Kayre sat in the sun, panting. The night before she had been with Vulperomes, and she had felt very weird with him. A bad, bad feeling. Kayre had gotten very little sleep and was restless. Her morning was an odd one. First she had gone on a very long run to calm her nerves. However, it didn't help, and she ended up collapsing from exhastion. Then, finding herself very sweaty, she managed to heave herself over to the spring to wash herself. Now she lay there, her fur just barelydry in the noonday sun. She was still exhasted, physically and mentally. These feelings were ruining everything. Kayre didn't even have the desire to seduce a male.
Now that was weird.

Vulperomes was annoyed. He had found a thin gold chain left from the humans that had once inhabited the temple, not that he knew where it had come from. He just thought it was pretty, and matched well with his russet, cream and black coat. However, even that hadn't managed to get the thought of her from his mind. Usually he was able to dismiss females easily, but something about her shook him up, and he didn't like it.
Still walking around, he didn't look quite as seamless as he had the night before. No sleep will do that to a malu. However it didn't make him very much less attractive. Instead it gave him a more rugged, used look... he still preferred being flawless though.
Heading toward the spring, deciding to get a drink of water, he saw the object of his waking daydreams. Not sure how to act, he had come up surprisingly close. Instead he just stopped and looked at her. Despite her somewhat disheveled state, she still looked perfect to him. He, for once was speechless as he looked at her.

Kayre turned her yead, and saw Him standing there. Looking at her. "Hi...Vul-Vul" she said, trying to sound as normal and flawless as she always did. It was hard though. Part of her really wanted to be with him and see him, but the other half wanted to run away again. She was contemplating the options, but found that she was too exhasted to run away anyway.
"You look like you had a bit of trouble last night" she said, giggling. It was fake. Had he lost sleep over her as well? "Miss me?"

He allowed himself a longing look for a moment before he snapped his mask back on. Smiling smoothly he responded in his usual sly manner, "Dreams of you kept me awake darling, so I prayed to my goddess of beauty to allow me to endure your perfection." He said, truth lining his words. He had to quickly remember that he had lied about his god, which suddenly he felt very guilty about.
He frowned, "You look like you've had fun in my absence. Did you find another male to terrorize." He joked lightly, feeling a bit jealous at the image of her with another.

Kayre smiled "Of course, of course. I am sure your goddess is truely shining upon me for being near you" she said. He was very handsom, so of course he worshipped the goddess of beauty.
"Oh yes...I was up on night seducing another boy" she said, yawning. That was a lie, but she really wanted to push him away. Plus it was an excuse for how tired she looked. "He really went for me. I think I am going to visit him again tomorrow"

Vulperomes blood broiled at the very thought of her with another malu, but he forced a smile, deciding to tell the truth, "I've met another very pretty malu, he name is Citrine. We're supposed to meet today at noon. I suppose I could hang around with you until then." He said carelessly, moving over to sit next to her.
He wanted to be close, he couldn't understand. He had never felt this way. Because he had grown up away from the temple, he had become more instinctual than the other malu here, but this female made him dizzy with emotion. Not that he'd ever show it...

Kayre felt anger bubble up inside. She suddenly felt a hate for this 'Citrine' girl. Of course, Kayre was doing the same with as Vulperomes was doing, running around with other Malu. So she could be ok with it...but she wasn't.
Kayre couldn't show it though "ohhh, another girly? Vul-vul have a giiirl friend?" she teased, getting up, even though she was still exhausted. She strutted up, giving him a little kiss. "Have fun darling. Tell me all about it, ok?" she said, trying to act like she was cheering him on, and had no jelousy involved. Kayre acted like she was for him going around with other girls. Good thing Kayre was a good actesss.

He saddened, not showing it on the outside. She didn't care at all that he was with other malu, other FEMALE malu! She was cheering him on! Any other time he would have been so happy for this situation, but she made him feel such confusing things, and he HATED not knowing what was going on, especially within himself.
Not even pausing because of his thoughts he smiled, "Well thank you, I wish you the best of luck with your conquests..." He stood and leaned in close to her, kissing her slowly, "Leave some room for the best though." He offered a coy smirk as he backed off a couple steps, afraid he would do something else if he could smell the estrogen from her body very much longer.

Kayre kept her forced smile on. He didn't care that she didn't care. Oh man, this was getting very complicated. She felt angry still. These feelings...they shouldn't happen! Kayre felt a pang of guild for breaking all those boys hearts. They must have felt this way. She didn't show any of her feelings.
"Oh yes, I am on a roll. They boys just fell all over themselfs for me!" she said, laughing "I guess I am just a love magnet!" she added, dissapointed that he moved away. "So, tell me about this...Citrine?"

He smiled, she was asking about Citrine... this was either a good thing and showed she was jealous... or a bad thing and showed she truly didn't care, that she just wanted to be buddies. His heart tightened and he tried not to visibly gasp for air. Especially with the way that she talked so lightly of being with other males...
"Citrine? Oh, she's very lovely. She has a light tan coat and dark brown markings with the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen. She's very kind too." He stretched and stood up, "Just the type of malu any male would want to start a family with." he flashed her a smile but added silently in his head 'except for me...'

Kayre's heart stopped. He...was in love with Citrine. It was so obvious. A girl could tell. He said she had beautiful eyes..Kayre walked over and looked at her reflection in the water, smiling her most dazzling smile. HER eyes were AMAZING! How could he think that this...Citrine girl's eyes were better then her!! And....start a family wish? She couldn't stand the thought of him having children with any other girl...
"Ohhh she sounds very pretty!" said Kayre, turning back to him, completely hiding her feelings. "Planning something, are we? Have little baby Vul-Vuls running around?" she laughed. "I bet they would all be wonderful" she stole a quick kiss from him. Accually, it was a rather long kiss. "Better keep me away from them when they are older"

He watched her get up and move toward the spring. Standing up he watched her as she seemed to think of something... she was so beautiful... if only she wasn't so fickle. Again he shocked himself out of that kind of thinking.
He was surprised at first that she kissed him, enjoying it as it lingered, he returned it, and missing it when she pulled away, "Haha, maybe. I would like to eventually have some offspring. Someone as beautiful as me should surely pass on the gene! With one as lovely as her, it would do the pup's justice." He forced a coy smile.

Kayre felt herself breakiing inside. She didn't want to be near Vulperomes anymore, it made her feel sick. He wanted to have kids with another Malu. Kayre felt for the first time, hate for her god. It because she worshiped lust that she couldn't let out these feelings. She would be openly denying her god. All her life, she had openly worshiped lust, and enjoyed every secound of it. Now, everything had changed.
"Definetly. Me? I don't think I will ever have children, really. No one could possibly be as wonderful as I am, so why curse them to be uglier then their mother?" she said with a laugh. Of course, Vul-vul would do them justice, but he didn't need to know it. Kayre continued to deny her feelings, and pretended she was in a very good mood.

Never have kids? How could she feel that way... He supposed that meant he could never be with her. He couldn't stand that thought. Standing up, he looked at her for a moment, then away. He couldn't be around her right now.
"I have to go meet with Citrine." He offered as a lame excuse. He figured he wouldn't need to be there for at least another hour, but he couldn't handle these strange feelings anymore. He swallowed and the thin gold chain around his neck bobbed slightly as he turned and paused, "I'll see you later." He called cheerfully, then trotted away.

Kayre smiled "Ohhh! Fun fun! I hope you two have a good time!" she said, giving him a wink. "bye!"
Kayre watched him trop off with a smile on his face. When he was out of site, she turned around, and sobbed.
