(( For clarification purposes, this is a session that's been played over aim and in a private forum for confidentiality purposes. We've not been inactive, we simply wanted the events following to remain secret and out of character knowlege (save for those involved) until we were ready to post it. The following is an rp between Angie, Ryugen, and Thalion. ))

[]AIM RP[]

Thalion:
Morning had stretched its long fingers over the land, combing through the cold mists that swirled just a few inches above the dew-dropped grass. In the morning, it was hard to tell that the land was in such a horrid state. One could almost forget about the drought, the thinning rivers, and the herds that had been overhunted thanks to invading rogues and ruffians that sought to turn the valley into nothing more than a breeding ground...raping the land and the small pride of just about eveything they had. Maji shook out his silvery mane as he walked through the trees towards the lake for his morning drink. His talk with the two other males had calmed him a bit, the encounter with the Anansi had furthere eased his mind... but there were still rogues to be driven out. Even after, the pride would have to travel far to hunt so the local herd could grow again and find safety in the valley... if they left...
roningirlpg: Sekhmet for her part, was trying her hardest to distract herself from the vanishing of her brother. She'd thought of herself and her equally starkly colored sibling as close when they were younger...but if they'd been close....

Ryugen:
If they'd really been close, he'd never have run away....She thought glumly, balancing....or something that resembled it....on a thick branch as low to the ground as she could find.
roningirlpg: Unlike the black jaguars she resembled somewhat, she wasn't exactly meant to be up a tree, and her Mistweaver 'thumbs' could only help her out so much against the designs of nature.
roningirlpg: Still, it was a pretty good distraction, when you had to think more about keeping the 'ground' under you than what your stupid brother was doing. Maybe males were just stupid......

TormentedAngie:
The silvery lioness padded slowly within the lands. Her crystalline eyes searched the terrain for anything that moved within her homeland. Toes dug into the ground, her claws extended to give her a better feel for that beneath her pawpads. It was obvious the land was being sapped of it's strength, but imagination held onto the lustre that she could only assume had shone here before. Stalking her way through the obstacles she encountered, a bush here, a tree there, the former slave, now a forgotten princess, caught wind of something nearby. Could it be that what Mufasa had said was true? Others had moved in, upon her absence and ignorance of the situation? Her glance darted amongst the trees, looking for some sign of that which she scented. Perhaps it was only Kit behind her, just a ways off. Still, it couldn't hurt to be cautious, could it?

Thalion:
Maji followed along the river, completely lost to his thoughts. He paused as a small flock of birds exploded from the grass ahead of him, spooked by the subtle sound of the lion's approach. He watched them fly off, an ear rotating as he turned towards the trees. He should make his rounds... see how the cubs were doing, make sure that they were minding the boarder, and check in with Ramses and Enki... He dipped his head shortly to lap at the water, grateful that the pure, clean taste had remained at least.

Ryugen:
Sekhmet freezes on her branch as the silver lioness drifts below her, eyes widening. Something about the pretty lioness reminds her strongly of Uncle Maji....but her and her scar are entirely unfamiliar, which makes her tense Unfortunately, going tense isn't exactly what her particular situation requires...and with a muffled squeak as she tries to be quiet, she scrabbles furiously at bark as she starts to slip..... And falls, all ends pointy, out of the tree, flailing wildly, her bright red eyes wide as sausers.

TormentedAngie:
Sika's suspicions proved correct as the trees seemed to open up with flying fur and claws. It's questionable what was going through her mind at that point as she quite literally became the landing pad for a rather largish furry object. As the dark juvenile landed upon her back, Masika pulled herself to a crouch, helping to soften the blow as best she could. "What in the WORLD?" Hopping out from under the youngster, the silvery lioness whirled around, baring fang and claw at her 'attacker', only to find it wasn't an attack at all, but just a larger than average cub. Tilting her head, the regal lioness sat on her haunches, glancing from tree, to cub, and back to tree, as if trying to figure out how on earth the little one got in there in the first place. "Mind explaining why you choose to fall on unsuspecting travellers?" Her tone was even, her voice soft, but held a firmness about it, one that would not be trifled with.

Ryugen:
Sekhmet, bright red eyes as wide as they can possibly get, bushes out as much as it's actually possible for her to do so, making her look perhaps a bit larger yet. "Uh....uh......She looks around wildly, clearly nervous and startled, then stiffening proudly. "I didn't CHOOSE to fall on anyone. I was climbing a tree. It's a stupid tree!"

TormentedAngie:
Masika couldn't help herself. A soft chuckle emitted from her muzzle, the first semi-relaxed action she'd taken in a while. In the act of chuckling, the three crystals at her chest clinked together merrily. It was obvious the necklace was slightly larger than she was, proving that it was someone else's before her own. Raising a paw to the young one, the silvery mistweaver female shook her head. "No need to become a fluff ball on my account. I don't plan on eating you, after all." A pause was inserted in the moment, before the regal lioness continued. "What were you doing in the tree, if it is such a stupid tree to begin with? Or should I just not ask?"

Ryugen:
"H-How would I know what you're planning?" The juvenile demands, eyes still wide. "You could be a Nyekundu!" she announces, using this name as though it meant all monstrous things, everywhere. "I was... I was showing the stupid tree no stupid tree was gonna beat me! One of the other cubs climbs trees, and he's a boy...I said I could do it better. I wanna show him I'm -right-...."

TormentedAngie:
Raising an eyebrow, the silvery lioness was taken aback by this reaction to her comment. "A.... Nyekundu? Well, that does sound rather frightening. But I assure you I am not one of those, whatever they may be." Turning to the tree, she again chuckled. "And I'm sure you showed him, didn't you? Boys are too full of themselves from time to time. Good to know you could prove him wrong." Glancing around for the said cub in question, and seeing nothing, Masika turned to the little girl once more. "I have a couple of important questions to ask of you, young one. And I would be most humbled if you could answer them for me. First off, may I know to whom I : am speaking, so that I may be respectful in calling you by your name, rather than simply, 'hey you' or 'hey cub'?"

Ryugen:
She blinks, startled by the lionesses particular turn of phrase. Her? Humbled? She's too pretty to be humbled....."It's Sekhmet." She blurts, blinking, in startlement. "Ramses is my father." Bowing her head, the young lioness smiled at the juvenile. "Sekhmet.

TormentedAngie:A pretty name for a pretty girl. My name is Masika. I have another question to ask. What has become of the lions of old that used to live upon these lands? If you do not know, that's fine, Sekhem. I'm just curious..." With a soft sigh, the former slave winced slightly as she bore a bit too much weight upon her right shoulder. Licking the scar that was forming there, she awaited the answer to this question with dread, and anticipation all at once.

