Blood rolled down a snow white muzzle as the red maned wolf lifted his head from the rabbit he'd been eating for the past few minutes. It wasn't often that he got to eat so little, normally he could take down a water buffalo or something larger than that, but recently he'd been out of it, off his game.
There was something that Akamichi needed, something that he didn't have and wanted. Until that time he was going to be off his game quite a bit. But that was to be expected, since he'd seen and harbored so many and had them come and go.
Slurping up the last parts of the rabbit that were edible he dug his paws into the ground to bury it under the ground where it's remains wouldn't be desacrated. That irritated him when vultures and such picked at the dead, scavengers had to eat too he understood this but it was just a cruel thought to him.
Sighing as he patted back down the earth, Akamichi turned to trot back tiredly towards his den where Isis was probably running around like a lunatic. ninja

 This is not happening, no this could not be happening, not to me. The thought raced across her mind as the black and green ran in circles. This is all just a dream, a terrible, terrible dream. She knew that it wasn't the flesh of the nightmare was infront of her, a little pup with cyan, or sea green as some would call it fur.
Siria'Chunuka's breath was harsh and shallow as she finally stopped running long enough to stare at her young daughter. God why have you done this to me? Siria asked herself silently not daring to say it out loud, not to her child. The adult maned wolf knew why though, because she had run away when she should have just stayed, yeah thats what happened he didn't like that she had run, who ever was in charge of that stuff.
"Come." Was all she said to the wide-eyed pup before walking off and heading to the supply of water ignoring the male that was not far off as she walked"Yes momma." The young maned wolf said to her mother when the older one finally calmed down long enough to stand still for more than a few seconds. Every time the green and black maned wolf and woken and saw her she would do it but Shaira'Lejali never complained, she liked the warmth of her mother beside her and was amused by her mothers actions.

Two toned eyes flashed in amuzement as his eyes blinked slightly and he sniffed towards the rather insane looking black and green female. There was something about the way she was acting that let him know she wasn't entirely there.
However, that wasn't Akamichi's problem or his business. Curling his red and white tail over his back, Aka trotted up to the watering hole and dipped his blood soaked muzzle into the water.
Within moments Isis was on his shoulders and squealing brightly about everything that she'd seen all day long. Of course Akamichi wasn't entirely paying attention to her, but then she didn't necisarily need to know that. It was what kept Aka saner than normal.

Lapping up water, shakily she ended up falling into the water with the others squeal. Orange eyes narrowed teeth clenched the female pulled herself out of the water grudgingly. Her stare at the other was like daggers but she said nothing as she shook the heavy water from her pelt. Her daughter came up to nuzzle her but she pushed her away, gently and the expression on the little ones face was a sad one.
Turning to face the one that had caused her surpise and to fall into the other she mearly watched them saying nothing for had she something to say the words would not form
Lejali's ears were flattened against her head as she looked up at her mother with sad eye. Nothing could be done, she was in one of her strange mood, she couldn't understand why though.

"Don't look at me, little one." Akamichi said to the black and green female as Isis kept chattering in his ear relentlessly. He would have tied the little meerkat's muzzle shut, but he figured that was just wrong.
"Heeeeyyy!!! You fell into the water! Was it wet? Was it cold? Did you enjoy it?" Isis rambled at the speed of light, all her words tying together as she did so. "I once fell into the watering hole, it was cold and I almost got eaten by a crocodile before Aka pulled me out by my tail and dried me off, he wasn't very happy but that crocodile looked like fun until it wanted to eat me."
Closing his two-toned eyes irritatedly, Akamichi shook his head and sighed gently, irritated that he had to put up with this probably as much as the other female was.

"I'll look at you however I want." Siria replied not caring if it had been directed at her or at her daughter. This was not a good time to anger the maned wolf but this one and his friend seemed to be pushing her buttons.
"What do you think you little rat? Of course it was cold and wet and NO I did NOT enjoy it!" The black and green maned wolf was almost shouting, extremely unhappy with the events that had just taken place.
"Mommy, please calm down, please" The young maned wolf whispered quietly as if afraid to say any more than that, this was most most angry and insane she had ever seen her mother as.

