Welcome to Ookami_kinrei_chan's quest for a Shadow's of Africa God of Prey, " Mwindwa'Twig ". "Ah... so, what exactly are you questing for, Kinrei?" I'm questing for a SoA, 'Shadows of Africa', Lion God. SoA is an awesome "Breedable/Changing Pet" store in Gaia. I really wish to be able to roleplay 'The God of Prey', 'Mwindwa'. Mwindwa is based on 'Twig', an original character of mine. To have a SoA God based on Twig would be a dream come true. Not to mention that there would be some awesome plottage to follow! xD "Alrighty, then! But... exactly how much gold do you need?" Three words. One. Million. K. xD;;
Yes, this is a seemingly impossible quest, but I'm happy to cut down on my Gaia item/art needs and spend the rest of the year saving up for Mwindwa. <3 Every gold piece will add towards my quest. I'm taking care of the gold my own way, though, so it's all fine! xD <3 Wish me luck!

However, I don't expect people to just walk into my thread and shove one million k in my lap, and casually walk off. xD So, yes, don't worry about that! xD There's something else I'd love... comments, well-wishers, and plottage! ^w^ If you have any plot ideas that I can involve Mwindwa into, that would be -awesome-. ;w; Roleplaying is my passion, especially now that I'm getting into SoA. Plot ideas are just... loved. xD

I must be cursed... with no feathers on my wings, and a filthy title... what have I to live for?
Name: ' Mwindwa'twig '
Name Translation: Mwindwa translates to 'prey' in Swahili. 'Twig', on the other hand, is the name of an OC I have, and also means 'The end subdivision of a branch, which marks the current year's growth.'
God of: Prey animals, especially of the hooved variety. Mwindwa is the so-called 'Guardian' of the souls of the animals that are devoured by lions, leopards, wild dogs and other predators. He's not doing his job well, though... he prefers to treat the prey animals as slaves, even if it is his job to serve them.
Appearance:
Mwindwa has a goatee! cool
Mwindwa'twig's Personality:
Mwindwa lives in solitude. He has no companions, nobody close to him, and thus he has not learned to 'love'. Mwindwa starts out as hardly a threat to anyone, and is shunned because of his pathetic godly title. A 'God of Prey' is hardly a god at all, many agree, and so Mwindwa is looked down upon, and the feathers from his pathetically small wings are stripped from his back until they are but small, bloody stumps.
As a result, Mwindwa becomes very withdrawn... lonely, cold and filled with self-hatred. He loathes who he is, his title, his appearance. He longs for acceptance, a light, a friend. But nobody is there for him. Nobody is there for he who protects mere prey. For he, who is a hybrid of prey and predator. Disgusting.
However, Mwindwa's withdrawn, unsociable personality soon changes as he meets a mortal, a seer lion. She tells him about who he was before he became a god, and Twig learns from her of a way to escape his torturous lifestyle, and become a normal lion once more.
To get that life back, Mwindwa becomes desperate, and his heart soon becomes twisted. He realises that he can use his godly title to his advantage... and steps to earth, determined to find prey animals and disillusion them, make them his, and capture the ones whom hold the secret to breaking his curse.
His personality takes an unexpected twist... he becomes a 'bad boy', a rebel, arrogant, and acts a complete 'jerk' to all those around him. He becomes a user. He will not save others without an ulterior motive. His wings sprout feathers once more. Though Mwindwa grows more confident with himself, his heart also becomes more twisted.
Of course, Mwindwa still yearns for love and acceptance, but his heart and mind are slowly being corrupted by his newly-found mentor, the seer...
Can he rescued? Saved? Loved? Taught the ways of the mortal?
Only time will tell.
How Mwindwa'twig was born:
Mwindwa was born from the sins of other predators, and the screams of both predator and prey. He was born from the cries of dying prey, and born from the sadistic screams of delight from the predators that had killed them. These screams soon took shape into a form, and that was how Mwindwa'twig came to existence. However, Mwindwa, although he did not commit any of these crimes, nor slay any prey animal, was burdened with mixed memories of another lion... one who had caused the slaughter of a herd of klipspringers, years before.
These memories are the key to Mwindwa's freedom, and soon Mwindwa comes to think of himself as that lion. He starts to believe he is the lion who's memories he holds. But is he, really? And what is this... other consiousness, inside him?...
Sometimes, it feels like it wants to take control of him...
Mwindwa facts:
• Mwindwa cannot eat the meat or drink the blood of prey animals. If he does, he will often feel nauseous, and will vomit, often becoming extremely sick. As sick as he does get, he cannot actually die from eating prey.
• Mwindwa is after the first-born male fawns of a certain Klipspringer, Chachili, as she is blood-related to the one that destroyed him (or the lion who's memories he holds) in his past life as a mortal. These fawns, the seer has prompted him, are the key to unlocking his freedom. He must have them for himself! After all, they are klipspringers, and prey animals. By right, they are his, and his alone.
• Mwindwa, unlike a few other gods and goddesses, wishes to be free from the burden of being a god.
• In order to find the fawns, Mwindwa wants to find slaves, so that in return for 'protection', they must do all in their power to give him Chachili's little ones. If only they can find her fawns, that is.
• Mwindwa hates mortals with a passion. He thinks they are dirty, and will not even allow them to speak to him without his permission. Of course, he wishes to become a mortal himself. His jealousy of the mortal beings drives his anger. He could never truly love a mortal.
• Mwindwa aims to try and manipulate all those he can, and to build up a group of animals to help him find the fawns.
• He may have a twisted heart and mind, but Mwindwa hates all forms of death. He will not kill. He hates looking at death, as it makes him upset. He prefers taking slaves, or just scaring others, to killing. This can sometimes make him an easily manipulated lion, as those who know this secret do not have to fear for their lives. However, Mwindwa still takes hostages.
• Mwindwa, of course, may get tricked by Chachili's second litter! Chachili has four children (two boy twins, and two girl twins). The twins Mwindwa is after are Makuu and Kukuru, the boy twins, and the product of Chachili's first litter. However, Chachili seems to 'trick' him with her second litter, Mkimya and Pura (girl twins). Which is which?...
I have been reborn, anew! And the fawns, I must find...