Ryugen:
Sekhmet's ears redden slightly at this, as she considers it. "The Mistweavers?" She asks, after a moments consideration. I'm a mistweaver. So's my daddy....and my uncles, Enki and Maji. They were born here, but they went away for a while and came back, and Maji found my daddy. My daddy was born here too, but my grandmother ran away because...the...." She considers. "Fiiiiirekin came." She rolls out the name from memory. "And were hurting people. I've never met her though."

TormentedAngie:
There were mistweavers still alive? Apparently Mufasa hadn't known about this, then too, with his brood, he wouldn't have had much time to wander around the lands, finding out what was going on. The more this little lioness told her, the more she was startled to hear. "Your father was born here? At the time the firekin came and hurt others?" Could this be someone truly from the pride, and not just someone who wandered in, claiming kinship to a fallen pride? "You're a big help Sekhmet." Her ears flattened though, not in irritation with the girl, but in irritation over not knowing anything that had happened since her kidnapping. "Do you know where your father is, Sekhmet? I should like to speak with him for a moment, if I may..."

Ryugen:
Sekhi's own ears flatten breifly in mimicry of Masika's, but then she nods. "I can show you....but he's not...really happy right now. Nyekundu took my brother, Moses..."

TormentedAngie:
"I'm very sorry for your loss Sekhmet, and I understand your concern, but I really would like to meet your father." Masika, formerly known as Dama, knew that timing was everything, and it would be better to catch someone at a better time, however for her, time was of the essence. She NEEDED to know what was going on, who'd moved in upon her lands, and whether there were those still alive from the time when she was stolen from them. If this little girl spoke truth, then perhaps, just perhaps there were those out there, who could give her final closure about what happened to her family.

Ryugen:
Sekhmet considered this for a wary moment, then stood up, nodding toward an faint path through the drought tortured foliage. "He's at the caves, I'll show you...." She says, padding away, emboldened by Masika's politeness

TormentedAngie:
Masika kept silent, nodding slightly as she stood up, slightly limping after the juvenile. Her thoughts raced with questions, many of which were probably inappropriate for such young ears. As she passed through the terrain around her, she couldn't help but wonder what on earth had happened to her home in her absence. What was she in for, being led by a cub into the heart of the lands, where she most surely could be walking into an attack. Flattening her ears, the silvery lioness kept padding along, unsure of what she was getting herself into at this point.

Ryugen:
Sekhmet moves along at a decent clip, though it's likely easy enough for longer legs to keep up with, humming distractedly under her breath. "What about you? Where are you from?" She asks. "Where were you born? Daddy met some lions today that were from underground." Let to her own devises, she rambles a bit, fascinated by the recent events. "They're the ones who told us about Moses....they said he went with Nyekundu...and Nyekundu made him a general. Isn't that strange? My brothers only as big as me....and he knows all about Nyekundu too, because he hurt my mom a lot when we were born....why would you go with someone who did that?" She pauses, looking back puzzled as though the older lioness might somehow have the answer for this nagging conundrum

TormentedAngie:
Bombarded with a barrage of questions, the silvery lioness didn't know where to start. Not wanting to be out with the complete truth just yet, as there was no telling who might be listening, Masika chuckled softly. "I'm from all over the lands, I would say. I have traveled to many places in my lifetime, already. I was born....in a place much like this." She paused for a moment for a breath, before attacking the rest of the questions. "This Nyekundu. He sounds like a very nasty lion. I don't know why your brother would want to go with him..." It wasn't entirely something she knew the entire story about, though she made note in her mind to find out more later.
Ryugen:
"I didn't think it made sense either..." Sekhmet adds, sounding a little crestfallen that she still has no answer, now making her way up the path toward the caves. "I thought he was happy...or as happy as he ever got."

TormentedAngie:
Sika slowly wandered behind Sekhmet, trying to keep too much pressure off of her shoulder, while trying to keep up all the same. Glancing around, the young lioness got an impression of how wonderous this place must have been around the time of her birth. If only things could be as they were so long ago.... But that was then, and this is now, and things are never as we'd want them to be. For now, she falls silent once more, awaiting the meeting between this little juvenile's father, and herself.

Ryugen:
He emerges as the two climb the path to the caves, an large male lion who shares the powerful build his daughter promises to have when she grows. Not as dark as his daughter, though he shares her briliant red eyes, his white mane is as thick as the mist that crouds around the base of the falls at their fullest. If he didn't look so much as though some enormous fource had taken a part of his spirit and crushed it, he'd have been perhaps rather handsome. As it is...he looks faintly world weary and bedraggled.

TormentedAngie:
Crystal blue eyes glanced this new figure over, unsure what to make of him at first. His size isn't a worry, Sika herself is as big, maybe a shade smaller in proportion. Finding her manners, though instinct tells her to do otherwise, the young silvery lioness bows her head in greeting. "Good day, stranger. I find I have come at a bad time, but your..." she paused for a moment before going on, "daughter has told me you might

TormentedAngie:
know of the firekin invasion of the mistweavers of old, and I asked her if I could speak with you on it. Forgive my manners, my name is Masika."

[]Aim RP - Continued a few days after the prior one.[]

Ryugen:
He blinks faintly, taking in this information as though from a distance, his attention drawing to the here and now. "I know some of it, and more is painted on our walls....I'm curious though, since you're not our first visitor these last few days....what brings you to inquire after the invasion of the Firekin?" he asks, stepping forward. "My name is Ramses, though I suspect my daughter may have already told you as much." He notes, with a sidelong look to Sekhmet, who flicks her ears and tries to look bold.

TormentedAngie:
The former slave inclined her head once more. "Indeed she told me of you." With a pause, she smiled down at the youngster before letting her crystalline eyes light upon the large male again, keeping her stance loose, in case she needed to get away from him for whatever reason. "The invasion of the Firekin isn't entirely well known, at least not in the other lands, however I must know if any survived it. Most importantly, the king or the queen." Masika's reasons stayed guarded, he probably wouldn't tell her anyway. But there was no reason to put the cart before the oxen, now was there? She fell silent, letting her eyes trail off the lion in front of her to take a glance up at the caves he emerged from, hoping for some kind of recognition from the past she was stolen away from.

Ryugen:
He flicks his ear faintly, considering how to answer this. "Maji, cousin to the fallen Royals, is currently acting as the leader of the Mistweavers. There was another, but she left, for reasons we don't know, though I know the fault was not Maji's..." He says warily. "And Myself and my Brother Enki do our best to help him. As far as I know, she and Maji were the only ones alive tied to the old king and queen closely."

TormentedAngie:
"Another? There was another? Do you know of her name?" Taking a step forward, Masika's eyes widened slightly at the mention of a male possibly being tied to her family. Mufasa hadn't mentioned others tied to the royal line, just herself. Flicking an ear like a radar around herself, Masika kept a listen for any sign that she might be in a trap of some sort, and being surrounded by pridal members. So far so good though, the only sounds she heard were from the father and daughter. "The...king and queen....didn't survive, I take it? Please. Tell me. Was it the firekin who snuffed out their lives?" Venom seeped from her voice as she said it. If he so much as nodded even slightly with a yes, the firekin bastards would pay for every single wrong they'd done her....

