Newt was hopping home from his daily swim, humming quietly to himself as he went. A spring, he'd fly through the air and then a plop as he'd catch himself, wait a few moments to catch his breath and then spring off again. While his recent change had been unappealing in appearence, hopping had never been so natural, nor easy. His body seemed far better equipt to the task, landing far easier when he could pull his legs around and catch himself more gracefully- that is unless there was some piece of underbrush he hadn't noticed that had been blown across the road. Thankfully, though his round tummy was a far better cusion than his previous skin and bones. He landed in a heap with a pained oof! Ah, just like old-times.

Marshall left the cafeteria, eating a lime Popsicle despite the chilly weather. He was wearing his usual clothes, minus the white under-shirt for simple reasons of laziness. Enjoying his artificially-flavored treat, Marshall was strolling back towards his duplex before he recognized a green friend of his.
"Hey! Newt!" Marshall said, waving with his free hand.

At the sound of his name, Newt's eyes widened and he glanced around, instinctively wondering just what trouble he was in now. "I... I... I ah-!" He cleared his throat with a croak befor he caught sight of the penguin. "Oh..." It wasn't a disapointed Oh, leaning more towards the relieved side of Newt's limited emotional spectrum. "Ah... h-hallo!" He straightened up into a more dignified crouch, and tried to brush off his faded and ill-kept swim trunks. The same swim-trunks, in fact, that Marshall had seen him in the last time.

"How ya doin' Newt?" Marshall asked happily, pushing all thoughts of Awen thinking he was insane out of his mind.
"Say", Marshall said raising a feathered brow, "Weren't you wearing those last week? Don't you have any thing else to wear?" Marshall asked, joking with his friend. Or at least, half-joking. They were rather dirty and such...Maybe he just never got around to washing them?

The frog flinched back at that, suddenly looking very embarassed. "I... ah.... w-well... I w-well I d-do b-but..." He swallowed, eyes trembling over the penguin and his popsical. "Ah... s-so...."

Marshall sighed, putting a hand on Newt's shoulder, "Y'know you can just ask the Labs for new stuff? C'mon, I'll come with you to ask them, alright?" Marshall said with a small smile. He was starting to realize that Newt cried...a lot. "I know the transformations make clothes a lot harder...Hell, Amaya was a nudist when I first met her. It was pretty embarrassing I tell ya." Marshall said, trying to cheer up Newt again.

At the mentioning of nudity and the still sensitive subject of his changed appearence, Newt's throat inflated in an embarassed ribbit, "KrrrKIT! I... ah... I c-called them... I m-mean... D-doctor L-lockheart... b-but... but sh-she was out," He explained meekly, as though that were a perfeclty logical excuse.

"Did you try calling them again? Or...Um...Want me to call for ya? Maybe?" Marshall asked, not exactly sure what to do. Newt seemed to be freaking out about this, when to Marshall it wasn't that big of a deal.

"I... w-well, n-no... th-they... th-they s-said sh.... sh-she was on h-ho-holiday and w-woo-wouldn't be back f-for a while..." He fidgeted, swallowing and rocking a bit. His duplex wasn't that far- maybe he could hop away befor Marshall could keep up if need be?

"Well, any one can give you clothes. It doesn't have to be this...Aubrey, y'know. Look, lets head to your duplex and I'll call them for you, alright?" Marshall asked, wondering why Newt was being (no pun intended) jumpy.

"Ah... y-you... y-you... you d-don't have to s-say they're f-for me, do you? I m-mean... it's alright! I'm... I m-mean, I sp-spend most of my t-time sw-swimming anyway and... it j-just seems like a waste!"

"Look, you can't go around in nothing but you're swim trunks, alright? Of course, I shouldn't be one to talk since I have like...4 pairs of the exact same pairs of clothes, but thats besides the point. But, what if like, your trunks rip or some thing, huh?" Marshall lectured, as if he was dealing with a small child. What a bizarre friendship.
"C'mon, your Duplex is pretty close, right? I'll go call 'em up for you. And if it makes you feel better, we can say they're for me. Okay?" Marshall suggested with a smile.

"M-m-maybe... m-maybe w-we should use your d-duplex in th-that case?" Newt paused, although he still trembled lightly, "Ah... to... to m-make it more b-believable?"

"Now you're thinking. So, what do you want? T-shirts, collared shirts, Hawaiian shirts? They're paying for it, so I say go nuts!" Marshall laughed as he walked towards his duplex. Though, thoughts of Awen were still in the back of his head.
"Hey, Newt, can I ask you some thing?"

Newt thought about it. The last time he had gotten clothes besides his jumper, Aubrey had ordered them for him. Befor then, he was normally in his uniform, pajamas, or on those rare occasions he had had time off, he had worn.... usually a jumper with his underclothes underneith. Back home years ago he had been a fan of plaid pants and collared shirts and comfy large black sweaters, but none of those seemed practical in the jungle. T-shirts? What sort? They'd all look silly on him now, wouldn't they?
When Marshall spoke up again, the frog glanced up at him befor hopping after, "Ah... y-yes?"
