I have a lot of books I like and a lot of authors I like to read from.
I'd suggest Mary Higgins Clark for anything murder/mystery. 3nodding
Garth Nix, J.K. Rowling, J.R.R. Tolkien.... and the Dragonlance books... >.> <.<

I like Comedy, Detective/Mystery, and fantasy.

Sci-Fi! ^^ I grew up loving that genre, because both my parents are nerds, and so am I! heart Fantasy would be my next resort, but it's not my favorite.
My favorite (Non-Star Wars related) book at the moment is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. My dad got the annotated version for my as an early Christmas preasent. ^^ (I read both books within 48 hours, so I count both Alice and the Looking-Glass as the same book. ^^; wink

really into the Harry Potter series, also adore Piers Anthony, Laurel K. Hamilton and Anne Rice
the books involving fantasy with the stories about vampires and werewolves and sometimes wizards whee

Besides manga, my favorite books are all fantasy: Harry Potter, Eragon, and Artemis Fowl. I just finished the fifth book of Artemis Fowl.
