Try to make sure that the thread has been talked in recently before you necro something nobody cares about anymore.
Also, If you feel you need to comment, make sure you have something new and original. And more than 2 words. There's absolutely no reason to necro a thread just to say "I agree."

This is more concerning threads that are over a year or the topic is irrelevent to what's happening now. Ie: A thread about Bush's election when it was happening and someone posting in it today.
If it's just a couple days old then it's fine.
