I am! I'm so nervous too...
My band director said that the two things that help calm nerves most are water and a few deep breaths.
We've never had that problem here with ice... the only thing is I might have to wait awhile to get the results b/c we have to leave early-ish for a football game. gonk

Guh, I waited forever for my results... Thank good ness for head aches...That kept me from focusing on the pain then my nerves... Our audition was 2 hours... I was in Group one...there were two groups..
EACH TOOK TWO HOURS!
@_@, results took another hour...

Heh cool! Soon...I think like Friday, since I made one of the top four chairs for All Region, I am going to go to the area competition. The top two chair placements...go to STATE!!! >.< that's gotta be tough! (oh well, experience will make it better for next year to try out again!) biggrin

Yeah we just had our all-region try-outs and I got 5th chair!!! What I did to calm my nerves was hang around with the boy I like and kept going to the bathroom. After my try-out when I was waiting I slept in my flannel jacket and looked like a hobo in the hallway but the worst part was when they put all of us in the same room

Well I tried out in november and to those who have tryouts coming soon good luck. I learned to never listen to my band directer for alol region ever again. The day of all region tryouts he made us play and told us that we sounded really good and said I was alittle better then the others by a bit (I'm in jv band though) and we go to all region and play and I ended up getting last chair in my room becuase I got stuck in to a room with no one else from my school and what's worse is that I get stuck in the room with the top one or two players from each of the schools. That's the last time I listen to my band director for regionals
