At last. The swamps were behind her now. She had left them perhaps far too eagerly to see the world beyond it's boundries, alone, well except for the little familiar. She grinned to herself she had been travelling soem twenty four hours now and her left foreleg ached a bit but that didn't matter! She was finally out! She could finally see the world through those ruby eyes of hers. Taking in a deep sweet breath she tossed ehr fringe from her eyes and bounded in to a flock of long grass. Rolling over in the strange brittle stuff she giggled happily. She was young and certainly a little more wrekless than your average youngster. After all, the world was her oyster and she had to see it all.
Sighing gently she suddenly realised she was hungry her gut gave a soft rumble to remind her that she had to feed herself now, that her mother and the pride would no longer provide her with such necesseties as food. Frowing slightly she looked around, there were no frogs out here on the dry lands, they could be a suitable diet to say the least. "Kivuli, what do I do now?" She looked around spotting her familiar.
Kivulli grinned around a maw full of termites her little tail wriggling as she swallowed "I unno lassy, me ol' man always said you should eat what you likes" she gives a little shrug of her cdark shoulders. "I dun eb seein' no froggins roun' here tho maybe we can be findin' some lizards or summit for you to gnosh on?"
Kinamasi giggled and gave a short nod lowering herself to the ground to allow her familiar a place between ehr shoulders as usual before she half hop skipped off through the grass once again, she would most certainly have to catch something before nigth fall, her belly was truely aching.

Hasani had left his last traveling companion a few days ago. After the meet in with that little Lioness, it didn't seem well to go with her anylonger. She was just a little to harsh to be with. Hasani prefered to be alone now, afterall, he had been by himself for most of his life.
Some how, while stumbling around in the night looking for a place to sleep, he came to a quiet little field. Tired out of his mind he fell to the ground and slept without disruption for many hours in the edges of a tall grass area. It seemed like a nice place to sleep, of course, at the time, any place was a nice place to sleep.
He remembered in his sleep, times where he had been on his own while he was young, of a mysterious lioness who had helped him, and of learning everything on his own. It made him twitch in his sleep, and his tail swayed slightly in the grass. Some tiny creature scuttled by quickly, perking his ears.
"Hmmmggr?"

Kinamasi was a little startled when the big male lion appeared as if out of no where. The grass had shrouded his figure and his waking noise made her jump though she quickly recovered and giggled tilting her head at the large hairy male. "Where did you come from?" her brow crinkled a little, perhaps it was simply because her head wa sin the clouds or maybe because the wind was behind her that she hadn't scented the big hairy lion. She didn't suppose it mattered, he had seemingly appeared from no where.
Taking a step forwards before she sat to observe the big male in his wakening she licked her lips curiously deep ruby eyes fixed upon him. "Do you live around here?" The question suddenly hit her that perhaps she was trudging in on somone elses territory. Her father had long ago told her of other pridelands where wandering lions may not be as welcome as they were in the swamp lands. Shoot, she'd only just started her journey and already she had made a mistake. huffing she blew her fringe from her eyes before realising she had gone very silenty. "Uhm, I mean i don't want to tresspass." She rolled one shoulder as it had started to cramp with her pause in walking. Gods she hated her leg for being all, weird.
Kivuuli peered from between kinamasis ears and grunted. "Crikey! Where did 'e appear from?" she blinked "Bes' be careful hen he might wanna eat me!"

He rolled slightly to his back and turned his fluf-framed head to look at the girl. His jaws opened wide, but not to scare her, he let out a long yawn. Falling back to the ground he stretched his tired body and rolled onto his belly to look at her again. Tired as he was, he could make out the girl. And... what was that on her head? Ahh, didn't really mater.
"I came from sleeping. And no, I don't live around here. I don't live anywhere." Hasani Tau, still trying to wake up, let out another large yawn. Where was he anyhow? He didn't remember much but telling Najila that he was gona go his seperate way, then just walking... for a long time. When had he last seen her? Then the little girl spoke again.
"Tresspassing? Are we tresspassing? Where? I don't even know where I am." As it was probably becoming aparent to the girl, he wasn't quite 'there' at the moment. Half of him was still sleeping, and the other half? Well... I guess It was sleeping too.
"Who are you?" He said after a moment, realising she was there again.