I am a full supporter of Lord Mwindwa, and I will do all in my power to appease him.
Name: ' Kibaraka '
Name Translation: According to the Kamusi Project Swahili Dictionary, 'Kibaraka' translates to 'puppet', 'lackey', 'henchman', 'lackey' and 'villian'. These are all terms that describe the kniving hare well.
Species: Kibaraka is an adult male hare.
Appearance:
Kibaraka's Personality:
Kibaraka serves his Lord well. He is Mwindwa's perfect little footman, a servant who tends to his every needs. He is also an intelligent hare in the midst of battle, and a strong 'soldier' for his species. He loves battles, loves taking care of his beloved Lord, and loves being in control of situations.
Kibaraka is not exceptionally cruel... he is just a puppet that Mwindwa has taken to controling. He realises that Mwindwa is the God of Prey, and so believes that Mwindwa has perfect right over owning him.
And so the hare serves the Lord, fights in the name of Mwindwa, and is soon enough rewarded for his loyalty... the God promises Kibaraka a future 'Battalion' of his own, if Mwindwa ever collects enough members to help him seek out the fawns.
Kibaraka's mind is set on reaching these distant goals... he wishes to become a Lieutenant Colonel of the 1st ever Mwinda'Twig Battalion, and, in the name of Mwindwa'Twig, capture the fawns his master craves to have.
Kibaraka facts:
• Kibaraka is in no way 'cruel'. He is a soldier, and does not mind spilling blood over a battle, but he shares his Lord's moral... he dislikes killing, and prefers to merely wound his opponents, or take prisoners. He is a merciful beast, however, and off the battle field does not mind a good laugh.
• Kibaraka is an expert chef. cool He loves whipping up interesting vegetarian dishes for Mwindwa (which is just as well, since Mwindwa cannot eat meat). He is actually a 'browser', and goes out a lot to collect fresh grasses, flowers, herbs and leaves from shrubs. It is at this time (when Kibaraka is collecting food) that the hare usually meets new faces. Here, he can socialise with other creatures that are not connected in any way with Mwindwa'Twig.
• He's a nice guy, all in all... he's just a little obsessed about the whole, 'OMG Mwindwa' is a god!' business. ^^'' He has a good streak if you know him just as 'Kibaraka', but harbors a more fearful side if you know him as 'Mwindwa's First Soldier'.
• Despite his extreme loyalty to his Lord and Master, Kibaraka believes in a family life outside the battlefield. He does not want to draw any family (that he may have in the future) into the battlefield. However, if he does have family, he will still remain one of Mwindwa's soldiers, and disappear every once and a while to carry out his duties for the God.

