 Peter was more that a little reluctant to be going to to hospital again. True, with having had heart-surgery, he had to come in for re-evaluations on a fairly regular basis. Also true that he was a doctor himself, and understood the necessity. That didn't mean, however, that he had to LIKE it.
He was the one to drive to the place - with much internal whining. Nothing verbal. He wouldn't let Jin see him like that.
He and Jin were considering getting a place together now, but there were things that had to be attended to before plans on that could move forward. For example, physicals for both of them, and clean bills of health. Peter was going to examine Jin after he left this place - whether the kitten liked it, or not.
"Jin, YOU'RE not the one who's getting re-evaluated. Why are you squirming about so much?"

Jin jumped then flashed Peter a sheepish smile. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize I was," he mumbled, looking down and toying with the zipper of the black hoodie he had donned that morning. "I guess I'm just nervous. And I know you hate this, even though you're not vocal about it. Your eyes say it for you." He sighed and then lifted his gaze, directing it at his love.

The hybrid shrugged a bit. "Whether I like it or not, it has to be done. It's not exactly like I can forgo an examination just because I feel like it. I'm enough of a doctor to know THAT." He laughed a bit. "Besides, it goes along with having major surgery like I did. If not, there could be complications late down the road, and they'd never catch them. Complications that could very well kill me. And I LIKE my life, thanks. Especially now that YOU'RE in it." He grinned, and winked. "Of course, I DID also sign you up for an exam. But it's not until after mine, and because I'm on-call today, I SHOULD be able to perform the exam myself, so that you won't be scared. If that doesn't work out, though - I'll take a look at you at home. Speaking of home.." he paused while he turned another corner, then stopped at a red light. "I heard back from the agent. She says she found a nice-sized place. About three acres of land, give or take. The house is a four-bedroom, but we can easily convert it. Plus, I can afford the place on my salary. But the move-in deadline is over after the end of the month, so we have to decide if we want the place or not."

"I wasn't questioning your professional opinion, doctor. I was just saying that I know you don't like it and it bothers me, ok?" Jin rolled his eyes and turned to look out the window, his ears twitching. At the mention of an exam, the little white ears swivelled back toward Peter and then Jin's face followed suit, his wide green eyes glaring at the wolf. "You what!? Peter you know I hate checkups!" Before he could get really heated, though, Peter sprung the house on him, causing the fiery little feline to go out in a puff of smoke. "A house? Carla found us a house?" He squealed like a girl but checked himself before he jumped on his love and started kissing him. "I'd like to see it but I'm definitely thinking the answer will be 'yes'." ^^

"Yes, Carla found us a house." He laughed, and fended off the barrage. "DRIVING! DRIVING, JIN!" He swerved a bit, then got back onto the road. They were halfway to the hospital by now. "You know, you get excited over the strangest things, love?" He chuckled again, and yawned, eyes on the road. "And yes, you ARE getting an exam. From me. Don't worry - it'll be painless." He thought for a moment more before speaking again. "As to the house. Se might be able to get us an extension if we need it. To move in, mind. She can't afford to give us an extension to decide."

Jin flopped back in his seat with a pout. "I do not get excited about the strangest things. The things I get excited about are perfectly normal to get excited about," he sniped, folding his arms across his chest. Skipping over the subject of an exam, the feline continued instead with their finding a house. "And there won't be any need for an extension. I just wanna see it once. It won't take very long for you to get a yea or nay out of me."