Kinamasi smiled and stiffled another chuckle. Perhaps the big furry lion had landed on his head or something? Raising a brow she cleared her throat before she spoke again "Oh..well i thought maybe this was your land or something, maybe not tho.." She tailed off feeling sheepish, he seemed rather out of it, he certainly didnt have his head in the game at this point. She found that rather amusing though.
"Oh! I'm sorry, where are my manners, My name is Kinamasi, I don't live any where right now either" She beamed and poked the little genet that was peering over the top of her head "And thats Kivuuli, who might you be sleepy lion?" She grins cheekily her ruby red eyes, those eyes she had inherited from her father, glistening gently in the light of the day. This was the first lion she had met on her journey she wanted to make a good impression.
Kivuli nodded to the big lion and grunted "Jus' dun let 'im eat me awroight?" she grumps.

Hasani Tau yawned again and tried to wake up, after a moment he nodded to her.
"Its a pleasure to meet you, Kinamasi. You too Kivuuli. Im Hasani Tau, a wanderer, which is why I don't live anywhere." He said between another yawn. His present mind started to come awake, and he realised her had been slightly snappy when he woke.
"You must parden me. When I wake, I can be kinda craby at times." Hasani looked at the little thing on her head with a questionable look. "I don't eat things that travle with others, it would be rude to do so." He said, then directed his attention to the fact that an adolecent was traveling by herself, with a tiny companion, and no adult was in sight.
"What are you doing out here alone, Kinamasi?"

Kinamasi grinned broadly. "I'm out on a quest!" She gave a slight cocky laugh as she said this. The swamp lands were far behind her now and the world was ahead. "I'm out to see the world" She stated with a grin, her deep red eyes glimmering happily as she said it. The world was her oyster and she only had one thing to find, her true name, it couldn't be that hard surely.
"Well hasani, being a traveller and all, you must know a fair bit of the world huh?" she raised a curious brow a curious smile spreading on ehr maw now. She would certainly appreciate a companion upon her trip in to the big wide world.
"I'm just about to go on a hunt, if you're awake enough yuo wanna come?" she licked ehr dark lips as she said it, she could really use a friend, plus she had never really hunted anything but frogs and lizards and the odd warthog before. The creatures of the dry lands were differnt than the ones at home. She needed a friend and she needed help.

"Yes." He said looking about the tall grass. "I have been to many places, but I don't think I've been all around the world. Its a very big place. I'd like to go as many places as I could, though."
Hasani let his teal eyes glance down at the girl. Hunting? She was to... hyper to have been on any big hunting outing, to know the work. Well, maybe she was new to the traveler life. Might as well help her to get his mind off of Najila.
"Hunting, ah?" He looked at her again. "Well, I guess I could join you. Have you ever hunted before?" He asked scepticly, though guessed she had to have had some experiance, if not just play hunting. He had been alone for most of his life, though, so hunting was no stranger to him.

"She grinned. Awsome!" She gave a purr and got to her foot paws, it was clar as she walked towards him that her left foreleg was damaged, it had always been this way since she was born, she lived with the odd angle and the slightly mutilated paw, though it ached occasionally and right now it was sore from all the walking she'd been doing.
"Of course I'v hunted ebfore, frogs, crocs, lizards the odd warthog, what ever was up for offer in the swamps. I could definately go for some frog right now and maybe a haunch of warthog?" She beamed having come from wet lands she was used to a different kind of feast, she expected fully that this big, knowlegable lion would know the lie of the land, frogs had to be every where right? And worthogs, well they always had like fifteen babies following them so there had to be some worthogs about right?
Tilting her head a bit she looked to the big male curiously. "I'm sure you know the best places to hunt around heer" she beamed, her tail swaying with some amount of excitement.
Kivuuli peered around ehr friends shoulders and sighed. "Ifn' you're goin' huntin missy I'll bout stay here all that blood and stuff makes me nautious come back fer me later!" The genet then leapt from her friends back and vanished through the long grass no doubt on an food expedition of her own.

Hasani watched with teal eyes as she came closer. It seemed her paw was at some discomfort, but it didn't seem to bother her to much. And if it didn't bother her, he wouldn't ask. Besides, she was drawing his attention away from it by the list of food items.
"Frogs? Crocs? Lizards? Either you've lived most of your life by a muddy watering hole, or you're from the Swamplands! There arn't alot of Crocs or Frogs running aroung in this part. Lizards are pretty much everywhere you look, I think I saw one a moment ago. But Warthogs? They're around her some where. Field mice are everywhere, and I'm fairly certain that there are some merkats in the field over there. Take your pick of food, m'dear. I could eat anything if I can catch it." He said, siting up and looking about as he mentioned each prey. It wouldn't be that hard to find a meal today. It was early morning, so everything was still getting up, and it was still cool enough to function properly.
He also watched the little creature jump from Kinamasi's shoulder, and move from sight into the brush. "Hmmm..." He mumbled quietly before turning back to Kina.

