I was wondering if anybody else is playing/has played this song? Right now I've got it in band, and its a monster!
If you have it, come on by. If you want to listen to it, you can Wikipedia it. (Honestly, it works. Its by Alfred Reed.)

We played it last year for concert. Freshmen year, I played it for marching. It's not too terrible after you play it about a billion times.
Just takes time.

I liked it. I wasn't too much of a good player two years ago (or maybe there are just too many prodigies around here -_-' like serious prodigies).
I think it helped my playing a lot. I've never had a private teacher so I depend on pieces to help me improve. I never thought of it as insane though o.o ...probably cuz the prodigies made it look too easy -_-

Ehh...I'm not much of a prodigy, but my band director says that I have the mouth shape to play pretty much any brass instrument...so in my case it's all just based on the gene pool... sweatdrop But yeah, it's definitely a tune to improve with.

Yeah. I'm really glad there are so many prodigies in our school cuz our band director gives us harder pieces that help me improve. It's still hard to believe that I'm in the highest band though. too many good players scream

We sight read through that just a couple days ago! More than anything, it's long! And it was the unwaterd version.

Dude, we're playing that too. It's not bad. I play oboe, so I have the schmexy english horn solo, too =] It's quite fabulous.
Although I like Reed's Armenian Dances better.