Ryugen:
"I think so..." He notes, lowering his ears faintly a the venom in her voice. "And my father as well...the Firekin did an enormous harm to the Mistweavers."

TormentedAngie:
Snarling, the princess wrenched her head to the side, glaring at the path beside her feet. "The firekin have done far more harm than anyone can imagine...." Trailing off, Masika turns back to Ramses once more. "My condolences for your father. I have seen first hand what they are capable of, I am lucky I myself do not bear the scars, as my companion does to this day." Shaking her head, the young lioness sighs. "This.... Ciyari and Maji. What ties did you say they had to the fallen Royals?" Curiosity over the connection these.... lions had to her family won over, perhaps she should've kept on the subject of the firekin invasion, it would've been safer.

Ryugen:
"Maji was the son of the sister of the queen....Ciyari...I'm far less certain..." He eyes her with ears pinned back, warily. "The rest of Maji's family is gone as far as I'm aware....but he rules quite well even if his blood is a little thin for some peoples taste..." Even if he is a bit naieve....Ramses considered. "Interesting questions...."

TormentedAngie:
Just as warily, the silvery lioness considers this information. "So...none of the royals....lived through the invasion?" Was there no record, no knowledge passed down that a daughter was born? Or did they just assume that she died in the invasion as well? This Ciyari...sounded more and more like what Mufasa had warned her about. Someone who'd moved in and taken over the land, claiming lineage to the royals. If that were the case, and they'd suspected her, then her own claim to lineage, despite being true, might be considered as fake, and who knew what could happen then. For now, she needed to play her cards right, and keep her nose clean, till she could get a bit more understanding of what was going on.

Ryugen:
"None that we're aware of...a lot of people were just...lost track of..." he frowns. "Enki...Maji...even me, we were all lost for a time....but we still have the paintings. Thats where I found my mothers image...."

TormentedAngie:
"Paintings? Could I....see these paintings? Please?" A jumble of emotions ran through the young princess. Her voice was strained as she asked, it never occured to her that she would be turned down in such a request. If there were paintings, perhaps....just perhaps she would get a single chance to see what her parents looked like, so that she could see where she came from, if but once in her life.

Ryugen:
SHe looked surprisingly like Maji, even her markings were similar, and perhaps this is what makes him hesitate, and then nod, stepping back. "I'll show you....you know you look a lot..." He hesitates. "A great deal like Maji..."

TormentedAngie:
"I.... do?" Having never seen this Maji, it was hard to comprehend she looked like anyone, for that matter. These two were dark, but if they were mistweavers, then how on earth SHE could be mistaken for one, was beyond her comprehension. She didn't argue though, and quickly stepped forward, limping slightly as she looked towards the caves once more. These paintings....she needed to see them. That's all she wanted right now.

Ryugen:
The paintings inside the cave may answer this question, as almost none of the lions painted inside have anything like the colors presented by Ramses and his daughter, or at least not with such prevolence. Most of the lions are softer colors, like herself, white, grey, a soft dusty clay red in some places, but largely dominated by soft and misty colors, like their name. "You do..." He nods, walking behind her and raising a paw to gesture to a few of the paintings. "There's Maji...this ones new...there's his parents....there's the King and Queen........"

TormentedAngie:
Masika paused at the image of the King and Queen, almost overlooking the image of Maji himself. Raising a paw up, without touching them, she traced their features. The thick mane of her father, the strong eyes of her mother. The necklace around her father's image similar to that which she wore around her neck at the moment. It was the first time she would see her parents, and it pained her greatly to know that she.... couldn't remember them. But a smaller image, close to them, made her pause for a moment. "Who....who's this?" She asked, pointing towards a very small cub image. She hadn't gotten to the image of Maji quite yet.

Ryugen:
"I think..." He pauses, remembering the history. "I think Enki said her name was...Dama I think. I was...a touch distracted at the time..." Her own reaction is similar to his own when he'd seen his own family on the wall, recognizing his mother, and seeing his father for the first time, in paint, on the wall.
roningirlpg: He blinked again, startled, and gave her another look. Hadn't that been the name she'd introdused herself as??? "Like you called yourself...."
TormentedAngie:
Her eyes glanced over the images of her mother and father again, then herself as a little cub. It seemed that the images were painted with love, at least that was a comfort, right? Glancing over the image Ramses had pointed out as Maji, she tried to see the resemblance that had been told of. He was kind of like her. Seemed to be of a slightly darker pelt color than herself, but had similar white hair tufts. He had a mane, whereas she, of course didn't. His markings seemed similar to her own as well, as she noticed. Indeed, she could see a bit of a resemblence, at least. This sinking in, she almost didn't hear the darker lion's surprised explaination. "Masika...." Turning to him, the middle crystal on her necklace glittering in the low light of the cave, she nodded thoughtfully. "Indeed, my name is Masika as well..." She tried playing it off as coincidence, for now anyway.

Ryugen:
He tilted his head faintly, looking between her and the paintings on the wall, quietly placing a paw on the drawing of her father, one claw pointing to the necklace. "Is this also a coinsidence?" He asks. Had another Mistweaver returned home?

TormentedAngie:
Quicky, Masika looked away from the image. "I... I found it." Not entirely wrong, but not entirely true either. She'd found the person who'd given it to her, at the very least? Padding through the cave, she glanced through at the different pictures, taking in her lineage. "This... this dark one here. Is that someone you're related to?" Effective change of subject, or see through ruse to try and avoid answering fully the question he asked her? It could be either, or could be both, at this point.

Ryugen:
He eyes her suspiciously, his mind keen if a little weary, all his attentions on edge after loosing his son. "This one...yes...." He puts a paw up. "Thats...my father, and this one is my mother...." He puts a paw to them. "And this one is Enki..." He points to a soft grey lion with a cinnomon colored mane.

TormentedAngie:
She inwardly sighed in relief as he steered in the same direction her questions did, avoiding possibly harmful questions of who she was. Still, if he suspected, then wouldn't that mean...perhaps he would believe the story? And if he did believe something was up, then why hadn't he persued it further? "Enki." She nodded to this knowledge, soaking it in. Perking her ears up, she glanced towards the mouth of the cave, wondering where the little one had gone to. Had she gone on to alert other hunters in the area that an intruder had come in? Suddenly, she wasn't entirely as comfortable as she had been moment's earlier. Just as when Mufasa had told her of her true heritage, Masika felt overwhelmed with the entire situation. Closing her eyes for a moment, she tried to calm herself, telling her mind that flight was impossible at the moment.

Oh how she wished Kit were nearby, he'd know what to do, what to say just to take the edge off, and her bring sanity back.

