I want to be a surgical doctor but it would take me forever and I don't think that I would be able to handle it... I'm a big baby when it comes to people dying. I'm in college now but not sure what I'm going to do with my life so the surgical thing is a maybe.

I absolutely love the medical stuff and I'm learning a lot from Grey's Anatomy too... I always try to put it in my fanfics and I look things up when I'm not sure...
I want to be a surgeon or at least a doctor... I'm only thirteen so you can say I have a long way to go!! I'm in the 3rd grade of highschool (I live in Holland BTW) and I really hope I can do it... I do have a low self esteem... Because everybody says I can do it! For maths I have a 9 (An A, I think in the American school system) for Physics an 8 (B, I think) and for science also a 9 (A)... I'm still not sure though...
Maybe I want to go to America when I finish high school... But I'm quite sure I want to be a surgeon...

GA has really got me into medical things but I've always been queasy around blood and kind of scared of needles but being a doctor interests me but I would never make it as a surgeon

I was really excited during the episode where they severed some guy corpus callosum in his brain to reduce his seizures, and the girl who coudn't sense pain, because we had just finished studying those two thing in my pyschology class. I was like I KNOW WHATS GOING ON. Although I had been taught that if you sever the corpus callosum the person can typically remember everything but they may have trouble percieving items in their left field of vision. I suppose it could happen the way it did in Grey's Anatomy but I was kinda like AHHH THATS NOT RIGHT.
But what do I know? sweatdrop

The girl who couldn't feel pain and thought she was a superhero was very interesting. I find some of the pregnancies interesting... and sad... oh, and the girl who has a testicle and turned out to be a guy. yepyep.

And of course 310 with the siamese twins... In real world, I really don't think that could have been possible to save. All the nerves!

I think it would have been only for the fact that they make sure that its possible before writing it into the script.

But I do think they made those twins' lives look much better than they actually would be in real life...

Hey if you guys are interested in medical/psychological disorders, you should read up on munchausen syndrome. it's incredible sad and interesting... anyway, I figure Greys will do an episode on it sometime soon. It's really something. It would make an awesome episode and wouldn't it be nice to know what they're talking about beforehand?!?! And be able to diagnose it?!?!

I got season 1 for christmas, and I've been going over the possibility of being a doctor.. for one, I don't get grossed out whenever they show the surgery parts on the show- I was watching with my sister, and she always had to turn away in the surgeries. sweatdrop I'll often eat while watching the show.. it just doesn't bother me. I don't, however, like getting shots and I don't know how I could deal with needles and stuff. Dissecting in 6th grade (it's been three years since then) I couldn't make the first cut but I could manage after that, so I really don't know how I'd do in a surgery. But there are lots of other things I want to be that could fill the place of Kaerfz, chief of surgery.. 3nodding

While I am staring at thr screen and trying to pack all the info into my head. Surgery is truly amazing. At the doctor's office my doctor actually taught me how to insert an IV I put one into my sister's arm she was getting chelation because she had toxic metals in her system and I got to hook up the IV it was so fun!! my sister actually said I did it right and it didn't hurt. score one for me! lol