"I'd watch that black tongue of yours if you wanted to keep it." Akamichi snarled instantly, putting himself between Isis and the large female and her pup. Both of his two toned eyes narrowed sharply and his muzzle pulled back.
He didn't need anyone coming to his watering hole and insulting him or his charge, let alone threataning one of them. There was only so much the large maned wolf was willing to put up with.
Isis froze as Aka walked in front of her, her black and white body slowly shrinking down into the ground from fear. Her large 'father' didn't snarl like that unless she or one of the other charges he'd taken on had been suspected on his part of being in trouble. Never once had Akamichi been wrong either, so instantly she became a mute and became one with his fur.

Having come out of pregancy only weeks ago and still not fully aware of what happened that fateful day. "Really, because I don't feel like it but maybe you'd like to watch your own. Then again what can you really do? You wouldn't leave a young pup without her mother would you?"
Only then did the mentally unstable maned wolf glance at her daughter having ignored her words previously, she was pissed off and nothing would change that. Siria was more than ready for a fight after the dreams she had she needed to express her anger some way.
Lejali bit down on her lip before looking at the stranger with pleading eyes. "Mommy has just been having a hard time dealing with some things, please excuse her behavior."

"She wouldn't be alone, there are far more sane females to raise a daughter without her having to deal with the pain and anguish of having such a screw up for a mother." Aka said to the larger black and green female with a scowl before casting a glance down to the smaller female at her side.
If there was one thing that Akamichi believed it was that pups should be raised with a stable environment. He didn't believe that this girl should be raised by a mother like hers, but it wasn't his place to take a pup from a mother.
A sigh floated from his white muzzle and he shook his head gently. "I take pitty on you little one. If you ever need help in your life then come and find me, I'll help you as much as you need." Aka told her slowly, nodding his head before turning back to lap at the water in his watering hole again.

"You may think of me as a screw-up but atleast I haven't abandoned the daughter that needs me unlike someone I know of...." At her final words the females muscles tensed and her teeth clenched. The female could never quite forgive her mother for what she had done and even just the memory of her mother.
Glancing back and forth from her mother and the male she whispered "May I talk to you for a minute, alone please?" Her words were slightly shaky as she hoped that he had heard her.

Aka looked down at the pup out of one blue eye softly and blinked before nodding. She seemed so small compared to him, mostly because she was.
Call it a soft heart but that was how it rolled with him. Part of why he had so many 'children' running around through the savannah he supposed. Aka had aquired quite a few of those over the years, he did have Isis after all.
"Speak all you want little one, your mother is lost in her own thoughts." Aka said under his breath to the little black and teal female before him.

"Please do forgive my mother sir, but she has been going through alot lately, afraid of becoming her mother when it appears she is already following down the pathway." The little maned wolf told the male softly not wanting her mother to overhear. "She just needs a bit of help, please ignore her rudeness, she just needs some time."

Two toned eyes flashed for a moment before Aka licked the top of the pups head. He felt sorry for her, he really did. She felt she had to speak up for her mother when it was obvious her mother didn't care enough about her to say the same.
"Okay.. but I'll only forgive her for you."

Lejali gave the older male maned wolf a smile. "Thank you for understanding....My mother has gone through so much abandonment already I do not think she could stand to go through anymore." Her golden colored eyes cast down at the ground as her body shivered slightly. "Perhaps you could calm her and snap her out of her insanity?"

Narrowing his eyes at the pup for a moment, Akamichi pondered her words and came up with only one reason that she would say 'calm' but as a male he was probably thinking on it wrong. "You wish for her to be calmed?" A soft quirk to his muzzle seemed to mar the red male's muzzle for a moment and he fixed his two-toned gaze on both mother and daughter carefully. He wasn't sure how to calm a female who's own daughter seemed incapable of the same wish. How could he calm her if her blood couldn't?
