I have to agree with Atheriel. Piers Anthony is an amazing author. There is an intelligence to his work that just sucks you in, and then you are held by the originality.

For more lighthearted fare I tend towards British author Terry Pratchett. His Discworld books have long been a favorite of mine, and I now find myself being slowly drawn into the world of 'Wee Free Men'. Pratchett's work is imbued with a humor all their own and are engaging enough that I find myself visiting again and again.

Finally, let's not forget one of my all time favorite authors. I speak of the creator of such fair as I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream, Mephisto in Onyx, and one of my personal favorites, "Repent, Harlequin!"Said the Ticktock Man. Harlan Ellison has long been the center of many controvercies, including a physical assault on Charles Pratt at the Nebula Awards Banquet.

I think that's it for me today. I wish you all good reading.

I'd like to reccomend the Abhorsen trilogy.
I read it months, perhaps even a year ago, and I was so impressed with it. Garth Nix is an amazing writer. I can't wait to find time to read the RagWitch.
I just typed Abhorsen into google to get the appropriate spellings, and I discovered that the book trilogy has it's own exciting website!
I'll let that website do the talking.

I really enjoy Stephen King's books. Although there are some things in them that I could do with out and a lot of gore sometimes, I really do enjoy his plots. Like Cell. It was quite hard to put down and I read it within a week. I never really did like cell phones, though I have one so I can reach my parents from school in case I need to. ^_^ User Image
