Local newspaper gave it ZERO STARS (the first time I've ever seen such a rating given by these critics--even the dreadful House of Wax remake which the paper acknowledged as nothing more than filler before Revenge of the Sith came out in theaters received a two-out-of-four rating)! New York Times said the most entertaining thing about the film before the violence is seeing how the dubbing does not match with the lips.
I never planned on seeing the film anyway; Lion's Gate originally wanted to distribute the film uncensored and with subtitles, but that idea never came about so the voices were dubbed and the film was cut to receive an R-rating.
However, if you are dying to see a French slasher film with obvious Argento influence, I'd suggest Deep in the Woods, perhaps the best post-Scream slasher to date. Deffinitely worth one's time and money.

The did!? Wow, how poor and unexperienced must the film distributors and/or marketers be if they give away something that is obviously the ending in a commercial and/or trailer. An unexcuseable action, I must say.

Yeah, they did give away the ending in the commercial. That ending made me so mad. It was a great movie until the end. It did nothing but create endless plot holes. However, it's a really good film for gore and tension, hence the name.

Well I bought and watched it this tuesday when it came out unrated. I loved it granted the twist wasn't needed, it was there. After thinking about the film and watching it for a second time, it all made sense, except for one of the first scene's where we first see the "killer" with the girl. It doesn't fit in anywhere except for just shock value. Also I didn't think it was that scary, but it was still great

They should have kept the title "Switchblade Romance", i find it better suiting then high tension.
