Hey, I've never actually gotten this myself..all i know is you need 7777 health..but how fast do you attack and stuff?

whilst under lucky 7s staitus your charictors ATB gauge should fill up at about dubble the rate of normal and you will always attack and hit for 7777 damage each time. (thoe when you natuary hit for more than that there is very little point to lucky 7s espescaly so when your useing 4-cut)

It's more luck than a pain... I've never gotten it. But, if your character gets even 1 more HP, the lucky 7 stat will dissapear.

is it just me, or doesn't the lucky 7 also wack you? You get the fun of the stat up but when the battle is over your character dies.

no i think they only go to 1hp.

you're right. Sorry, its been a while since I played. The memory is foggy. Still 1hp sucks. Might as well be dead and use a phoenix down.

The best way to get lucky 7 is to have a level 62 (i think) Cid and give him materia that raises hishealth percent until he has 7777 health smile

Actually there IS a mathematical way to obtain the Lucky 7 status. Would anyone like to know?

First off, the character needs to have a maximum HP of over 7777.

Reduce your character's HP to something BELOW 154.

Go back aboard the bridge of the Highwind. Then equip the Cat's Bell item on your character. Walk around until the character's HP is EXACTLY 154, then de-equip it.

Go down into a battle, and use an action that will half your character's HP (Laser enemy-skill, Demi2). You should have 77 HP left.

Go to the start screen and use 14 Hi-Potions and 7 Potions. If done correctly, you should have 7777 HP, therefore, Lucky 7 status is induced.

When you are in Lucky 7 status, your character will attack the enemy 67 times, uninterrupted by the enemy or allies. Each attack takes away 7777, as you know. So 67 x 7777 = 521 059 HP.

Think about it. That's over half a million damage in one shot. Getting Lucky 7 may be tedious, but it would certainly make bosses or the WEAPONS a little bit easier. If you strategically planed out what to do after the character finished attacking and fell to 1 HP, taking on Emerald Weapon would be a snap. To my experience, using the Lucky 7 on Ruby Weapon only made things worse.

Hope it cleared a few things up.

In response to Total-Bishie's comment, I have heard that when fighting Emerald Weapon the ever feared Air Tam Storm actually takes 1111HP for every piece of materia equiped to a charicter. So in theory, give a decent charicter a mastered HP plus materia and one more of your choosing. They should be brought up to 9999.

Air Tam Strom does 2222 damage. BAM!!! Lucky Sevens!
All hear say. Never personally performed... Yet.

Yes that is true, I wouldn't have thought about that! But then again, what if he attacked you twice in quick succession? Once as a different attack, and then Air Tam Storm? You can't be sure you'll have full HP at the time he decides to use it. whee Good chance though, if you spam Cure3/Megalixirs. Yay! biggrin

That IS much simpler than my method though, haha. I had all of this simple math, but not a lot of people would spend time trying to get Lucky Sevens. Er, that's not to say I spent several hours.....nevermind. Yes, who's a game nerd? Me. Proud of it.

Ooh, thank you for enlightening me on that matter! I must go try that now. heart

IF your going to use cat's bell and walk around tell you have a certain number of hit points why not walk tell you have 7777 exactly. I am sure it would be easy to set it so your max hp can not be more then 7777 with materia combinations.