Ryugen:
Sekhmets bright red eyes peek around the corner as though on cue, trying to be stealthy. Her eyes widen again and she ducks back around the corner as she realizes Masika is looking

TormentedAngie:
She almost missed the beady eyes, but it did help a lot to calm her. At least she knew others weren't after her, yet anyway. She suspected the cave was one that could project a roar rather far and thus alerting anyone in the land of the need to come. She still needed to be careful in what she said and did, at this point. "Enki, doesn't look like you" she mused over the cinnamon and white colored manes. So different they were, yet related. It was a strange concept to her, having grown up where all the firekin looked like each other. Blood red pelts and seething hearts full of hate. Never, in her slavery, had she ever seen any cubs different than red, save for Jua's cubs. and at that point, they were all dead, perhaps save the one Mwezi had saved..

Ryugen:
"He has some of my mothers colors, one of his sons has a marking like mine though..." he notes, with pride, ponting to his cub image and the ankh on his chest. "You can't see all of it though, it goes under the ruff on her head....".

TormentedAngie:
Nodding, the young silver lioness takes in the cub images and his own markings. Cubs.... They already had cubs. it was hard to imagine, to be honest. She'd never thought of having a family yet, let alone having cubs. She'd had no desires towards males like that yet. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that she'd grown up at such an early age, and hd to worry about survival, rather than creation. "I'm sure the daughter is quite lovely..".

Ryugen:
"They are...they're wonderful...." he says, and a slight sigh escapes him, eyes flashing with the fresh pain of the loss of his own son. He'd been so lost in affection he'd never dreamed his own son could abandon him like that....

TormentedAngie:
Changing the subject, for his apparently, and her own sakes, Masika raised more questions. "Is the mistweavers of old rebuilt as a pride? Are there other lions besides the handful you've mentioned, here?" She wanted to gain as much knowledge of the area as she could, even in such a short time. Knowing what she could possibly be up against, was half the battle to regaining her home.

Ryugen:
"We're trying..." He answers, warily. "There are those who've returned from the old bloodline, there are those who came looking for safety...though we've had far too many just passing through four our taste, especially with the draught...."

TormentedAngie:
She nods, striding back to front of the cave, but not without pausing to take another glance at her parents once more. "It's obvious where the rivers and waterflows have staunched slightly. The rain has deserted the area." Sighing, the lioness sat upon her haunches, taking a good look around from the vantage point of the caves. "It seems the Storm King needs reawakening, or our homeland will soon dry up..." She never noticed her slipup, continuing on in a simple fashion. "I can only imagine what this place looked like, so long ago. Back when the pride flourished, before even the old King's parents' time. I trust no firekin have wandered back since the invasion?" Last she'd heard of the pride, plague had consumed them too. Many had fled to find homes elsewhere. Mwezi had been lurking in the pridelands, and Mwali, the coward, had taken up residence within the pridelands, and started a family of his own. She couldn't imagine many others being alive after the plague, save for maybe Makadari's other son, Kiu.

Ryugen:
"No Firekin, just Nyekundu." He says, his own voice harsh. "This place looked so much greener, when I was smaller, it feels as though the Storm God has turned his back on us...."

TormentedAngie:
"Nyekundu...." Again with the name.....she'd have to learn more of this...Nyekundu at some point. "Perhaps. But it's also possible...that the Storm God is just...waiting for his followers to fully acknowledge him again." Something inside of her clicked as she said that, perhaps a story from her early child hood that was told by a heavenly voice. Her mother? She shook her head, trying to rid the thought from her mind for now. She couldn't dwell on that just now.

Ryugen:
He wants to break out and yell at her, demanding how they could acknowledge the Storm god further, when they'd been so scattered and were trying so hard, but doesn't, clamping his jaw against it. "...Perhaps..." Was it his fault for having mated with someone who wasn't a Mistweaver? His children? LIke Moses and Sekhmet?

TormentedAngie:
Her necklace clinked against each other, breaking the moment. "What else can you tell me of the land and the lions within it?" Was she getting too nosy? Perhaps, but she needed to know one way or another, and it wasn't going to get told if she didn't ask directly.

Ryugen:
He sits down on his haunches, studying her intently. "What else can you tell me about yourself?" He challenges, though not agressively. "We've already lost one cub...I'd rather not see any others disappear, no mater who you resemble. You'll pardon my caution

((The next few posts were played out over a few weeks in a private forum away from SOA. Once again, the purpose behind our taking the RP into another forum was to keep the events secret from any uninvolved characters until we were complete.))

TormentedAngie
Masika was slightly caught offguard at the question, though she should've expected it at some point. She would have to pick her words carefully, if she was to remain guarded.

Instead, she shook her head. "My story... isn't much for anyone's ears, I'm afraid. I've recently come from the pridelands, a peaceful pride. The king apparently knew the king from here..." She drifted off, not sure what to say after that.

Ryugen
Ramses considered this a moment, looking back tiredly out over the jungles, feeling weary. Although she had denied it, some small part of him nursed an spark of hope that she might also be of the lost Mistweaver bloodline, that she like him would be one of those cubs on the wall that had vanished. Maybe she could help them unlock the secret of what to do, how to appease the Storm king. Had he helped anger him further by mating with Laana? His mate who had once seemed so passionate, who he hadn't even spoken to of late.....it made his heart ache to think about it.
"The King of the Pridelanders?" He asks, consideringly. "Thats some pride you've left, huh?"

Sekhmet's red eyes peer around the corner again, brilliant and facinated as the conversatin unfolds.

"Well if they're freinds of yours maybe we should ask a freind of the pride to carry a message that you've reached here alive. Our borders have been....assaulted so much recently it might be a comfort to someone."

Truthfuly he means to ask the Anansi, the mysterious lions and the cheetah cub who so recently arived to ask aliance of the Mistweavers, offering their own skills. Strange creatures that smell of dust and stone and earth. If anyone knew if she'd really come from the Pride lands it would be them, if they were really as well informed as they claimed to be. Besides, the nervous Maliska might find comfort talking to the soft spoken blind lioness that had accompanied her darker, calculating mate.

Masika pondered this for a moment, before nodding slightly. "The king is a wise one. One who helped me from my wandering path, to the path I now walk. The one that brought me here..." Oh, it wasn't that Masika didn't want to tell her story... But she wasn't sure if this was one to be entirely trusted, as he probably thought of her. She needed to know more of those who lived here, before she explained herself as being the mysterious cub on the wall, the one whom had disappeared without a trace...

At the mention of maybe sending someone to give word to Mufasa that she'd reached here alive, she hesitated. Of course the old king would want to know that she was alive and well, and hadn't been killed by marauding lions who'd taken over. At least, she hadn't been yet. But he was bound to be busy with everything he had to do... A brief nod was given to that as well. If it was possible, she did want word out to Mufasa...

