The Petal itself wasn't a particularly intimidating establishment-- quite friendly, actually. Nothing too loud or flashy-- simplicity. A less than popular bar on one of the less traveled strips of the mall nearby the oh-so-hidden Nest, there weren't many travelers who managed to make it to the doorway.
Thus, there truly was no need for a bouncer or anything of that sort-- instead, there simply was a lone bartender in the dimly lit main room, serving the few patrons who came his way. After all, even though business was slow, it didn't mean anything, right?
A total of nine empty stools-- and three occupied ones-- stood at the bar, with eight empty booths scatted about the room. Everything appeared to be clean-- which brought upon the question of what exactly was wrong with this place, other than that it wasn't near anything particularly fascinating.
Perhaps the answer would reveal itself.

What an..eerily strange place. It looked nice enough to draw in quite a bit more interest. Pressing his hands into his pockets, he stepped into the bar, the note held firmly in one of those concealed hands. Ears swiveled back slightly, tail lashing about behind him.
Hmm..someone would meet him? Well, there weren't really a lot of people to hunt through. Approaching one of the far corners of the counter, assuming that the one who had sent the letter would approach him. Seating himself, he shifted slightly to get more comfortable...damn past incidents were driving him up a wall.

After a moment, the bartender moved towards Samael, smiling slightly in that distant-not-quite-but-almost-threatening manner which was quite the norm for him. "Good evening, sir. May I interest you in a drink or some such?"
He appeared to be... ah, yes. Bryon's charge. The angel would have to notify that... charming creature. Wonderful.
Ah well. No matter.

This intrigued him. Ears flicked forward at the sound of someone approaching--glancing up from the counter to view the bartender. Tempting to get alcohol...but not now, no. "No...I'm all right," he paused, "In a bit, maybe." He'd rather not be booted for lulling around? Though he doubted he would. Salvation at a bar was something many did, when it was needed.
That smile, though...how did it seem familiar, but distant? He returned the smile with a slight grin of his own, flaxen orbs glancing over the area once more, setting his elbow to the counter, allowing his hand to hang off, fingering the hem of his trench coat absently.

The angel merely continued smiling. "If you want anything, please don't hesitate to ask," he offered before moving back to his other patrons. He picked up a pale green bottle to pour a strangely pale wine into a crystal glass, setting it down next to where he kept the majority of his supplies. A signal, perhaps.
No, a summons. Because it took no more than a moment after that for a fox to walk into the room and move towards Samael with absolute surety, taking a seat next to the unicorn. After all, there was little time to stand on ceremony when meeting someone for a drink, wasn't there?
Not that this was just a social call. Quite the contrary, actually. "Well, hello there. You must be Samael?" Bryon asked, taking a seat near the other.

Should he be nervous? ******** if he knew. This could be anything from the Facility trying to capture him again, or one of Marks' little games. Bleh. Nodding to the tender, he watched him closely--though lost interest in a matter of seconds and returned to glances around--though he felt wary.
Single ear twitched when one approached him, canting his head to view the fox curiously as he took a seat. Oh, so the letter wasn't lying...seeing as he didn't recognize this male, he felt a bit..better, surprisingly, and he didn't feel quite so sick about accepting this...invite.
"Yes," he murmured, "That's me...And you are?" Names, names. He learned to take them quickly. Fake or not, it was still good to know...maybe easier to trace if something were to happen.
Man, was he paranoid...

"The name's Bryon-- though I'm unfortunately the recipient of quite a few nicknames as well," the fox smiled reassuringly. "One of my colleagues sent you an invitation to come here." Let Samael ask the questions-- then answer. Don't give away too much yet.

Name down--He smirked a bit. He knew the feeling. For the most part, if his assumptions on the 'other' names were correct. Silence once more...
"Mm...Yes, it didn't give me very much information.." He paused. What to ask? Who the hell were 'The Alliance'? Probably a good idea. "Are you able to...fill me in a bit? About what this might all be about?" The fox...he seemed friendly enough, but looks were...deceiving... truly.

"But of course-- any questions you have, feel free to inquire away at me-- that's part of the reason I'm here, you see," Bryon explained with that easy smile. "I'll do my best to answer them."
And, truth be told, Bryon was here to tell Samael everything he could that was true. At least, that was the theory.

..."What is this...'Alliance'?" He questioned, lowly, lifting his hand up to rest his chin to his palm. Gah, his body ached. Lovely, wasn't it? Watch him have missed a bullet fragment. Mm, poison.
He watched the other curiously, looking over him, studying...trying to figure out what exactly was going on.

"It's a group of individuals who are somewhat... powerful, I suppose, is the word," Bryon shrugged slightly. "We're... well, truth be told, we don't really have a true 'purpose', except to look out for one another for the moment. We all have different... talents, is an appropriate word... and we share them with each other. It's basically something of a security-- if anything should happen to one of us, the rest will come back him up," the fox explained.
And that was what the Alliance was, plain and simple. An alliance. Individuals coming together to form a group greater than themselves.

..Oh, well, that was simple enough. He blinked, and nodded in slight understanding...there had to be a catch, somehow..? Maybe? He thought this over momentarily...powerful, huh..? interesting...very much so, actually.
"Mm...why me?" He questioned, yet again, multiple others running through his head. But, he'd take it one step at a time...

"Truth be told-- you interest a bunch of people. You're powerful, and you've got more loyalty than most of the interesting people around here. Not that it's saying much, but... y'know," Bryon shrugged eloquently. "We're simply trying to raise together a coalition of forces in the event of something happening."

"Ah...I see," well, for the most part, that answered his questions...He just wondered..."When do I meet the others?" He still had a firm belief that there was a catch. But people to watch his back was very, very useful...though he didn't feel much like explaining why he was so thankful for that, since if they knew about the Facility, it might become a problem.

"Well, most of them are in conferences with other possible members right now, but if you're interested in joining, Seishirou has the particulars, I believe," Bryon smiled. "Hey, Seishirou! Come over here for a moment!" he called to the bartender.
"Yes?" the one-eyed man smiled. "What can I do for you?"
"D'ya have the paper?"
"But of course." Taking a moment to fish it out of one of the drawers, Seishirou offered it to Bryon, who took it, before bowing to both and returning to his other patrons.
Turning his gaze back to Samael, Bryon smiled. "Well?"
