Olly squinted lightly as he glanced up at the sky. Cloudy, as it had been for the past few weeks, on and off. He rather liked the fall weather, it was good for flying kites since wind came up more, plus it was cooler out, good for a kid whose fur seemed to thicken more each day. He sighed happily, and lowered his eyes again, remembering that he needed to keep an eye on his companion, the young brass wyrmling who went by the name of Trace.

Olly didn't think it was right to keep the creature on a leash, so he trusted him not to run off or do anything overly mischievous. He glanced about...they had left for their walk from Kami's gaian home, and now they were in a small suburban area a good distance away. Kami's house always seemed out in the middle of nowhere when you went on a walk...it'd felt like they'd walked forever before reaching other houses.

Trace had taken the lead, as usual...as much as he enjoyed Olly's company he did like to explore, and experience new things. Because, if you did a lot of that, then you'd have plenty more to talk about later. Or that's how he saw things, at least. He had been trying to get Olly to be more adventurous, but as much as Olly loved to roughouse that was proving to be harder then the dragon had imagined. Silly timid little camel. He snuffled about at the sidewalk they were on, and glanced at the houses as they passed, rather wishing they had someone to play with.

It was getting a bit chilly, yes, but Lucas couldn't be mad at him for coming out. He was wearing a scarf and long sleeves, and the only reason he'd left his jacket inside was because... well, he needed all his limbs to work at this stubborn mold! High above the ground and unknown to his guardian, Canti perched upon a windowill well-worn from the many seasons it had to endure. All the plants upon it had been moved inside for the winter and all the dirty remnants brushed off before the child even considered slipping out. He was tiny and light, which was the only reason it was holding him up now. The bucket of warm water and soap it didn't like so much, but held and only crooned its protests whenever the ant shifted his weight.

A soft pink tongue peeked out of the corner of his mouth as his eyes narrowed with concentration, staring down the enemy. The enemy currently being the stubborn green mold clinging to the shutters of an obviously white set of shutters, of course. The warm water and suds had succeeded in wearing some of the younger developments away, but now it was time for some more intense, which his two upper hands did. All the shaking was causing the sill to rattle and cry out in protest, but it was nothing that anyone inside would notice and Canti seemed to be ignoring it.

It was an odd sight to be sure- a toddler standing on the second story, only a short misstep away from having to take a long plummet to the earth. Wasn't he scared? Apparently not. In fact, the only time he became effected was in his next move. The boy passed the wet rag to one of his lower arms and bent easily at the knees, swooping in to grab some water. He must have jarred the bucket at the time the wood dipped with him, for a moment later it was tumbling off the edge. The ant cried out softly, clutching the shutters with one hand and pressing back against the house. Down fell the bucket, tipped over and spewing soapy water over the fence and out towards the sidewalk and street. The thing hit the ground with a thump and lay there. Canti frowned. No more soap! Scanning the street for any passerbys, the boy spotted the camel and his... very large lizard companion. Maybe if he waved his arms enough...

Trace caught sight of this before Oliver did. He gasped, and let out a loud trill, having just caught sight of the ant as the bucket fell from the window. And it had happened a fair ways off, so of course Olly yelped when Trace bounded off to investigate the fallen bucket, not realizing right away what would attract his reptilian companion. He sniffed at the now-empty bucket, and then stopped to gaze up at the ant, a bit surprised as he squinted up at the boy. Why, he looked just like the ones in the garden, except he was terribly large! He turned to rush halfway back to Olly, leaping and rearing on his hind legs to try and point out the ant-thing, before falling backwards and rolling around.

Olly had panicked when Trace had jetted off, but was relieved when he didn't go too far. "Trace, no! That's someone else's....yard..." he stopped, seeing almost immediately what had gotten the dragon excited. A very small someone seemed to be perched atop a very high place, and he ran over to see what was up. Moving across the lawn of the ant's residence, he gazed up at him, biting his lip. It made him rather dizzy simply thinking about being up that high, with hardly anything to secure himself or hold onto. "Hello???" Olly called up to the ant, standing back a bit to see him clearly. "Are you alright?"

The ant stared down at the camel and his lizard, but more so at his fallen bucket. No more cleaning! Sighing forlornly, the boy took in the others, brightening somewhat when he was dressed. "Hello!" He called, leaning his head out towards the stranger as much as he dared. There was a short nod to the question concerning his health, for that wasn't really what was important. "Can you get?" Implored the toddler, pointing towards the bucket with quite a few of his hands. He wasn't quite sure about this other, but he really only needed to get his bucket back. If Oliver could do that much, he would be good in Canti's book. "...Please let not the lizard roll into the flowers."

Olly watched the perilously perched insect with wide eyes...he must be crazy, washing the windows like that on a cold, and slightly windy day! Oh well...he was asking for help and the camel would do what he could. He wandered over to the object, and looked back to Trace. "Trace, get over here, keep away from their garden." he called, and stood up with the bucket. Well...he didn't see how he could get the bucket back...but maybe Trace could! Olly smirked, reminded of the little lizards that lived on the backwall of their house. If those could do it, Trace probably could. "Trace!" he held the bucket up after attracting the dragon's attention. "See if you can climb back up and give this to him, hmm?"