Ryugen
Sekhmet's head peers more boldly around the corner at this discussion, though she doesn't speak for a moment.
"I know they were talking to Maji earlier, I don't know if they're still there, but we can try and turn them up." He stands up, still looking world weary, though deep fondness creeps onto his features at the glimpse of the dark cub outside the mouth of the cave. If her birth was part of what had angered the Storm king he didn't know what he would do....
"We can go try and turn them up. I think Sekhmet was talking to Taban earlier...or at least you smell like it, sweetness...." He notes, causing Sekhmet to dramaticly pull herself up.
"Taban is -stupid-." She anounced, firmly. "I've got more mane than he does...."
Having never seen an cheetah before, she's not sure what to make of him, but she finds him an very odd character to be certain. "He thinks he's so special...."
"He's fast." Ramses answers. "That counts for a lot, though I was actually going to ask Korvo...or Devi." Though he's uncertain of asking an blind lioness to cary any message, she seems to be able to navigate with an uncanny if slow certainty, and her made Korvo seemed certain enough of her....

TormentedAngie
She nearly laughed out loud to hear the young girl announce that Taban, whoever he was, was stupid. 'Sika listened in interest at the names of others being thrown around. Filing these names away for later, hopefully with the chance to put a face with the name for her memory banks later on, Masika remained silent, allowing the father and daughter to converse between each other. She had no input to add to the conversation, so best thing was to remain silent.

Her eyes strayed back into the cave, however, to the pictures of her parents once more. Flicking her tail tip slightly, she was content, simply to listen, and stare at the picture.

Ryugen
"You look so much like them, it's amazing...." Ramses adds, softly, sitting back down to wait for her to look her fill. It reminds him of when he'd been shown his own family on the cave wall. He'd been so awed, he'd thought his heart was overflowing. It had been again since, but in a different way. This time with heartbreak and pain. Things had changed so much since then...it was nice to see someone be happy again.
"Are you a princess?" Sekhmet demanded, bold where her father has been letting things quietly slide. "That would be like a story....Taban says his pride tells lots of stories, but I didn't get him to tell me one. I think he was lying. Or he just didn't know any..."

TormentedAngie
She sighed a bit at Ramses' soft words, unable to really say much to it. How could she really say anything about them without sounding suspicous against what she'd been saying all along. How could she live without meeting them, even?

Sekhmet's outburst startled Masika into wide-eyed silence. She didn't know how to approach it, or what to say. All she could say was "I uhh... I..." Her ears were pinned against her head, but not in a malicious way. She just couldn't answer the innocent question.

Ryugen
Ramses own ears perk up and then go flat out of startlement at his daughters question.
"Sekhmet!" He protests, not sure what else to say on the matter.
"What? It's just a question! She looks like Uncle Maji, and she's got the cool necklace and it would be JUST like a story and it would be really AMAZING!" She continues, her wide eyes telling that she's painting whole stories in her own mind. "YOU came back, Daddy. Uncle Maji found you when you were just a cub you said..."
"Thats Different, Sekhi...." He frowns, standing up. "My mother was alive, a lot of the cubs on the walls here were lost to the firekin, and if things happened like they did in stories...." He doesn't finish, but the sentiment hangs between father and daughter like an sword or an unsheathed claw.
Moses.

TormentedAngie
Shaking her head, Masika stepped between the two. "She's right, Ramses. I -am- the missing princess. The name isn't a coincidence, nor is the necklace. The firekin didn't kill everyone like it's been said, though. I was raised by them as their slave. Their personal whipping child, along with a friend who accompanied me here and got left behind when I went chasing shadows that turned out to be your lovely daughter. I was her age when Kitwana and I escaped from the tyranny of the firekin. I grew up living in the pridelands, scraping up what I could to survive. It wasn't until I reached adolescent that I met the king of the lands there, and got his permission to live there for as long as I liked. It wasn't until I foolishly took down a large waterbuck on my own, and suffered this," she gestured to the scar along her shoulder, "that he realized I needed to know what he knew. He knew my father, Nyunya as a friend, and had saved the necklace I wear, to return to him when he saw him next. He held onto it, until he saw me, that is. Knowing of my birth, he knew it was mine, and should be given to me..." Sighing, Masika sat down between them, continuing on with her story.

"He told me of the fact that everyone died, or left, long ago. That the pride was going downhill long before my birth, but that my parents held hope with me, that the pride would revive into what it once was. That was until a plague ravaged through, probably brought in by a wanderer. When the numbers were down to very few, a firekin lioness came in and killed the remainders, at least, Mufasa is fairly certain that word he heard on his borders was that she killed the last living members who had the strength to oppose her, and let the others die of their sickness. They stole me at such an early age, I assume because the earlier you steal a cub, the less they remember of their old life and the better they can teach you their ways of fear and hatred, and never be questioned against it." Padding to the back of the cave, Masika placed her front paws at either side of her parents images, and her own cub image, and bowed her head. "In a way, I probably owe the firekin my life, for they probably saved me from the sickness that took my family... but I can never forgive them for it..."

Ryugen
Ramses couldn't have reacted terribly much differently if someone had dropped part of the cave on his head. He starts out taking a breath to snarl at the intrusive Maliska for stepping between himself and his, he beleives, naieve daughter, but chokes on it.
Princess? It was almost too much to comprehend, the idea that, even with her looks, her pendant, that she -actually- be that lost princess. Was this some sort of mockery? Some cosmic joke? Or was she really who she claimed to be, come back to them? The answer to their prayers or just another cuff to the face? It seemed too much to hope for when he'd so recently been cost his son.
"I....You......What?" He stammered.

Sekhmet however was only emboldened by this revelation, sinking her claws of beleif into it as she draws herself up. "SEE? There! The Storm King has NOT abandoned us! I don't CARE about Moses! I DON'T! We've got a princess and ME! And We'll be the BEST lions EVER!" She bristles, flashing with pride.

TormentedAngie
Taking a deep breath, Masika nodded, knowingly. "I didn't believe it at first either... Mufasa certainly had to be mistaking me for someone else. But the old king was so sure of himself and his convictions. He gave me this necklace of Nyunya and Kunge's, that's how sure he was that I was Masika, the daughter of the pride." Shaking her head, the silvery toned lioness sat back down upon the cave floor. "I don't even know WHAT I'm doing here. I just know this is where I belong. For so long, I haven't belonged anywhere. Even living in the Pridelands, I didn't feel like I belong. But here... it's like bits and pieces seem familiar, though I don't remember them at all. I feel...at peace almost, if that makes sense."

"I don't expect you to believe me, I understand how it could seem incredibly fake. I still am not sure if I myself believe it. But somehow it just seems right. I just wish..." Trailing off, she sighs, shaking her head. "Princess may be the title I had when I was born, but first and foremost, I am a daughter, coming home..."

