I swear these things show up in most RPGs, one way or another.

This one's a pub instead of a bar because pubs are cooler, but the idea's the same - characters can all run into each other and have a chat so you can get a feel for how they act.

How it looks is detirmined by who's there - it's outside continuity, after all, it can change at will. Woo, spooky. Have a quick and nondescript first post!

Morris, having fallen somewhere out of continuity into yet another RPG, is wandering around in search of a backstory and some grounding this time around. He doesn't know this, though, as that would be doing bad things to the fourth wall...what he does know is that he's thirsty, and that looks like a pub up ahead.

So he walks in and asks for a lemonade. The fizzy kind.

What, you were expecting more description?

It's then that Morris realizes the place is completely deserted, and ponders just who filled his order. He blinks and sets his glass down, wondering if he's dreaming. If he is, he thinks, it's a mighty boring dream...and the lemonade is flat.

Funny, wasn't raining when I walked in... Morris shrugs it off. Weather is unpredictable on Zi, especially with its occasional mad scientists.

"Not sure where everybody is, but yeah, I seem to be the only one here. Name's Morris - not like the cat," he adds, getting up to shake the newcomer's hand.

"Maybe if you order a drink someone'll show. Avoid the lemonade, though..."

The doors flug open only to close as fast and as loudly than they were opened. Kae's hair flew foward a bit as they closed. Her hair being dry unlike tha last newcomer.

She took a quick look around only to notice that only 2 were there. The place looked creepily deserted.

While stretching her arms she looked in the direction of the 2 others.

"Where is everyone? I thought it was supposed to be a lively PUB" She asked loudly as she let one arm sit on her hip and the other drop to her side.

She looked at the one who answered her with a look of disbelief and the shrugged. She walked over to the bar stools and sat down in one swift movement.

"Ermm... make it an Orange Soda..." She waited a bit and then realized exactly what the other meant by drinks appearing out of nowhere.

She turned to the others with a raised eyebrow. "What's up with this PUB anyway??"

Kae leaned over the bar to looked at the green button that was mentionned.

"Well it's definitly green and it looks as if it hasn't been used in ages."

She slid back to sit at her stool properly again andrubbed the back of her neck.

"I'd say give it a shot. It will help us figure out what is up with this place."

Morris presses the button and several things happen. One of them is a neon sign on the wall lighting up, which reads "alarm!" and blinks green to match the button. The other is a rather annoying and incredibly loud beeping noise, which is not green but probably would be if sounds had colors.

"MAYBE IT'S COLORBLIND?" he suggests over the din, then realizes the button is stuck. Shrugging in defeat, he covers his ears and hopes someone will arrive to answer.

"Gah!!" Kaelin slammed his hands over his ears, and winced. His ears were a touch more sensitive than most. "Whoever had such a stupid idea should be shot..." he grumbled to himself, and looked around for the source of the sound.

(...Hiltz walks out of the bathroom? 'cause Kaelin has visions of 'another Zi', and it's the one from the Anime... xD)
