Ok, so I know there are at least 12 volumes of Death Note. But I heard somewhere that there was a 13th volume released. I dont know what its about, and I dont know if is after the series or a sort of prolouge, and now that I am thinking about it, I realize that I dont know anything about it. Even if it exists.
Does anyone know if this is true or not?

yeah the 13th volume is called "death note: how to read" (for..some reason).. i havent read it yet but it was released oct 13 2006 for sure lol xd

Apparently it comes with Near's finger puppets, and it says what L's real name is.

It's not part of the story however, it is simply titled "how to read:" and yes, if you spend 45 dollers (which I did) you get some seriously awesome stuff, such as Near's puppets, a poster/box, an awesome box to keep everything in, and a decorated cardboard box which even more stuff goes in. (more stuff =other box + poster)

(more stuff =other box + poster) It's a poaster of a puzzle of near lying down with all his finger puppets. It also turns into a box, that has on the inside the scene of the warehouse thing where the story ends (so you can set up the finger puppets there)