Ryugen
Ramses stood in shocked silence, his shaken emotions written plainly on his dark features. No wonder her reactions had been so close to his own when he'd finaly learned about the cave. His own memories didn't include the cave, or this place, but his mothers distracted rambling stories had. He'd thought them myths or the ramblings of a mad lioness for such a long time it had hurt to realize how much truth there had been in her broken mind.
It still felt like a cruel joke.
"By the Storm god..." He half felt the urge to sob choking his throat. "I loose my son and the Mistweavers get their daughter back..." He shook his head slowly.
Sekhmet scrambles over to rub herself against his legs in comfort, though her eyes watch Masika in awe even as she seeks to console her father.

TormentedAngie
Sitting upon her haunches, her front feet tucked up in front of her, her neck held just so, the silver-toned lioness posed a rather regal form in front of the dark lion. Granted it hadn't been her intention to take such a stance, it just happened. She never wanted to seem better than anyone, she was who she was, and that's all there was to it. But there was a grace about her, one that almost seemed bred into her lineage. The necklace about her neck, that seemed much larger than it should on her, almost seemed like it fit for once.

Sighing softly, Masika shook her head. "I wish I had more solid proof, so that it wouldn't seem so outlandish, but there's naught I have, but this necklace, and the marks upon my body that match the ones on this wall. I wish I really could get a grasp on the situation myself, for that matter..." Her eyes shifted from the obviously distraught dark lion, down to his daughter and her wide-eyed gaze. The little one's gaze back was genuine enough, but it made Masika slightly uncomfortable, if only because she wasn't used to being looked at in such a way. Stares and hard glares were the norm for her, often accompanied by a sharp cuff. That was long ago though, why she should be thinking, even expecting such things was beyond her comprehension.

"Please... tell me of the land, and the lions within it..." She asked one more time, hopeful that he would believe her enough to tell her more of the place she had come home to.

Thalion
"I count at least fifteen within the boarders, sir." Taban continued as he made his report. Maji had gone to the Anansi for their help... the lions of the underground were skilled at slipping through the shadows like a silent wind, of observing and gathering invaluable information simply through their quiet observations. Taban along with Lucia, a hyena, and Fubar, a maned wolf, had done some scouting within the week, tracking the invading lions by scent to where they denned, observing them from a distance and reporting their findings back to him. "I spoke with two of them... a brown male who was speaking with a blue female- apparently he's been here for a time though Lucia hasn't managed to pick up his scent anywhere else. He claimed that this was his rightful home."

Maji shook his head, frowning as he walked forward through the caves. "I wish you hadn't spoken with them in all honesty, Taban... we are to remain a secret within these lands."

"They hardly took me seriously." He chuckled smoothly, "They are under the illusion that I'm a cheetah, foolish creatures. I think the drought has made them i-"

Maji froze, his ears rotating forward as he listened. Ahead he could hear two familar voices, Ramses and his daughter... but the third was new. He frowned a bit more as he made his way forward, momentarily ignoring the cheetah that trailed behind him, equally confused.

He turned a corner, his eyes first falling on Ramses and his daughter. Relaxing slightly he then let his eyes trail to the lioness sitting before his cousin, eyes widening slightly....

The markings on the wall, the markings on her. "...you..." He said quietly, almost in awe.

Taban moved in casually, glancing and shooting a cocky smirk to the young lioness he had spoken with earlier.

Ryugen
Ramses looks up, still looking rather shell shocked at the revelations that have gone on, ears perked slightly. They'd been going to seek out Maji and Taban, but here they were....wonderful. Maybe they'd be able to get their heads around this better than he had.

"UNCLE MAJI SHE'S A PRINCESS!" Sekhmet yelled, jumping to her feet, though this seems unessisary as an anouncement given the older lions reaction, though she certainly recovers better than her father, having a bit of 'other' business of her own to atend to, stalking toward Taban purposefuly, tail whipping from side to side. Although she's not as far grown as he is, she's still heavier with her true lion blood, and seems to know it. "What are YOU smirking at?" She demands as she walks toward him. "Quit it!" She follows up, whinging cuff at the obnoxious smile on his whiskery face.

TormentedAngie
Masika kept her stance, but her lean muscles tightened visibly, ready to leap out of the way, or whatever she would have to do if she were attacked. Remaining silent, her crystalline blue eyes stared at this newcomer, unsure of what to think of him. The cheetah behind him was another stranger, and one she wasn't sure whether to be wary of or not.

While her body stayed still, her facial expression did not. Ears slowly flattened against her head, her eyes narrowing slightly. She didn't look overly aggressive, but enough to hopefully warn the lion and his friend to keep his distance.

A glance to Ramses, and one to Sekhmet, caused the lioness to ease up, but not much. In fact, she winced slightly as the youngester squealed to the lion about how she was a princess. But it amused Masika as she saw her give the cheetah a good whack. Definately a fiery one, that she was. Returning her gaze upon Maji, she waited.

Thalion
Princess..., Maji's expression darkened at the word, slowly turning to the new lioness in question. Princess... there'd been one self-proclaimed princess through these lands once before. As a cub until his mane had come in he had served her, swore himself to her, loved her, and gave her a family... Princess indeed.

However... this lioness was familar. All too familar. He'd spent his life in these caves. Every tale, every marking, every drawing of every pride member of the past was as real to him as the stones he stood on or the breath he drew. He knew those markings, that color though it was warn a bit more on the walls.

He stepped forward slowly, lifting his head as he inspected the newcomer, circling her to take in the rest of the markings he hadn't seen right off. "The winds do bring in the strangest things these days." He mused out loud, slowly looking between the picture on the wall and the new lioness, "Sometimes I think they mock us... Might I be so forward as to ask your name, Madam?"

Taban let out a shriek as the paw met with his face, earning the lioness another dangerous glare from him.... his mother had taught him not to strike females, especially those of an ally pride... it was still none the less insulting and the thought wasn't exactally far from his mind.

The mantle along his neck and shoulders bristled as he glared daggers at the young lioness, breathing slowly to calm his temper. "...I might have found a certain loud mouth's outburst amusing..."

Ryugen
Sekhmet drew herself up with righteous indignation at this, brilliant eyes flashing as she raised her paw to give him another -rap-, this one over the head.
"Don't be such an Yam Head!" She hissess, angrily. "My Brother is gone and our Princess came back! Now's not the time to be loling around like some kind of addled honey badger!"
What an lump....even if he had a proper mane she could take him on easily, she reasoned. His speed was all fine and wonderful on open terain, but even in the draught dry jungles, there was just too much there for him to get up to speed, making his boasts overly cocky, and still inapropriate by her estimation anyway.
"You're so hopeless. You're -never- going to get a mate." She accused, turning her attention back to Masika, her Uncle and Father.

Ramses huffed slightly under his breath at the interactions between Sekhmet and Taban, rediculous pair of children that they were....if you could -really- call them children anymore. SHe still felt like his child though, she'd always be his little girl, fragile and tiny and newborn, even when she was as strong and proud as Masika, who's answer he waits on, though he already has heard the answer.

