Okay, another one of Neko's pet peeves.
You absolutely don't diss a holiday or belief of a person just because you don't like it or don't believe in it. I enjoy Thanksgiving because I get to eat my mom's holiday meal, [very good] spend time with my family [all of us are so busy, we usually only see each other for any decent amount of time on weekends and even then my parents are working sometimes. ] and just overall relax. If you don't like or believe in Thanksgiving then you could have just skipped over this thread and kept your mouth shut. Thank you very much.

"Boring" and "pointless" are both relative, not absolute. What may be boring and pointless to one person may not be boring and pointless to another.
I personally don't like holidays that much, either, to tell the truth. I don't have very happy and healthy relationships with most of my family, and I'm really not interested in giving or receiving gifts. But please, at least be courteous to others who do respect those holidays.
