Samhuin for me. To me, it captures the spirit of "being Pagan" better than any holiday. Not because of all the "ghosts and ghouls" though... I think it has to do with the moon. The full moon closest to Samhuin marks the point when the "veil" between the worlds is thinnest... the psychic "high tide," if you will. I always feel most spiritual during this time, and I try to learn as much as I possibly can during this time, since I retain spiritual knowledge best at this time.

I'm going to go with Beltane. Go Fire Festivals! I fell in love when I read Mists of Avalon (yes, I know it's not factual...), and all my research into it has just deepened that love. Plus, I find I have the best luck with relationships (friends, family, significant other) at that time, which is something I usually have trouble with.

Samhain. Yay. You just can't resist Samhain. Course, with our modern culture, free candy.

Well, I'll go agianst the grain and say BOTH Samhain and Beltane. And no, "The Mists of Avalon" wasn't actually a factual account, but she did a butt load of reasearch and a lot of her facts are true to the research I've done.
I think that both Beltane and Samhain have an energy that is somewhat hard to describe. I have felt at these times of the year differently than at any other. It used to be rather comical before I realized I was Pagan. I would have these funny mood swings, and everything.
Beltane, the energy, the fire, the danceing, the joy. It's indescribeable joy to me. And Samhain is somber, endings, death, rebirth, a more than a bir morbid. So together, they fit my personality rather nicely.

I'm gonna go with Yule, since that's a winter holiday and I love winter holidays. I plan on going out, come december and buying Christmas lights to string up all over my apartment. Then I'm going to have every winter holiday icon (Save for santa, cause dolls are just freaky. whee ) and decorate the entire apartment with them. Won't my roomie be thrilled. xp

SgtElias And Samhain is somber, endings, death, rebirth, a more than a bir morbid. Somehow... this is fitting for what just happened... considering the full moon before is... tommorow if I remember properly? But funny thing... I chose the path... today. I feel sorry for my spirit bonds... they went through hell. But today, October 26, I'm officially declaring myself Pagan. So, I guess for now.. until I learn more... ((Get the real teaching... my spirit bond is my teacher, and she has a unique method.)) I'll stick with this one.

Iwish I knew any other pagans. I'm the only one I really know. Lol, good thing for other pagans that might be near me is that I'm in the southern hemisphere. So we can all have our fright fest and tricks and treats (very few. techniqly Australians don't celebrate halloween. It's becoming more popular now because of the commercial possabilitys and you get free lollies.) then 6 months before or after is samhain time. so no conflict there. I probably couldn't say. Right now I'm sort of agonistic as I do more research on different religions though a pagan paths seems best suited for me (A test agrees with me too) I was seriously concidering a wiccan path and initiation but I kinda changed my mind after doing lots of research I came to the realisation I was reading to many fluff bunny facts and.. oh dear. I've doen it again and goen way off topic lol. sweatdrop Anyway, I think Samhain is cool. A good time for communicationg witht he spirits which some forms of divination (Unless I'm mistaken Tarot cards are included) contacts the spirits. For me someone who uses Tarot quite alot this is good. More spirits to answer more easily while the veil is weak.