Kinamasi grinned when he mentioned the swamps "you hit the nail on the head my friend!" she giggled lightly her tail flickering happily "I grew up in the swamps." she paused for a moment a slightly sad flicker dancing over her eyes, she missed her family but she so longed to see the world around her, see all of it's wonderful, facinating things. "Anything is fine you probably know better than I whats good to eat!" she puurrs happily padding closer to the big long maned male. She hadn't seen too many males in her time and certainly none of them were of his colouring. He was a handsome devil. She could think that right? She was old enough now to have those thoughts? Of course!
She grinned as she turned her deep, ruby red eyes on Hasani "Lead the way" she beams her chest puffing out a bit, this would be an experience, she had never tasted half of the things he had mentioned, new adventures, new tastes it seemed.

He watched her reaction carfully to his guess. It was important to study one's acuaintences for different traits, Hasani learned this early in life. Someone could seem nice on the outside, but cold on the inside. One just needed to know the difference. It seemed to him, however, that Kinamasi was like him, still young, but alone for the most part. "I figured as much. You have that cent on you." He commented at last.
"Well, The easiest would have to be the warthogs or the feildmice and lizards. Though finding the mice and lizards could take a bit, all we have to do to find the hogs is to look and listen. And of course, they make a better meal." He stood on his paws, dismissing the look that this young female was giving him. Stepping to his right he looked over the tall grass that came just over his shoulderblades. His ears flinched to and fro, listening for the familier grunting noise that came from the warthogs, while his nose searched for the smell. He took a few more steps forward through the grass and turned to his right. "Come along, now." He said looking back at her.

Kinamasi laughed lightly as she padded after the large dark masked male, her tail swang high, curling over her back. A little playful smile curled on ehr maw as she nipped at his tail before slipping between his back legs and curling herself out so that her shoulder brushed his, though much lower down of course. She was quite a large lioness, being the only cub to an adult motehr and father made her very fit and healthy if a little chubby, she would certainly grow up to be a large formidable looking lioness though right now, she was still young, foot loose and fancy free.
"Warthog sounds lovely!" she chirps keeping up the the big male despite the very visable limp in ehr left fore leg. She had lived with the limp her whole life,s he knew how to get by with it. She knew it made hunting a little difficult though, not being as fast as everyone else. Still, perhaps hasani would help her? He seemed friendly enough, perhaps he might even aggree to travel with her a short way? Perhaps.

He didn't pay much mind to the nipping at his tail, but he nearly toppled over for lack of attention to the mater of her going beneith him. It was an odd experiance that set him off balance for a moment. His mind had been on finding the warthog, in any case, and he did not expect to have such an action play out. In the least, it was not hunting behavior, and he exchanged a quick glance of disaprovement, but let it melt away. She was still young yet.
"Yes, warthog is nice. I had some a few days ago, only a small little thing, but it was good." Continuing on his way forward. His ears twitched and he sent her a look to stay silent. Then the sent came to him. He had not expected to be so quick in finding a warthog this early in the day. He bent low to the ground and stalked twards the noise.

Ruby red eyes turned on the fluffy maned male as she walked beside him, she hobbled slightly, but her head was lifted high her deep ruby red eyes filled with the confidence of the young. Her tail flickered and twitched gently, her nose twitching in time with her steps as she tried to find a familiar scent.
Of course, she too caught the breeze of warthogs near by though they smelled somewhat different to the warthogs at home, she knew how to catch a warthog. You just had to watch the front end. She smiled lightly to herslef, warthogs had a dangerous set of equiptment up the front, so to tackle them from behind wa sthe best course of action.
The little femme pursed her lips ad she looked up at hasani with a smile. "do you want to go around back, or should I?" She grinned, this would be easy pickings with two lions. It was hard work destracting a warthog on your own after all. She tilted her head gently curiosity shining in her large youthful eyes. Her first adventure, to catch a meal fit for the two of them. Afterall perhaps she could convince the large male to come with her for a while? The world was a mighty big place after all, she didn't really want to see it all on her own.
