I've often wonder why Inuyasha doesn't have a tail. I mean he is a dog half demon after all. He has the ears, where's his tail? Why doesn't Sesshomaru have a tail either for that matter?

Well tails don't exactly run in his family. Look at his dad and brother(when they are not in demon form) Than it could also be because he's half demon. He dosn't posses all demon traits. Or it could be that the creators didn't want the wolf demons to be confused for a dog demon so they didn't give the dog demons tails.

Why Mess With Perfection?
Just kidding but serously he just wouldn't look good with one. He would look to much like Koga. Not to mention if he were to go around Kagome's time he would be to noticable.
