Eikichi Taro Stalth was, quite frankly, a bit worried. It looked like the Sniper was to be victorious in their goal for once.

There were five people remaining. If two people were to be jailed, and one was killed, that would leave two people, one of them being the Sniper. Eikichi really didn’t want to be that last person. That would be a bit unfortunate.

Although there was one way out of the situation, assuming that the Sniper wasn’t to be caught by the jail: if the jail and the GCDers somehow voted for the same person, there would be three people left, leaving one person available to jail the Sniper…though that could prove to be a bit awkward.

Eikichi got up off his bed and decided that he was thinking too far into the situation. It didn’t matter. All they could do was jail someone and hope it was the right person. Earlier that day, Sibeiko had confessed to being the Sniper, and hopefully, his claims would turn out to be true.

The clock struck 8, and it was time for voting. Eikichi headed for the door and ran for the lobby as fast as she could. For all he knew, the Sniper could’ve been targeting him.


Somewhere in the hallway with the glass statues, he was caught in the stomach with a bullet, and crumpled to the ground, blood spilling out of the wound and spilling the carpet.

“I hope…that they catch him…” he mumbled to himself as he took his last breath.

The remaining four people gathered together in the lobby: Lingui, Sibeiko, Juria-San, and Zen FallPaw. They’d come to an agreement that for everyone’s sake, whoever was jailed would not attempt to resist and would comply with the orders.

A call from the jailcell came, ringing out through the silent building: “THE JAIL SUSPECTS LINGUI AS BEING THE SNIPER!”

Sighing, Lingui stated, “Y’know they’re wrong, right?” then headed up to the ballroom.

The remaining four people counted up the votes that had been put in, of which there were four: “Let’s see…two votes for Sibeiko, and two votes for Juria-San. What do we do now?”

“…Rock, paper, scissors! Quick!”

Sibeiko and Juria grimaced. The outcome of everyone in the hotel could depend on this one, rather silly, game. The two held out their hands.

Sibeiko grinned. “Paper beats rock.”

As Juria walked up to the ballroom, downtrodden, Zen FallPaw and Sibeiko came to a disturbing realization. Neither Juria-san nor Lingui were the Sniper. Only one hotel resident remained.

“…Wow. This is a bit of an awkward situation.”

Sibeiko and Zen FallPaw stood up from where they sat in the lobby and began to back away from each other, eventually reaching the opposite walls at the end of the room.

A rather awkward silence followed.

“…Looks like I’m stuck, huh?” Sibeiko commented.

Zen FallPaw nodded in conformation. “Yup.” He readied the rifle he’d used for the past twenty-one days and fired across the room, directly at Sibeiko’s head.

His job was done, and it was time to go. Those in the jail could figure a way out themselves. As Zen turned to exit the hotel, he took off the cloak he’d taken to wearing and threw it to the ground.

Meanwhile, the jail had fallen silent. No one was quite certain what to do.

“…So what happened?” Daisuna Ichi questioned. “Did the Sniper get away?”

“I don’t know, but I know one way we can find out.” `Kashi responded. “Come on, everyone. I think we have just enough to break down the door.”

The door did not give way easily, but eventually, the lock broke and it swung open, and the entire contents of the jail came swarming down to the lobby. At about the same time, they discovered both Sibeiko, bleeding from the head and very much dead, and a tattered cloak lying on the ground near the front doorway.

Another rather awkward silence followed.
