"Gah", the toddler grunted as she walked up the small path to Kilah's house. For having not been there in quite a while, she sure did have a good memory of it's location. She hardly needed Dia to remind her where to turn the corners and whatnot. But that didn't mean that her guardian didn't decide to tag along. She had nothing else to do.

"It sooo hot!", Taryn complained while sheilding her eyes from the sun and quickening her pace. Hopefully Noya's house wasn't as hot as outside.

"Who told you to wear a sweatsuit outfit?", Dia retorted with a smirk wihle staring at the white and purple ensemble.

"It cute! And new.. I have to wear sometime", Taryn concluded wit a shrug just as she reached the frontdoor. With a sigh of relief she knocked quickly.

(We're gonna mess with time here and say this is right before Kilah 'ran away'. xd )

"Get the door, Akilah!" Noya's voice called from inside, barely heard over a babies crying. It seemed that new girl Twila was making quite a fuss!

Kilah, of course, with her understandablely above-average hearing had heard them coming, and new well who they were. She was plenty glad to see them, too, or Taryn anyway. Somebody needed to see her new nose ring! It was too 'badass' to not show off.

The door opened, Kilah staring blankly ahead of her, raising one hand in a careless wave. "Yo."

(( lol alright XD I was wondering if you were gonna use her or not. *points to title* ))

"Kilah!"

Taryn broke out in a grin and started to raise her hands in embrace when she realized something different about Kilah.

"...your nose have stone?", she questioned while stepping closer to her friend for a better look. What was that thing? How did she even get it to stay on without moving?

Dia smiled down at Kilah,"Hey, long time no see", she greeted. As for the nose ring.. well she figured that it had to be a clip on or something.

(Yeah, we'll just warp time here. XD)

"Yeah, it's real, too!" Kilah insisted, grinning broadly. It was true. "My friend Morty had to poke a big hole in my nose to get it to stay, and I didn't cry at all!" That wasn't true.

When she'd returned home, she hadn't gotten so much as a scolding from anyone. Her sisters were too young to have earned the right for such, Lucky found it amusing, claiming it was quite alright for her to be such a 'rebel' even at such a young age, and Noyama had little to no clue as to the point of piercings.

Kilah had told her it was a custom here, and of course the naive protector had believed her without a second thought. That or she just didn't care. "Come on in, Twila won't shut up, but we can go to my room where it's quiet."

"Whoa! It look cool", Taryn murmered while being unable to stop staring at it. True it did look nice. But the way that she had to get it sounded pretty icky.

She raised her own hand to her nose as though imagining herself with a nose ring. She quickly dismissed the thought though. Kilah was alot tougher then then she was. "Kilah's really brave", she commented before following her into the house.

"Twila?", she questioned while wincing and raising her hands to cover her ears.

Dia had slipped past Kilah and was no wandering around the hut. It didn't take her long to find Noya. The screaming helped her.

"I know," she agreed as she led her friend to her room. Blind or not, Kilah had walked around this house so many times she didn't even need to use the wall most of the time anymore. Of course, Noya's lack of funiture certainly did help her in the area of not running into things. "When I get bigger, I'mma gonna get one for my ears and my tounge, too."

"Baby, what is wrong?" Noyama asked worriedly as she held the baby up for inspection. She looked alright to her. She'd just suddenly started crying, and nothing seemed to calm her down. Noticing Dia, she lowered the sobbing 'star child' and tried to smile. "Hello, Sister Dia! Noyama apology for crying." Poor Noyama's poor horrible English...

"Your tongue?", wierd how the ear part didn't seem so wierd to her. "Kilah's gonna be stoned", she giggled while referring to the earrings themself. Poor little girl didn't notice how odd that sounded. She had never really been inside of the hut. Only the barn. She made sure to catch qick glances about her. She wondered why they didn't have too many chairs and tables around.

"Hi Noya! It's alright... she's too cute not to be forgiven", she commented while making small wave fingers to the baby.

"New daughter?", she asked while grinning at the little girl.

(lmao xd Wouldn't surprise me if she really was one day. Like the basement in That 70's Show. -BRICKED-)

Kilah's room was different from the front room, which led immediatly into the hall, many doors on each side. She had a bed placed directly under the only window in the room, off to the side. A table was in the center of the room with two chairs on either side, and a 'desk' was off to their right with a chair behind it from where she'd played 'The Godfather' with Flitch that one time.

A small TV that ran on batteries was on the floor, and somehow Lucky had gotten a VCR hooked up to it and working. Quite the electronics genius. Movies were only the floor beside it, mostly violent ones. Zombie ones, and action flims seemed to be the majority.

"Yes, Kilah find her," Noyama explained as the baby paused briefly to look at Dia then burst into tears again. Good thing Noya didn't know the part about Kilah wanting to put her in a basket and send her down the 'river'...

(( lol XDD ))

Taryn entered the room and found herself not too surprised. It wasn't heavily decorated like her own. Kilah seemed more like the simple type anyways. But Kilah did have one thing that she was lacking. A television.

She knelt down to get a better look at it, before smiling up at Kilah. "Oh this neat. Dia won't let me have tv in room, 'cause she think I'm gonna stay up all night", she explained while rolling her eyes. Dia's logic made no sense to her. Sure she probably would stay up late, but she had to get sleepy sometime.

