Now, im not saying i wasn't once a total green day fanatic, but on mtv2 i heard tht MCR is being compared to green day. apparently they're very similar...opinions on this statement?

Yeah I love Green Day and MCR
I think they are different but similar in ways.
Example: They both talk kinda talk about death in a way.
Also Green Day is friends with MCR.

Yeah, my opinion is that that statement needs to die a horrible death, hopefully involving gummy bears, rusty sporks and rubber chickens.

I love Green Day, however although they may appear similar the sound between the two bands to me are very different. Green Day is more Pop-Punk, Punk-Rock and MCR is more Post-Hardcore, Rock

i really don't think they're that similar. green day is more political and mcr is more death related.
