Katavi stepped down wrong on her hurt paw, wincing as it seeped into the mud. She pulled it out in disgust, and continued trekking through the wet, soft soil. Rain spilled from the darkening skies, only illuminated by a clash of lightning every now and again.
The lioness whirled her head around, looking desperately for shelter. All she could see was savannah grass in the distance, being whipped to and fro in the wind. What now?, she thought, growling under her breath as her ankles seeped deeper into the mud.

A leopard was grooming herself in the distance, she was laying in a big tree taking shelter from the rain. Other hudge tree, bushes and stones where covering the area so it was a good area to seek shelter at specially when it rained like this. She licked her white and purple fur while looking out over the kind off greyish land..
It was so calm and it smelled so good everything felt so refreshing when it rained it was just great.

Katavi's tail lashed angrily back and forth as once again she pulled herself out of the mud, and began limping toward the grey horizon. She stopped suddenly, narrowing her eyes to see into the fog. In the distance, she could make out the frame of a tree, shadowy against the dark sky.
A grin krept across her lips as she waded forward. Soon, the sensation of icy cold rain splattering over her soft black fur vanished, as she ran under the low hanging tree. Katavi gave a hiss of delight, and began to lick her wet fur. As she reached for her injured paw, her blue eyes caught a figure above her. She pulled away from the tree, alarmed.
"Who's there?", she demanded weakly, tired from her travel.

Keilantra turned her ears infront and listend huh? someone was comming? poor creature was probably all wet and cold she was lucky she got away from the rain before it started to rain as heavily. She streched out her front legs on the big tree branch and then find a better position to lay in, she wagger her tail from side to side and tried to spot the creature that was comming closer with her blue eyes..
Then she heard a voice calling out " Hallo there! " she said back and smiled and waited for the female apparently to come closer.

Katavi jumped back. She narrowed her eyes at the cheery creature looking down at her from a tree branch. She relaxed her raised fur, noticing that the leopard seemed to be smiling. Friendly?, Katavi pondered, still suspicious.
"Hello, yourself", Katavi muttered, stepping nervously back under the tree branches, taking shelter from the rain.
"I guess we're both using this shelter", Katavi said, challenging the leopard to disagree with narrowed eyes. She could keep walking no longer. She decided that if she had to fight to stay out the rain, then that's what she'd do.

The leopard continued to watch the lioness she looked cold poor creature she was just lucky that she got out off the rain just in time so she hadn't gotten and cool water on her. Sure it was nice feeling cooler sometimes but to much water was just to much...
" I see that you didn't make it in time before the sky opend itself "
She changed her position closer the lion, it was nice to maybe have someone to talk to for a little while..
" Yes we are...so you are far from here "

Katavi snorted. "Clearly I didn't." She offered a weak smile in return, and turned back to licking the icy water out of her silky black fur.
The lioness paused, giving her wet paw a rest. "I come from a place far from here, yes", she turned her blue eyes away from the leopard, tucking the injured paw towards her. She hoped the leopard would not see her weakness and find it an ideal time to attack. Katavi didn't want a fight.. not today.
"I come from the Umandes", she said, pausing, "but in spirit, I am a rogue."

The female leopard smiled again and watched the lioness with her iceblue eyes, hm was there something wrong with her paw? that didn't look good at all but Kei decided she should remain silent for now she was sure the lioness didn't really wanted to be botherd right now...
" Ok that place i never heard off even if i am traveling around a little here and a little there "
Keilantra was also a rouge but that was very normal for a leopard but this female actually missed the special bounds that lions had with eachother within a pack maybe she should have been born a lioness instead but this was how the gods made her a leopard...but she liked that too leopards was just as good as lions and any other animal on this earth..

"A traveller, eh?", Katavi turned her eyes slowly to the leopard.
Maybe they weren't so different after all, she considered. Besides, of course, species, social, personality, and birth differences. They were both wanderers, looking for something better in the world. Still, the leopard's cheery attitude on this dreary day made Katavi hesitant about her mental awareness. How could one possibly smile at the face of danger, at the face of Katavi?
She pulled her head away again and looked longingly out towards the distant savannah, bathed in silver droplets of rain.
"You've never heard of the Umandes? The Mistweavers?", she suddenly replied, still gazing on. "How can't you know?", she asked again, growing frustrated.

" yes i can't do much more for now we leopards don't have packs to return to we are loners...it's sad actually i would love to have a pack "
She smiled and blinked 3 times and looked up at the grey clouds it was still raining and it would probably go on for sometime. Maybe she could join a pack someday herself then she didn't have to be so lonley anymore..but this female didn't seem to like her at all maybe it was because she was a leopard after all.
" Ah no never...i don't move to close to the prides actually and i guess i don't talk to that many lions "

Katavi nodded, acknowledging the leopard, but still not turning her attention fully towards her. It was going to be a long night, and she'd rather be lost in her thoughts and alone than be in the presence of company. A gust of chilly wind ripped in her direction and whirled through her silky black fur, pulling her out of her daydreaming to realize that the leopard was still speaking.
Her blue eyes fell on the talkative female, and an unexpected grin formed across her maw.
"Prides are great at times," she softly said, "but I've found that the solitary life is better for me, atleast until I can find out where exactly it is I have to go." Her mind raced back to Kip, a dreadful reminder that she was barely alone nowadays, even as a rogue.

The leopard sighed maybe she would leave the lioness alone she seemed all tired and cold anyways maybe they both needed some sleep. Kei knew she would wander until she found her home just like this female would. She smiled she just wished everyone luck all living deserved it.
Ok there was actually just one creature she couldn't stand and that was her twin sister but that just made her mad thinking of that so she never did these days. She smirked and her tail switched then she pushed those toughts back into her head.
" Oh well you don't have to continue to talk to me i leave you alone ok but i wish you goodluck ok <3 "

Katavi smiled, a rare gift she usually avoided handing out. She had noticed a streak of blue form in the horizon, a sign that the rains would come to a stop at some point tonight. With that, she could continue her journey to whatever fate held for her. She smirked, thinking of how she had made it thus far by toying with karma.
Turning back to the leopard, her eyes glittered in thanks for allowing her to spend the night beneath her tree without a fight.
"Good luck," she tossed the words over her shoulder before turning her eyes back to the blue streaks breaking through the sky.

Oh she was already leaving? oh she had her life and journey to continue and she her her own. She smiled and waved one of her paws after the lioness she didn't meet that many females these days but she was just happy that lions wanted to talk to her <3 that made her happy..
She yawned maybe it was time to get some sleep she guessed the rain would stop since the other female was leaving. She winked towards the female when she said goodluck as well..
" I will~~ "
She watched her walking away until she couldn't see her any longer and with that she layed her head down on the branch and closed her eyes..
