he was not shy nor rude nor indifferent, maybe there was no reason. Bet lowered his head and dropped from his mouth a pair of stone dice, he noted the numbers that came up before lifting his head again.
"Yes, the god of games of chance dwells here. If you are interested you may come and visit with me." His voice was deep but soft.
Bet lowered his head and picked up the stones, his eyes held the other male’s gaze as he turned his body, beckoning him to follow. "Come?" he queried past the stones in his teeth. "Bet." he added his name as an afterthought.

Loki had been passing through. The day was lovely, water gently trickling from the fountains and over the old stone slowly eroding the water's containment.
He had noticed the shrines of gambling being restored. He was never around while they were being restored, bu rather would notice the shrines better conditions increasing with each day.
He hadn't been working on his shrine for some time. It was in the sublevels. He had noticed a few more Malu making their way into the sublevels. He knew where each of the other's shrine was, as he had been there long before a another malu knew it was there. He had disapeared into the sublevel catacombs as a young child and remained there, lost in the darkness until he was no longer a child, but rather a full grown adult who knew the perils and evils like no other, and instead of hiding from them....Embracing them. The powers of evil were forever growing. And his ability to feel the other malu's will and alignment had grown strong.
He could sense Achlys was in the sublevels, probably tormenting some lost soul.
This day, he saw the malu who he only assumed had been cleaning up the shrine, within the area, talking a strangely colored malu. His feelings automatically told him which one was restoring the shrine. He approached them, having nothing better to do. He sat down next to them and looked at the six sided stones. He wouldn't say anything. Not till he was acknowledged. Didn't mean he wouldn't eavesdrop.

A deep sigh dragged itself slowly from the nostrils of the freckled femme as paws and hooves moved her dryly through the temple's halls. She could hear water some where, but it failed in touching her interests. Most things did these days, actually...
Pale eyes wandered slowly, taking in the glimpses of shrines or other random things in crumbling rooms that she passed. There were so many shrines these days, but Enoa had yet to run into many Malu. Her kind was skittish, it seemed, and odd...so very odd. They were like the wind that carried her golden and amber leaves across the ground; there, but unseen...mysterious, yet so very annoying from time to time.
Continueing on, head slightly hung, her ears soon twitched and perked themselves due to an echo that bounced off the stone from somewhere ahead. Voices? Maybe so...
Softening her step, the femme gave a silky trot until the voices became clearer and louder. Curiosity had already grabbed the Malu's heart and lead her to peek just inside on of the rooms of the temple. Eyes gazed at the three males; one who she remembered as Mythos, but the others were unknown to her.

Mythos laughed a bit, giving a soft smile as he nodded to Bet, hearing his name. It was quite an intriguing name, as well as who the Malu was. The god of games. Finally, a Malu like that Mythos always wanted to meet. He thought the God of Games was a myth, a legend and no Malu existed and they were all just 'games' and fictional. But now he knew otherwise. They were quite real.
Taking Bet's offer to enter, Mythos stopped at the entrance looking to suddenly see Enoa. "Oh hey Enoa! What's up? Wanna join us?" the mallard asked, giving a smile at Enoa, then noticing another Malu. But this was someone Mythos did not know and he had been lurking around this area for a bit now. "Hey, you wanna join us too?" He asked the unknown Malu, sitting by the entrance of the games room.

Bet turned to face the newcomers, though in their eyes he must be the new comer and not them, he lowered his head and dropped the stone twins noting the numbers that came up - as he always did, before lifting his head to greet the others.
This was his arena, or so he thought, he might as well start introductions if many were going to gather here, "Greetings," he smiled warmly, his voice low in the echoing chamber, "I am Bet, all are welcome to enter here, but tread lightly this area is not as safe as I wish it to be, it is just I clearing the rubble away."
In a corner of the bare room stood the 'table', the dice and many offerings that Bet had scrounged from the dark corners and crevices, all arranged neatly and carefully in Bet's eyes, to an unknowing onlooker it might seem to be quite a random display but to Bet this was his precious shrine.