TormentedAngie
Masika wasn't amused with this sort of scrutiny. She should've expected it, all things considered, but that didn't mean she liked it in the LEAST. A wary and unpleased look upon her face trailed the blu-ish grey lion as he wandered around her, the tip of her tail lashing slightly. She could see the others were no problem at the moment, but this one was close enough to reach out and strike if he wished.

When asked her name, Masika's light tone was no more. Instead, the timbre of her voice was slightly more flat, a little more irksome. "My name is Masika." A simple answer for a simple question.

Thalion
The cheetah sputtered, catching himself on his paws though he nearly face-planted in the ground after the twap. Growling, he wiped at his maw a bit to clear he bit of slobber that had escaped his mouth from the unexpected bonk to the head, glaring daggers after the twit of a female. "I do not -need- a mate!" He snapped after her, the tip of his tail lashing sharply. "In fact I-"

"Please." Maji glanced over to the cheetah, shaking his head. It wasn't time for childish bickering though it was amusing enough for all parties present.

He looked back over to the female, taking a cautious seat in front of her, his own posture rolled back to display that he, too, was not exactally a slouch in the strength department if the female turned out to be hostile. "Your markings... and name." He nodded to the wall, "Can you read those?"

Ryugen
"Baby." Sekhmet snorted, with another threatening wave of her paw as she turned her attention back to Maji and Masika, eyes flashing with an certain confidence that the grey lioness would be able to read what she was asked. Surely this was proof that they were -not- abandoned, that no god of anything good would allow a good people to be destroyed by darkness and corruption...

Ramses himself perks his ears with curiosity, though a bit less certain. He'd been so young when he'd been taken he'd had to learn the writing and reading after he'd come here, knowing of it only from his mothers stories, and he'd then had no interest to learn anything from her, since all his life he'd been certain she was delusional and mad, gentle....but mad.

TormentedAngie
Masika stared at the stranger, eyeing him up, and weighing his demands to herself. It wasn't polite to demand things of a lady, no matter what her rank was, be it princess, huntress, outcast or nanny. However, a lady also knew when to stir up trouble about such things, and when to deal with them at a later date. This, perhaps, would be one of them. Her posture was collected, her shoulders rolled back slightly, but not aggressively.

She chanced a moment to glance back to the wall he gestured at, mulling over it for a moment...

-------------------------------------------------------------------

"Past, present and future, little one. All of it is on this wall before you." Kunge beamed down at her single child, a daughter of soft mousy grey coloring, crystalline eyes opening for the first time, wide to the world around her. "The past is written already, for us to read to you now."

"The present, we now draw for you to read later..." Nyunya smiled down upon his treasure, his little princess, as he drew her image upon the wall between his beloved queen's and his own images.

"And the future rests here, unseen by us all, waiting to be written by you, my daughter." Licking her daughter's inquisitive face, the queen snuggled her daughter close.

"Masika, this is your everlasting mark on the wall, one that will never be erased for as long as the Mistweavers reside upon these lands. Never forget who you are, and where you come from, my sweet, for you are a part of these lands, and will never feel as if you truly belong anywhere else." Raking a strong, sharp claw through a darker color of paint, the King added on the cubs markings to the image, then sat back to admire his handiwork. Pleased with it, as he was his shining star, Nyunya smiled. "Remember always, who you are..."

-------------------------------------------------------------------

The silvery lioness stared at the wall for what seemed like hours, but only a moment or so later, she turned to Maji and the others and nodded. "He is the King, Nyunya. My father. And she is the Queen, Kunge, my mother. And that little one... was me, when I first opened my eyes. They waited till I could see for two reasons. So that I could see as they drew me on the wall, and so they knew what color eyes I would have, to finish the image out." Flicking her tail slightly, Masika waited to see if they would believe her, or if they would deem her a liar.

Thalion
Maji listened quietly, glancing to the writing on the wall as well, the drawings, the names listed there. She was right... not even Ciyari, the false 'queen' of the lands had known how to read, had known the name of the former rulers which would only be known to those of the true former blood or those that could read. His eyes fixed on the figure of Nyunya, his father as well...as Enki had explained. Maji had never met him, Enki had known him as a cub, his uncle, and Maji bore striking resemblence to the lion...even much of the former king's markings. Enough, at least, to have been tackled by the over-enthusiastic lion at the time.

He nodded slowly eventually, turning to face the lioness, "Masika then I would assume." He ducked his head politely, "Please... forgive the rudeness... this land is not accustomed to housing hardly anyone worthy of anything that remotely resembles manners in recent days unfortunately." He lifted his head, shaking out his mane a bit, "My name is Maji... son of Katibu....and the late Nyunya..." He cleared his throat, "This wall... is all I have known of my own past and that of the pride."

Taban rolled his eyes at the insult, sitting himself proudly upright, his head lifted up and his tail curled around all four of his paws. He looked very simular to the ancient feline statues of egypt and perhaps carried pride to think himself at the same level of the revered figures. This wasn't his pride afterall, he wasn't obligated to duck his head. Only to his noble father and honerably mother... they were, afterall, the weavers of his pride. Allys yes, respected allys that deserved respect, yes, but humility wasn't lightly given by a spider.

Ryugen
Learning the hard way was a trait evidently shared between the "Wise Fool" and his subject, Taban, but if Humility wasn't lightly given by the vain little cheetah boy....neither was the swing from Sekhmet's swift black paw terribly light. She swings to give him another slam to the head, this one to drop his head down and keep a paw there to enforce a bow as she lowers her own head respectfuly, though her red eyes shoot Taban a poisonous look that promises that any attempts to move the heavy weight of her foot will involve unsheathing her claws, refusing to let him disrespect a soul so long lost.

Ramses ducked his own head slightly, eyes wide. To have it confirmed that beyond all hope the lost true queen of the Mistweavers was standing among them...even in his dark mood it was an spark of something like hope. Perhaps they had -not- entirely been abandoned by the Storm God? Perhaps there was yet hope.

TormentedAngie
Masika blinked slightly, taken aback by the sudden bowing gestures made by each of them. Her mouth opened slightly as if to say something, but words would not come. Brows furrowed, the young lioness was speechless. Maji's words of his parentage fell on deaf ears, unheard by her. If she had heard... well, her reaction probably wouldn't have been a good one. But due to the sudden bowing of those before her, the princess was rendered speechless.

(sorry so short, I'm exhausted x.x

her facial gestures look like this though xd lalala)

Thalion
"Blasted female!" Taban squirmed from underneath the lioness' paw, quite a task even he had to admit, ducking himself out of the forced bow. "It's hardly good manners of any sort to go boxing around an ally pride's messenger like some kind of over-sized cub!" He ran a paw along his mantle, muttering under his breath something to the effect of stunting the growth of his 'mane' even further.

