I've been out of the loop lately. There's something very clearly wrong. I'd hate to say that it's the fanfiction, so I'll just say it's also probably me.
There's an utter lack of really REALLY good SasuSaku fanfics. And I mean really. There are still the ones that make me go "Aww," but they don't stick as much as they used to. Am I losing my love for SasuSaku? I mean, the fanfics are what keep me grounded to the pairing, and as I'm sorely in lack of terribly good fanfiction pieces, I'm afraid that my love is fading. I'm not sure if it's the lack of it that I'm losing my love for it, or if I'm losing my love for it and that's why I'm finding SasuSaku pieces increasingly boring.
I'm not about to say that I'll be supporting another couple from the fandom, but the fact is... my obsession is wearing down a little. And that's not good - why would I be inspired to write fanfics if I'm not... well... inspired?
Maybe it's also the lack of it in the manga. And since I fill that lack with good fanfiction, you can see my problem.
I need help. Really. I need you guys to show me there's still something to be obsessed about. Because that obsession is the lifeblood of my inspiration. And I hate having to switch fandoms too much.

I know what you mean. -.- I'm afraid that might be happening to be aswell. I mean fanart doesn't put as big of an impact on me as fanfictions and I can't really write a fanfic with Sasuke in character so...yeah. -.- We need help. D:

*sigh* it's not just you. I've been a LinkXZelda fan for ages and there are up and down times for me, but I'm still rooting for that couple. Especially that new LOZ game is coming out. Sasusaku is a great couple. I think it might be the lack of Sasuke and Sakura on the manga. I was really hyped about it when I first became a sasusaku fan, and then it was also when the "Reunion" chapters came out. You won't feel like that forever, of course lol I know there are tons of Sasusaku ffics out there, but there are only couples that can actually grab my attention. Don't worry about it just now. Maybe you can try looking at the random fanarts. They're more like unspoken ffic chapters ^-^

I'm actually looking at it like the symptoms of a disease. Like before, I used to love KenshinKaoru of the Rurouni Kenshin fandom. I was so obsessed with it - probably not as much as SasuSaku, but it was to the point that the obsession was the elixir of inspiration just like SasuSaku.
Then I started getting bored with it. Every story I read just made me feel numb about the pairing when it used to make me feel giddy.
I wonder if that's happening again. I'm not sure if I'm just exploring another fandom (I'm currently looking into EdWinry of the FMA fandom), or if I'm unknowingly shopping for a new pairingship. I don't want to, really - I hate having to change fandoms too frequently.
Maybe if I stayed away from SasuSaku a bit, then maybe I'll come back craving for it? ... It's a theory.

Kit says...
It's okii if you need a break, Tenshi. Just as long as you come back <.> I know what it's like to kinda get bored with one pairing for a little while. It happens to everyone. :3 My suggestion is looking for fanart & stuff around the net, unless you feel like you need a break. 3nodding

I have a nice SasuSaku-sorta fanfic. It's kinda placed after Sasuke comes back, with a son.. And the problems...*trails off*
But don't worry! Read the Dou-stuff (still can't spell it!) on DA. I keep myself grounded by my poetry. 3nodding Anyways, you should keep away from it for a while. The only pairing I remember giving up on was LinkSaria..... No love, maybe brother-sister like NaruSaku.. Anyways, keep in touch with us in case you do keep away for a while.

I'm sorry to hear that you're feeling like this. However, my personal advice to you is that you NOT worry and fret about it. There's been a very big lack of not only SasuSaku, but Sakura individually (I'm not saying Sasuke because of the fact that he's no longer in Konoha).
Also, your interest in other pairings are probably a part of your current feelings for SasuSaku. During my leave on Gaia, I began watching Eureka Seve, and I became obsessed with DominicxAnemone. For a good while SasuSaku didn't mean anything at all. I was feel, "Yeah, I like that pairing." while whenever DomAne came up, I was jumping for joy. I watched the entire series, and after a while of nothing new to look at in terms of DomAne, the fangirl in me calmed down. I'm stilla MAJOR fan of DomAne, but I'm not going NUTS over it anymore.
What my point is, is that a lack of new "moments" (I can't think of a fitting word. Gomen.) of a certain pairing you like is going to make you less excited about it. I wasn't caring for SasuSaku much at all until I got back from my break, saw all this new fanart and fanfiction and whatnot that I had missed before, and now my overall OTP has gone from DomAne back to SasuSaku.
If you are very concerned about yourself losing interest, and you think you can go for a break, my advice would be to take it. I'm not saying that a break is guaranteed to work for you, but I know that it helped a lot for me. It's easy to lose interest in a pairing, I think, but it's difficult to trying find yourself giving up and learning to not care AT ALL about said pairing.
None of us do or are going to think any less of you for this chancing. Let's face it, it's taking a toll on most of us. The lack of SasuSaku interaction is wearing down on us...but I don't think it's something you should berate yourself about. Just take a break if you need, go explore other pairings, and comeback when something new happens, or if you feel like you miss your SasuSaku fandom. We'll be here, waiting. <3
If you decide to take a break, we'll miss you. But I'd rather us miss you for a long time than losing to one day. >w<
It's a disease, yes....but we've all got it...or most of us anyway. <3 Don't fret, we'll get our SasuSaku interaction someday!

-Points up- Everyone's basically already said all that's needed to be said.
Maybe all you do need is a break. I do from time to time, and it really helps. Sometimes you just like something so much.. you start to become bored of it. It happens to everyone.
And like Iia said, if you do decide to take a break, we'll miss you. <3 But do what you have to do.

I joined that quite a while back. I could never find the site.. Anywho, I'm watching the dubbed episodes. It's getting near the part where Gaara drops Sakura from his sand hold and Sasu-kun catches her! <33333333

Hah. I remember being obsessed with Link and Zelda... Heh. Oh. Right. Well, I've been through a LOT of obsessions (Mostly pairings or anime or games) in my life and I think the main reason I've let most of them go were lack of interest of because the show or pairing did not keep going.. I mean, Like Amy Rose and Sonic from Sonic Adventures.. That was crazy fangirl obsession that kind of got me into liking couples for obsessions. Well, I finished my Sonic game already and there's not really any thing new on them so I figure that's probably why.. Oh. Link and Zelda? Well, I never did finish the N64 game on Orcarina of Time (I finished the boss) sooo I lost interest there as well.. What other fandoms? INUYASHA. Hohh.. That was really.. big. I really loved it. I became a lover of the colour red (You might be able to tell). I think that died down because I didn't watch all the episodes and my cousin's hatred for Kikyou and InuYasha rubbed off on me a bit.. I didn't hate them, but I just thought InuYasha was annoying for hanging onto Kikyou so much even though he loved Kagome afterwards.. Err.. right now, I'm continuing playing FF9 because my friend let me borrow hers and before, maybe a 2 years ago, when I first tried it, I reaaaaally loved it and Zidane and Dagger were also one of my favourite pairings.. EEE! And now that I've continued it (with a non-corrupted disc!!!) I'm starting to love them again!!
OKAY. Well. I believe I won't let my SasuSaku fandom die down because Naruto is still going.. They still haven't had a long enough encounter with Sasuke.. Even though I am a bit upset that Sasuke and Sakura didn't interact much, I think Masashi Kishimoto will put that somewhere.. HE HAS TO. Or else. I don't read fanfics or look at fanart of SasuSaku as much anymore, but I still think I've got this fandom fueled up. Another reason of why I'm still inspired is because I make AMVs and I don't think I'll be stopping ANYtime soon.. (Unless my computer crashes, my program is gone, or if Sasuke and/or Sakura are/is killed off.)