"Aww that's nice of Kilah", Dia replied while nodding. "..Uh, is she hungry or something?", she asked after it seemed like the baby would never stop crying.

"It's the only one in the house." Obviously Kilah was quite proud of that fact. Lucky had bought it for her (or made it, maybe) after someone had teased her about her..erm, condition. The fox girl had said it was stupid of them to say, and given her the TV to listen to in hopes of proving the only difference was she couldn't see the picture. "I listen to a lot of the movies. The screams are funny." Up all night? Hm. Kilah didn't get much sleep, but she was always grumpy anyway... "I don't, sometimes, the ghost keeps me up."

Noyama gave her 'sister' a look that seemed to say without actually saying, 'Are you kidding?' It was true she didn't know the whole story of Twila's discovery, but she seriously doubted Kilah would just lovingily except a new sibling into the house she claimed belonged to her. "No, not hungry. Try that. She cry for sake of tears, maybe?"

"Yea, I love watching movies. I collect all of the Disney ones!", she said while standing up to place her hands on her hips. She loved her movies and didn't like to do anything more then watch them over and over. She could recit most of the lines. "Except Disney ones don't have much screaming.. unless it happy scream", she added.

"Ehh, ghosts?? I knew it! Dia tell me no such thing, but I know it not true!", Taryn sputtered out in a frantic voice. Her fists formed small balls as her eyes immediantly locked to the foot of Kilah's bed. Scary things hid under the bed didn't they?

She was prepared to attack or run if anything popped out.

Dia frowned down at Twila. "I don't know.. kids I have never cried like that. But maybe I just got lucky or something", she said with a shrug. She decided to lean down towards the baby and place gher hands over her face before peeking out.

'PEEKABOO!"

...Maybe Twila was a baby in need of a fun game?

"Don't worry, if anything comes out I'll send Gizmo after it." Where was he, anyway? Probably chasing her new bunny around, the bad griff! She'd be sure to scold him next time she could. But Kilah could handle any ghost by herself anyway. After all, nothing could beat her! "Dia's wrong if she told you that, though. Ghosts are real. Monsters too, I bet!"

Twila's sobs haulted. After a single blink, she proceeded to stare at Dia for a good twenty seconds before bursting into tears again. Yes, Dia was lucky compared to Noyama...

Wait...

Lucky!

"Lucky!" Noyama nearly screeched upon the discovery, holding the baby up again. "Twila wants Lucky! Want Lucky, Twila? See Lucky?"

For whatever reason, all of her kids (even Kilah), seemed to just adore her. Maybe it was because she wanted them to leave her alone...

"Kkkky!" Twila offered, crying having stopped, clapping her hands together.

Kilah's comments weren't helping Taryn any. She tried really hard to seem.. 'brave'. Really, she did. But the way her face paled and her eyes widened seemed to prove otherwise.

She nodded at the reference to Gizmo, while wondering what exactly he could do to protect them. He was only but so big anyways. The monsters could probably chew him up in a matter of seconds. But she dicn't wsnt to disappoint her friend with such thoughts.

"How can you sleep when it dark?", she questioned. "What if they come up and take a bite out of you.. or worst make you into a monster like them??"

Dia started to feel proud of her actions. If for only a few seconds that is. For a baby so small, she sure could scream for a long time.

"Oh Lucky? Hehe, if she can make her quiet her cries, I'll have alot of respect for her", Dia noted.

Kilah had been nodding her head to everything Taryn said. Lucky had told her nodding made it seem like you were listening even if you weren't, and showed her what 'nodding' was by moving her head up and down. That's how Kilah learned everything, really.

But to be fair, she was listening, even as she gathered the movies up in her arms. They were getting in the way. When Taryn's question came, she froze so suddenly the video she had been picking up dropped to the ground. Her tone lined with vemon, she answered sharply, "It's always dark for some of us."

As if on que, Lucky marched into the house, chewing on the end of an unlighted cigarette. Oddly enough, she very rarely actually lit one. Even then, it was never in the presence of anyone else. "Yo, what's wrong with the shrimp?" She questioned, dropping both bags she was carrying and snatching the baby away, though Noya seemed plenty happy to give her up.

"Quit your crying, kid, your face'll stay like that if you scowl that way." Amazingly, Twila's sobs stopped for real this time, and even turned into giggles! "Luu! Kky!"

(( I have to go >_>.. Finals are tomorrow. *le sigh* G'night! ))

A blank expression crossed her face, as Taryn wondered about what she meant. But when she finally caught on.. well, she wasn't the most chirpest speaker anymore.

"Um, I not mean.. it just... monsters, so, really.. sorry", she sputtered out pitifully. The fact that Kilah was blind seemed so minor to her that she sometimes forgot. Kilah was able to do just about anything she could and more really. Her hands clasped behind her back and looked embarrasingly to the ground. It didn't matter that Kilah couldn't see her apologetic behavior. It was a natural reaction.

Dia stared in amazement at the quick acting Lucky. "Impressive..", she noted. "She must look up to you or something". Dia smiled that ol' pleasant smile of hers which never seemed to change. It was even annoying at times to.
