"Mama, lookit! Mama lookit!"
A young girl giggled gleefully as she ran across the emerald grass, pale brown curls whipping around her head and a brilliant purple flower held in one small hand. She wore a pair of jeans, a crimson T-shirt and rather ordinary sneakers, though her eyes appeared to be a very strange shade of red. Blonde Yvette galloped after her, dressed in a similar outfit, though her T-shirt was the same green as her eyes and vine-shaped arm tattoos. Both girls appeared quite pleased with themselves, speeding toward a pair of young women sitting on a park bench.
Or rather, one sitting on the seat. The other perched on the back of the bench with her booted feet propped on the wooden slats.
"What is it, Ayumi?" The teen actually sitting looked up and smiled, raven tresses of her own falling across a delicate, high-boned face. Her eyes were palest green, bright with a warm, affectionate smile. Beside her, Yvette's mother Rune grinned widely, olive green eyes dancing beneath a mop of dark blue curls. "Now that's a nice flower, Aya."

Sanrio strolled quietly down the path looking for an unoccupied bench. She wanted Ronin to be able to expirience life away from the Sin'aeis mansion. She kicked at a stone in her path and adjusted the figity panda boy in her arms.
Ronin flailed about. He really wanted down. And his hood off. He shook his head and flapped his arms more.
"Ronin hush!" Sanrio said removing the blonde boy's panda hood. "There, better now."
Ronin gave a small smile but continued to flail his arms.
Sanrio spotted the occupied bench and decided it would have to work until Ronin became less motivated. She sat at the far end placing Ronin in the grass in front of her along with also giving a weak but friendly smile to the bench's inhabitants.

Rune grinned, distracted from her 'niece' and daughter's happy babbling explanations of the flower by Sanrio and Ronin's arrival. "Hello." She smiled in return. "He's adorable. What's his name?"
"OOOoooo, a baby!" Yvette glanced in the other direction and clapped her hands with glee. "Aya, look, it's a little baby! He's so cute. And he's got a panda hood!"
"He is cute." Her friend agreed, suddenly shy as she peered from beneath thick bangs.

Sanrio smiled back and held out a hand in hopes for a friendly handshake.
"I am Sanrio and this is Ronin." She said pointing with her other hand to the panda boy. "He would thank you for the compliment if he could talk."
Ronin sat in the grass patting it and looking up at the little blonde girl. There was also something about her that really excited him. So he quickly went from sitting to a fast crawl, the tail on his panda suit wagging the whole way, and sat between Yvette's feet. He looked up at her and smiled widely.
"Ieeee!" He cried excitedly holding his arms up in a "pick me up" way.

Rune grinned, taking the offered hand with a cheerful nod. "Rune, Rune Traverse." She motioned toward the little blonde. "That's my daughter Yvette - "
"Evie for shorts." The little girl interrupted with a gleeful squeak. Peeking down at Ronin, she crouched, looking almost regretful. "I can't pick you up, han-some Ronin. I'm too little, we'd fall over and go boom!" She demonstrated with a wild handswing, though carefully clear of the smaller child's face so she didn't hit him. "Maybe Ayumi could - Aya?"
"I might drop him too." Wide eyes peered from under thick bangs, flicking upward anxiously, and Rune laughed, ruffling the child's hair. "This is Ayumi, my niece. And Ren - " She paused and smirked. "Hey, Ren, your hair did it again."
"My what?" Her companion - quite pleased and entranced by baby Ronin - blinked and tugged forward a thick lock of curls, making a face. "Aw, man. That's the last time I let your kids play with magic in my bathroom."
The waterfall of glossy black lightened to a walnut brown, and Rune grinned, shaking her head. "This is Ren." Flicking another amused glance at her 'sister,' she added, "and hey, at least it was close. Last time, Dray ended up with bright purple."

Sanrio smiled broad. "Well it is very nice to meet you all." She looked at Ronin, the infant staring wide-eyed at Yvette, and shook her head.
"You do not need picked up."
Ronin stared wide-eyed at Yvette. She was hysterical falling back like that. He mimiced her. Flailing his black arms and falling right down next to her giggling. "Wheee!" He cried excited.
Sanrio's smile went from happy to curious as she watched Ren's hair change color. "Magic? You do that?" She asked puzzled.

"We both do." Ren grinned, then flicked an affectionately exasperated glance at her companion. "And Dray is an anthromorphic dragon with wings and a tail. Not to mention tattoos. Who's gonna notice her hair color? Have you seen the way she cuts it?"
Rune looked amused. "She is my daughter, Ren." The blue-maned teenager reminded with a smirk. "Yes, I know the way she cuts it. It STILL looked stranger."
"Dray wif PURPLE hair?" Ayumi paused, apparently entranced by this vivid mental image. Rune snorted with laughter. "Only for a while, sweetie. We sorted it out." She grinned back at Sanrio. "Dray's my eldest daughter. Her hair's usually dark red. And yeah, we're mages. Most of the family is."
Yvette clapped her hands, giggling with glee. "Ronin is a SMART baby." She informed the world at large, tickling the little boy's stomach. "He's a happy smart baby." Eyeing the child for a minute, the blonde little girl nodded firmly. "He'll be my Ronin. Just like Jani is my Jani, and Chloe is my Chloe, and Flitch and Cameo are my Flitch and Cameo."
(*snicker* As a sidenote, Evie 'collects' people she considers hers. Of the Sin, she's "claimed" Flitch, Jan, and Cameo. Chloe's her older sister, Jan's best friend.)

"That is pretty cool." Sanrio said. She thought real hard afterward. "I can change my appearance." She said looking to the sky. "My clan doesn't call it magic though. I am an elf by heart." She pulled at her human shapped ears. She did not change though. "It is a disguise so I fit in the human enviornment." She paused. "I am a priestess. I practice with archery and talismans. Kind of like a... oh what are people like Priestess called here?" Sanrio thought putting a finger on her bottom lip.
Ronin laughed hysterically as Yvette tickled him. He rolled over away from the girl's tickly hands and sat up. He clapped his hands like the blonde girl did. This game of copycat was fun.