Ears perked up immediatly as she was confronted and found. Looking up at Mythos, she began, "oh! I am okay. Y-" however her words fell as her mind decided to take up the other's, (the spotted one's) words.
Eyes flicked between Mythos and the one named Bet. "I guess I can join," she stated and on silent steps moved past Mythos and more into the room.
Pale eyes slid steadily over each item, rock, leaf, and corner of the room. She noted the debris and rubble, but also how most seemed to already be in piles. Nostrils flared slightly as she inhaled, the scent of moss filling her senses. This place definitely hadn't been used in a long time.
Still moving slowly about, the other's around her temporarily forgotten, the table covered is what seemed to be random objects caught her eye. Blinking she inched closer, but didn't dare get right up to it. A shrine, or at least that's what she guessed this to be, was of course sacred to the follower, and perhaps they didn't want it disturbed in any way. Enoa could respect that.
"What are those?" She asked suddenly towards the spotted malu. A paw was extended in the direction of a pair of 8 sided die that sat on the shrine.

(post in responce to azumi, i want other to be free to join and continue, but i dont want to wait so much either ^^')
Bet's eyes fell upon the young female with the green tuft of fur above her soft eyes, he looked in the direction her paw was pointing and understood. "Dice. Coins. Cups."
He leaned down his head and retreved the pair he had droped to speak and moved to the table. He set them down taking care to not drop or roll them and then he took up the 8 sided pair, (he liked these die because of their interesting shape, he also liked the four sided ones,) he turned to Enoa and placed them on the floor before her. "Would you like to play with them? I think it's fun to try and guess what numbers will come up."

Pale eyes flicked towards him as he came over, but just a quickly they moved back to gaze at the contents on the shrine as he rattled them off. Head bobbing lightly in a reply of understanding, she blinked and inched closer, but stopped mid-step.
"Hmm?" she sounded, full attention on the male again. Eyes glanced down at where he set the dice near her feet before she looked back up at him. "Um...okay. What do I do? I have never played this before..." she almost half mumbled in reply.
There were times when the autumn follower was loud and openly spoke her mind, but then there were times like these where curiosity and a mild manner enclosed her.

Bet laughed gently as he settled himself on the stone floor, he crossed his front legs and half rested his head on them, lifting it when he spoke or to look to the others that had come into his realm, maybe they would want to play as well.
"It's very simple, but the rules can very as much as the players." He began in his deep soft voice, loud enough for all to hear but not over powering to the youth before him, "The dice have eight sides, on each side is a mark that represents a number, one to eight, so when you drop or roll the die there is a chance that any of the numbers will come up, and when you drop two, you will usually get two different numbers, but there is a chance that you will get the same number on both dice." As he spoke he brushed the dice on the floor with a paw rolling them a little, and when he was silent he leaned his body forward and took up one of the stones in his mouth and then dropped it, it came up a six. "You try, see if you can match mine, that's one way, or roll a higher number, that would be another way."

The freckled maluess listened rather intently, as Bet explained, with ears perked forward and eyes constantly shifting from the die to his face.
"So I just pick them up and let them drop?" She asked, though didn't really wait for a reply. Picking up the other dice with her teeth, she let it drop back onto the stone floor.
"Um...eight. Does that mean I win?"

"Indeed." Bet grinned. "If we had bet that you would roll a higher number than me you would have won something; that is a game of chance. Though I might just say you have beginners luck." His deep voice was serious, to him this game was not just a game, but when he spoke again his voice was soft once more, "I guess I can give you something, what do you say?"

Give her something? Enoa cocked her head for a second as if she didn't understand, but suddenly her eyes widend just a little and she shook her head, her hair falling over her face as she did so. "No, I could not take something of yours. It was probably begginers luck and it does not seem fair."

Bet kept his face flat but inside he wanted to laugh, Well that's what you get for teasing the girl!
"Well if you won't take something, will you accept a gift? I'd like it, if you want, you can have that die. These games are all about luck, chance. I've not met anyone yet with skills at dice tossing."
There was a short time when Bet had thought that he possessed some skill with a dark colored die that he had found, it was laying among the shards of a broken cup a six sided die, high number up, whenever he would roll it, it would almost always come up six.
"Let's play again, you roll and I'll see if I can't beat you this time."