Maji ignored the antics, his ears folding back slightly at the noise the two were making as he turned slightly towards the rest of the caves. How would things change now? Ciyari's arrival had caused quite the stir and the rest of the pride had accepted her as their queen because he had asked them to, and because she boasted a lineage of the purest blood...they'd all been deceived as well. Many of them looked to the males for leadership. Over time, Enki, Ramses, and Maji had formed kind of a three-way guardianship over he lands though three males were hardly enough to keep the lands free of the parasites hopping in for the purposes of using their lands as a breeding ground.

He roused himself from his thoughts with a shake of his mane, frowning down to his paws quietly. He would be lying to say he didn't harbor some... distaste for the situation... but since he was a cub he had hoped for some kind of reunion with his family...

Ryugen
"Oh stuff it." Sekhmet snapped. "You're hardly an example of good manners you wrung out peacock!" She unsheathed her claws just slightly as she snorted in warning. "Be polite or I'll yank your 'mane' out by the roots and then you'll -really- slink around like a spider!"

Ramses lifted his head again to glance to Maji and his incredulity, flicking an ear slightly. Masika had a certain degree more credibility than Maji's former mate, who'd fled as soon as she'd become preganant, but he could understand the distrust in Maji's eyes. The caution and fear of betrayal, though Masika also hadn't asked to be bowed to....
They needed something to beleive in so very badly, but could she be trusted to be that thing?

Thalion
Maji lifted his head up, catching Ramses' eyes with his own and smiling quickly. A weak smile but one none the less. The silver lion rose to his feet clearing his throat, "I'm sorry, we've been terribly rude. You must be exhausted... let me show you to somewhere you can rest and get something to drink. I'll join the hunters tonight and perhaps we'll be fortunate enough to bring something back that'll suffice."

Taban sighed, rolling his eyes. "Fine fine..." he ducked his head slightly, curling a paw under his chest, "Highness forgive my rudeness... and for interrupting the discussion between the prince and yourself. On behalf of the Anansi I welcome you."

TormentedAngie
Masika blinked, still a bit shell shocked from the entire bowing incident. It took a moment before she was able to shake her head a bit to clear it. "That, that would be nice." To Taban, the silver lioness nodded. And as she gracefully rose to her feet, something came to mind.

"Two lions came with me. A brown male, with only half a mane in adult hood, and a largish grey and black male with red eyes and strange markings upon his body. I almost forgot them in my haste, and left them in my dust as I went to track the moving shadow that ended up being Sekhmet. I... don't want them to be wandering around wondering where I am...."

Maji paused in his step, tilting his head back slightly. "You brought others..." Well it made sense. If she was the true princess here she'd have her own knights. Ciyari had Hodari and himself, she had two others though... a male with a half-mane brought back memories of that damnable Tanaka and his wench of a mate. He winced inwardly, hoping in silence that the male wasn't the same. "Taban, Sekhmet- would you be so kind as to seeking these lions out and showing them the way here? It's rude to have a guest run back when they've only just arrived..."

"It would be my pleasure." The cheetah tipped his head respectfully, "Though is it nessicary to send two of us?"

"You're quick and she knows this jungle well. It would save us and them time." Maji replied calmly.

Ryugen
"I could go alone..." Sekhmet snorted, eyeing Taban irritably, though at least it would get the rude little b*****d away from the group before her father finaly stirred to his own rage. "Lets go then..." These males shouldn't be -too- difficult to handle, though the colors of Grey and Black make her think of her mother, and wonder if maybe Laana had sired others without her father knowing, but the chances were slim, she reasoned, though her interest was desidedly perked to see this stranger.

-

Ramses stiffens slightly at the idea of his daughter and Taban facing two strangers -alone-, turning a sharp look to Maji. "Can these two be trusted? If they attack my daughter because they can't find Masika...." His voice drops slightly into a deep protective rumble.

Thalion
Maji paused, considering this. It was true, though both Taban and Sekhi were capable, two adult lions were more than a match for a young lioness and cheetah. "Very well... take along Kisulisuli and Enki as well. The four of you should be able to fare well enough if they prove to be hostile." He looked over to Ramses, "Is this acceptable? If not I can escort them myself and you can show her highness somewhere she can rest."

Taban flicked his tail, a bit insulted though he knew it was probibly true. He wasn't a large 'lion' and two adults would be difficult if they proved hastey, "Woudln't it be appropreate for the prince to show the princess around? I was under the impression that's how things ran in the overworld as well."

TormentedAngie
A velvety voice behind them all, though still wary of her surroundings and the others in the vacinity, piped up softly.

"They will not harm you, except perhaps verbally. Kitwana, the one with the half-mane, has lived the same live I have, and is a fair bit more bitter than I about it all. He had been older when taken as a firekin slave, and a fair bit older than I when we escaped. But if it wasn't for him, I would not be here now. It's him who kept me alive till we made it to the pridelands. Treat him with caution, but make him feel like he will not be enslaved, for that is his biggest fear." Already acting in a royal fashion, Masika spoke highly of her companion, though he may not speak kindly of her.

"Of his own companion, the grey one with the strange markings, I know not much. However, the big oaf seems to be kind-hearted, seeing what could be, instead of what is, or what would be. In this jungle he saw green, he saw life, not the decaying and death that is, or will be coming. He stays with Kitwana, though I know not of their ties to one another. I assume he is a lost soul, as I was, clinging to Kit for a slim thread of reality and comfort." Nodding to the others, she stood up. "As long as you treat them with respect, and set aside the unkind comments that may stem up from Kitwana, I dare say they won't attack unless given a reason to." With that, she padded to the entrance, to await whomever would be joining her.

Ramses snorted loudly at Taban, affronted by the cheetah cubs arrogance in trying to tell them what to do.
"Perhaps if we had a -mistweaver- prince at hand then we might consider it, but asking an outsiders price to escort our own princess." He points out, reminding Taban that for all his open arrogance he is not a Mistweaver, and these are not his lands.
"....I think we can gamble perhaps to see if these two can be trusted as Masika says...Sekhmet is capable enough, and she can climb a bit. Enough to get away I think."

Sekhmet pulled herself up with Pride at her fathers mention of her skill. Crude as it was, she had confidence that he was right and that she'd be able to make her way up a tree fast enough to keep safe from these two strangers if they prooved a threat.

Taban sighed, "I was talking about Maji... last I was informed he was the prince here. Unless I've heard wrong." He rubbed at one of his ears with the flat of his paw a bit, "Which I'm quite sure I hadn't. To make mistakes is mortal I suppose."

Maji nodded, "I trust you Sekhemet... and if you can perhaps you can show the Anansi princeling some manners... we can't have our guests being insulted."

Taban flattened his ears at the scolding from both adults, sinking down nearly into a crouch, "My apologies."

Maji nodded and motioned to Ramses and the newcomer, "Come... I'll show you to the inner caves. I've taken the liberty of keeping up with the history from when I was made aware, there's a lot I'm sure you'd like to learn."