Trace blinked lightly as he watched the ant, his tongue lolling out at the word 'lizard'. He'd come to know that one as some sort of nickname, and knew that most of the time that when the word came up when he was around, it could only mean that they were talking about him! He jerked his head to Olly and blinked at the request. He took the bucket handle in his mouth and bounced over to the wall of the house...sure he could! He was a good climber. Locking his claws in with each movement, he started to scale the wall carefully, just as a lizard would.

"Here it comes!" Olly called, hoping Trace wouldn't scare the youngster, or drool on the bucket handle too much. "Don't mind Trace, he's very friendly!"

Canti wasn't so much concerned about the lizard as he was the side of the house. When it came to cleaning, he showed no semblance of fear at all. When it came to meeting strangers? Eh... Not so much. The boy crouched on the window upon sight of him, scarf fluttering somewhat in the breeze. "Careful Tray-se. No holes in my house!" He had a dragon of his own already, albeit much, much smaller than the one now scaling the house. It was an alien, if you really wanted to be exact about it, and nothing like the dragon he would receive later in his life. Real dragons didn't eat birdseed, right?

The boy leaned out when the dragon got closer, gripping the ledge as he did. "Biiiig lizard." He noted. "Thank you, Tray-se. Does he like to be petteded?" This, of course, directed at the owner. He didn't want to pat the dragon for bringing him the bucket and have it get mad at him, after all.

Trace carefully scaled the wall, leaving no marks behind, his claws hooking well into the side of the house, following the little ant's request.

Olly watched, a little nervous, but confidant of Trace all the same. What he was truly anxious over was how the ant was perched up so high...the thought of the little boy falling horrified him greatly. He fidgetted a bit, and then nodded after Canti's question. "He's friendly, loves to be petted...do be careful, though!" he said, some of his concern shining through.

Trace reached the window in no time at all, and offered the bucket to the ant, his tail lashing lightly underneath him, seeming to wag in happiness over his accomplishment.

A smile crossed the toddler's ebony features as the dragon appeared before him. Well, the fuzzy one had said he was friendly! Reaching out with his upper set of arms, the ant stroked one hand over the top of Trace's head sweetly while the other graciously took the bucket back into his possession. "Goood." He crooned softly at the brass, placing the bucket safely just inside the window. He'd have to go get some more water and soap... later. Right now there was someone in his yard seeming quite willing to talk or at least tell him how silly he must look upon the window-sill.

"Imma Canti," He told the camel. "Who are you being?" That is, what's your name? Already he knew the dragon's name, but what about the owner. "What had you been doing?" Before rescuing his bucket, of course.

Trace growl-purred, eyes rolling up as his already existent grin seemed to grow wider, and he settled right close to the window sill, content to be petted by this nice new person, even if he was a gigantic ant. And he was a black one at least...the red ones always tried to bite the soft skin between his toes!

Olly smiled a little, finding it awfully odd to be having such a nonchalant conversation with someone who could fall to his death at any second. But if he was so confident then he must have been secure...so Olly loosened up a bit, or tried. "My name's Oliver, but most people call me Olly. We were just taking a walk." Oliver took a seat on the grass. "How about you??"

Ha ha, it was like a giant cat! Antennae twitched towards the large reptile, trying to get a scent where a nose was not present together. Why he did this was likely a mystery even to him, but instinctively he followed the urge. Hopefully Trace wouldn't feel the urge to reach out and snap one of them off. Odd he may have been, but Canti was very much interested in being welcoming to the ones who had trodden into his home and not at all concerned with just how high up he was.

"Ah-liver." He sounded, "Taking a walk. Is cold, Olly." You're one to talk. "Where be your jacket? Does not your parent make you put on?" At the question, he raised his head somewhat, smiling. "Fighting evil!" He proclaimed. "The nasty growings on this shutter. Do not want. I clean!" Yes, it was quite the worthy cause.

Trace looked a tiny bit surprised at the little antennae, and he seemed to chuckle throatily as they touched lightly over his skin, tickling lightly. He made no move to bite or investigate further, seeming to understand that the feelers were part of the boy.

Oliver smiled a little. He'd put on a hat and long pants at least, but there was a plausible reason for not doing much more. "I got fur, so my mom isn't so hard with that sort of thing...it's not too chilly to me, really." Okay, maybe not such a strong argument. But fur did help...he'd read in his camel book and on the internet that camels could stand insane temperatures at both hot and cold extremes. Though he wasn't about to test that theory, he figured a little cold weather wouldn't hurt him. He was supposed to be a creature built for endurance.

He blinked a bit at the little ant's response, raising a brow. Cleaning!? Olly almost thought it was a joke. "Wow! That sure is a lot to go through just to clean." he commented.
