 Eydis stood right in the outskirts of the desert as the sand whipped against her body in the wind. Eydis squinted her eyes, shielding her precious vision from getting damaged by the sandy wind. Eydis loved sand, growing up on an island, but she was not used to this strong of wind. No, she was much more used to a beachy sand as opposed to a sandy desert. Where was the water? She had heard this place was just like an island; quiet, sandy, hot, peaceful and relaxing. This was certainly not relaxing, but rather uncomfortable. Eydis turned around, ready to head home and relax on a real beach. In the corner of her eye, Eydis spotted something in the desert. Was that a mirage that Eydis had been warned about or is was something actually there?

Ah, just perfect. A sand storm of some sorts. It wasn't too bad, atleast, not as bad as some other's he had experianced. But something he didn't like non the less.
Mozenrath had somehow wandered into the desert area of this land. Well, no time like the presant to get a feel for all the areas around here, he supposed. The extra cloth that fell from underneath his turban was wrapped around his mouth to sheild his face a bit more. Xerxes had tucked tucked himself underneath his cloak and was sleeping soundly through the whole ordeal. Lazy little fox.
After being lost in this damndable storm for a couple hours, it seemed like there was no end and he would have to find some sort of shelter till he could figure out where exactly he was. If this desert was like the one's back home, it would get freezing pretty quickly and fast once the sun started to set.
Though out of the blurred vision of the sand whipping past his face, he spotted what looked like someone out there in the middle of the sand flying around. Or was it a mirage? Well...what kind of Soquili would be standing out here in the middle of no where. Either way, he turned and trotted slowly towards whoever it was. His long, black tail trailing behind him and leaving small indentations in the sand behind him which were swiftly cleared away.

Mirage or not, whatever it was, it was coming closer. Eydis took a step backwards cautiously. What if it was a predator of sorts? Eydis grew very nervous, hopefully she wouldn't find herself in trouble like her previous experiences in the land. It was times like this that made her miss the island, but Eydis couldn't return there. Not anymore, not ever again.
"Halt mirage!" demanded Eydis, thinking as if the Soquili in this land knew that she was a princess. Her superiority complex has gotten Eydis in quite a bit of trouble in the past.

The stallion gave a snort as he got closer and heard this thing bark out a command. He stopped several feet away from her, noteing that is was infact another Soquili. A mare it seemed from the voice. "I am no mirage. And I wouldn't be barking out commands like that...you never know who it is that will come along and not particularily like haveing commands thrown at them...."
Takeing a few steps forward, he tossed his head abit to loosen the clothe from infront of his face. It fell back to it's original position, skirting the back and sides of his neck. Now his pure white face was revealed. Black eyes shineing with curiosity. This one didn't seem to be any normal Soquili like the ones he had come across. How odd.

Eydis took a few steps back in fear. This Soquili seemed to be very intimidating.
"Ah, you must not know who I am," said Eydis boldly. "I am Princess Eydis, of an island not to far away from these lands. You seem to be of royalty yourself, based upon your attire. Are you the king or prince of an area around these parts?"

A princes huh? How interesting. There were, of course, princess back from his own homeland, but they looked nothing like this one. Takeing a few steps forward again, he smiled lightly. "No need to be afraid my dear. And I guess you could call me a king by your standards I'm sure. I do rule over my own land and have servants..."
His tail flicked back and forth. The sand flurry had started to calm down more and now he could get a better view of who he was faceing. Hmmm, think quick. "A princess? There are many princesses from where I come from. Though non of them look quite like you."

"A king? Oh, my! That is quite an adimirable royalty position!" said Eydis, full of excitement. It had been a long time since Eydis had met any royalty. "What do you mean they did not look like me? Were they not beautiful princesses? Are you trying to say that I myself am not beautiful? If that is indeed your implication, then I must say that I am quite offended!"

He gave a small chuckle at her reaction. Mozenrath had never taken a title as king. His servants really weren't all that alive enough to probably realize what control he had over them.
As she went on about how she was affended, he smirked in the back of his mind but shook his head and gave her an honest look. "No no. I didn't mean it that way. They were beautiful yes, but compaired to you...they seem quite plain." His eyes lidded lightly as he spoke the last part of that sentance.

Eydis giggled lightly at the compliment. A compliment from a king? That is quite an honor according to her island's traditions. Also according to the traditions, a compliment from a king is a proposal to a life mating.
"I am quite honored by your proposal, but I think we have just met, maybe we should take it a little slower?" asked Eydis, a bit confused on the situation. After a moment of further thought, she immediately continued speaking. "But, of course, you are a king, so your wish is my demand. Yes, I will be your lifemate!"
Eydis smiled happily at her new 'mate', who still remained anonymous to her.

Mozenrath nearly choaked at her reply, but caught himself before any trace of it was seen. Oh boy. Now exactly what had he gotten himself into? Hmmm, perhaps he could use this to benefit himself. Giveing her a charming smile and took a few steps towards her. "Well....perhaps jumping right into life mateing is a bit sudden....."
His mind thought wildly as he tried to come up with some reply to the whole situation. Crap. This whol situation was turning around against him, he had to find a way to turn it back into his favor. "Maybe we should get to know each other a lot better before we make it... 'official'?" That was the best thing he could come up with on the spot. Offending her by telling her her idea of what his compliment ment might drive her away and then what good would that do him in the long run?

"Indeed, slowing down our pace would be the best idea," said Eydis. "I was rather suprised that your proposed so suddenly. We haven't even learned each others' names yet. My name, as I said, is Eydis, but I have yet to learn your name. You may call me modern, but I prefer to know the name of the stallion I will be spending my life with, although it isn't my island's normal tradition to do so."

Giveing a flick of his tail, it seemed he had worded himself right and was now a bit more incontrol of what was going on. "Well...a beautiful Princess such as yourself should be snatched up right away. I'm surprised that you hadn't been already..." His mind continued to run back and forth to different thoughts. Damnit, what now. Would this mare be following him around like no other? Stalking him in the darkest of nights? Sigh.
"Forgive me Princess Eydis. I am Mozenrath. I heed from the Land of Black Sands...." His tail gave another thoughtful flick side to side. This could be usefull or damning, depending on how he tip toed around it.

"I am Princess Eydis, princess of the Island of the Blossoms," said Eydis as she bowed her head politely. "Well, I have not met someone to take me off my hooves, you know, that stallion in a shining coat. You seem to be one that is very respectable, so I am very flattered that you would consider me to be your mate. What else can you tell me about yourself? Where is this Land of Black Sands?"

"The Island of the Blossoms? Sounds like a beautiful place...." A place full of flowers no doubt. Eh, could be worse he supposed. "Well, I'm not sure if there really are that kind of Soquili running around. Or atleast, non that I've run into." The sun had started to slowly set in the sky. Golden rays reflecting off the red jewel that stuck out amungst his dark clotheing. "What else about myself? What else would you like to know?" His mind shifted back to thinking about his home. "My home is far away, a distant land. You have to cross the ocean to get to it and it's a fairly long trip I might add. A very wonderous place....full of mystery."

"I know quite a bit about mystery myself," said "But I have also been taught that a woman is never to tell their secrets. So your home is far away? My home is far away as well."
A sparkling light flashed into Eydis's eyes. Eydis took a step back. What was that? Was that a...a jewel? This king is a lot more proper than she had thought him to be.
