So wonderful to be big, so wonderful to be grown up, so wonderful she'd even scared Kuro into hiding in the demon woman's room. It was so perfect now that she wasn't smaller than him anymore. Horrible man's just jealous that i'm pretty and that the blue fluffball thinks i'm pretty too
Giggling she stopped in a clearing and hopped up onto a log. She was better looking than Kuro now so he wouldn't get all the attention anymore. She'd be the one getting attention now. "All me all me all me." Her tail swished behind her as she spoke in a sing song voice.
Now she could even tower over those two horrible little things that followed Aara around. Send them running off in fright or maybe even teach them a lesson as to why not to mess with a Queen.

The 'twins', as they had been jokingly referred to as by Aaralyn, made their way through the forest. No longer trailing behind Beryl as she often did, Maeve walked along beside her 'sister'. They seemed elegant as they moved; long, lithe legs stretching out before them as paws touched the ground. She wouldn't be able to forget how Aaralyn had beamed over them. Pride... They had made their guardian proud.
Beryl wasn't as concerned with their new physical developments as Maeve was. She was simply glad that they could wander about 'on their own' without worrying that Aaralyn would pop out of nowhere and chastise them. This outing was to be a learning experience... She wanted to learn about the lands between their home and the Center. She needed to know more about it if she was going to proceed with her plans.

Picking up one paw she scratched one ear, grimacing for a moment, before she stretched her back out in the sun. At this rate she was going to learn this forest better than Kuro and that was an accomplishment. Espically with how old his grumpy rump is
She was starting to think he'd gone senile too, talking about things with wings. Angel's were in story books they weren't real. Even if Kuro did say that he'd talked to two of them.

Jhadia might find herself thinking that she knew the forest better... But if she'd known it half as well as she thought she did she would've heard it whispering to the two that were slowly approaching her. Beryl stopped, ears swiveling towards the sound of movement. Someone was in the forest with them...
Maeve tilted her nose towards the gently blowing breeze, wriggling it as she sniffed at the air. Whoever it was had a familiar scent... A scent that caued a slight chill to race down her spine.

She tucked her tail around one leg as she felt a breeze go past her. Scrunching her nose she turned on the log and stretched again. The tree that it had once been must have been a giant as the female could almost walk in a complete circle.
She knew the forest but that didn't mean that she was paying attention. Not when she could think about finding ways to piss off Kuro, or anyone for that matter.

Her own delicate nose scrunched before she nodded her head in Jhadia's direction. In their time playing hide and seek with Aaralyn they had learned to communicate quietly... They would move through the trees towards the log. She would take the lead and Maeve could fall in behind her.
She cleared her throat once she was close enough... Voice still young enough to be familiar, now filled with a new trace of authority. "What, pray tell, brings you into our neck of the woods?"

Tail stiffening she turned her head slowly. She knew that voice, it was the brats. "Your neck of the woods? Your?" She looked down her nose at Beryl. "If this is anyone's it's most defiantly not yours."
Damn it, while she had gotten bigger so had they. She wouldn't be able to kick them around as much.

"Yes. Ours." She nodded slowly. Something about the way she said 'ours' left one wondering whether or not she was actually including Maeve. "Questions do not answer questions... And you didn't answer mine." She was quite curious as to what could have possibly brought the elder Jivviness out this far. Aaralyn had said that most didn't go beyond the path... Or had that simply been some part of a story told to keep them on the path when they were younger?
She watched quietly, eyes never leaving Jhadia. The other female was still older than they were... And she didn't trust her. Not one bit.

"I don't have to answer to you." She turned her body around again so she was facing the smaller girls. "The forest is not yours, it belongs to people far smarter than you'll ever be."
If she had learned one thing from Kuro it was that there were dangers, dangers of their own kind, lurking in the forest.

"You are quite correct." A voice came from above them; part of a presence that none of the three young Jiviness had noticed. His tail uncoiled from around his body and his wings spread, carrying him in a slow glide to the ground which ended in the disappearance of his wings in a dance of feathers.
"The forest does not belong to these two young ladies... But nor does it belong to you, although I am certain that there are those who would try giving it to you if it was within their power to do so. You are quite lovely." His eyes didn't leave Jhadia as he spoke nor did they leave her as he lowered his body in a charming bow.
Beryl's eyes narrowed, flasing an icey glare between Jhadia, for being herself, and this newcomer. She then turned to Maeve and, upon finding her friend gawking at the pale creature who'd just landed amongst them, she bumped her with her shoulder, hissing. "Maeve!'

Her mouth had been about to open to tell whoever this was that he needed to shove off and take his ego with him but her jaw snapped shut when she looked at him.
Shaking her head and smiling at his words she beamed. Of course she was lovely and of course everyone would want to give her gifts. "I never said it was mine, i said it wasn't theirs and that they shouldn't think like that" She looked over at Beryl and Maeve. "Though little brats like them wouldn't understand that"

He saw her muzzle part around words that went unsaid, letting a smile play over his maw. Good, good. If she was too busy gazing at him than perhaps her prattle would cease. She would be even more lovely if her attempt at insults were actually well thought out. As it was, she was second rate. Neither of the two young Jivvins standing nearby seemed to be 'brats'.
"Being younger than you does not a brat make," he paused for a moment, wanting to insert her name only to find that it was one of the things that he had not overheard. "Might I have your name?"
She stood tall, stretching her slender form before stalking towards the male Jivvin who had nothing more than an impressive wingspan... And he didn't even have that any more. "Her name is Jhadia. The one gawking at you as if she has never seen another Jivvin before is Maeve. I am Beryl." Her brow lofted as she took a seat between he and Jhadia. "Who are you?"

Staring down at Beryl she reached out with one paw and pulled the smaller Jivvin back behind her "Behave yourself!" She snapped. It was one thing being rude to her, at least they were almost the same age, but him? No.
"I am Jhadia and as you can see i was not speaking wrong when i called them brats." She eyed Beryl again as she spoke.

She snarled as she was shoved behind to Jhadia, making a face that said that she meant to bite the other female's paw and she would do so if she didn't remove herself this very instant.
Rather than take offense of the pale blue Jivviness' boldness he found himself laughing. "You are Beryl and you are, most certainly, a Vhiad if ever I knew one. We need more with your spunk where I come from... The question is; are you True or False?"
Before she could answer he turned away from her, looking between Maeve and Jhadia. "Hmm. One of you could be a Princess, but prefers the role of Confidant and the other believes herself to be a Queen and could be, quite possibly, if she carried herself with a bit more class. Not Vhiad's.." He paused for a moment, pondering to himself before speaking to both of them. "Sargltins."

She snorted. "I have far more class than either of these two or that b*****d that i live with." She'd get Kuro back as soon as she found him again, where ever he'd run off to. "Maybe not as much as Aaralyn, though ow these two grew up around him and ended up like this is beyond me"
She removed her paw from Beryl but she was ready to smack the other back again if she tried anything funny.