The mother of the two fawns that Mwindwa desires to capture. The God has memories of this klipspringer mother from one of his previous lives. These memories he harbors convince him that Chachili's bloodline is the key to his freedom. Chachili herself is an ignorant, headstrong and bossy adult klipspringer. She is a seer, and so is somehow connected with the God through a kind of telepathy. Chachili leaves her fawns with Chiboa, and pretends she never gave birth to them. She simply wants to protect them...
 Makuu: - Played by Spottedleef
Chachili's eldest son. He is one of the fawns that Mwindwa' craves so much to have. Makuu, along with his younger brother, does not have many memories of his mother, as he and Kukuru were given to Chiboa to look after when they were very young. They are currently being taught to live like wild dogs. This is a plan of Chachili's... if Chiboa would teach them how to become 'wild dogs', they would not be judged as 'prey' anymore... and the 'God of Prey' could not claim them as his own 'property'. But... will this plan work?...
 Kukuru- Played by Ookami_Kinrei_chan
The younger of Chachili's fawns. Kukuru is the second fawn that Mwindwa' is after. Kukuru is quiet and often overlooked, and usually hides behind his brother if threatened, as Makuu is much bolder than him. Kukuru, like his brother, has hardly any memories of his mother at all... although he does vaguely remember a few things... the 'High Grass', his mother's home, and a spotted wild dog that used to hang around his mother when he was younger... Kukuru, despite his appearance, believes that he is a wild dog with all his heart.
 Chiboa- Played by Spottedleef
Chachili needs someone. Someone who can take her fawns, someone that she knows is not 'savage', but someone who is an 'Outsider'. Chiboa is such a person. Chachili learnt of his personality during a failed 'rescue' attempt at the Hyena Graveyard. She has met him before, but she is not yet classified as his 'friend'. They are not affiliated with eachother. Chiboa has no obvious connection to Chachili. For this reason, Chachili asks Chiboa a question of importance.
"Will you please look after my fawns, and teach them to live like wild dogs?..."
 Pura- Played by Taejira
Chachili's eldest daughter, and the twin of Mkimya. Chachili had Pura and Mkimya as replacements for her other two lost twins. Pura is the eldest of the two female twins, and Pura has no idea that she has two older brothers.

 Mkimya- Played by Seaki
The youngest of Chachili's family, and the twin of Pura. Chachili had Pura and Mkimya as replacements for her other two lost twins. Mkimya is the youngest of the two female twins, and Mkimya has no idea that she has two older brothers.

Thankyou so much! No, I mean, really, thankyou so very, very much! Whether you have just clicked upon this thread and read my ideas for Mwindwa, have donated, or just posted a hearty 'Goodluck, Kinrei!'... I can't tell you how much I really apprechiate it.
This quest for Mwindwa is my first attempt at an 'impossible' quest. For those that helped out with my 'Kiva' quest, I can't thank you enough for that, as well. You started it all. I love you!
Now that I have the gold for my beloved OC Kiva, I can work on the Big Papa of all my Quests... the quest for a SoA God, the quest for my angsty little 'Mwindwa'. As a SoA character. A god. It makes me shiver just thinking about it. ^^
So all I can say is 'Thankyou'. Thankyou for coming. Thankyou for wishing me well. Thanks for cheering me on with kind words, bumps, links or donations! You're the reason I come to Gaia.

Lightning Shadow X is questing for three awesome SoA here. x3 The character designs are really pretty, and I love the referance pictures. The story at the start really explains a lot, and you come to see that this is more than just a quest for a SoA... this quest has a lot more meaning to it than really meets the eye. ^^-
