His heart was pounding in his chest, as his hooves hit the ground with loud stomps. He snorted, and tried to gain more speed, jumping in the air. He fancied being airborne. But he never really knew how an eagle felt.
How a Pegasus felt. He shook his head. No matter. What he was doing was good enough for him. He let out a loud whinny, and continued running, letting his dark mane blow in the wind, and his masked face feel the sun.

Like a bird the young winged mare resembling her mother watched things around her as quaintly as a little hawk. Perking bher ears she noticed a stallion that ... was he trying to fly she wondered? Smiling she tossed her head and whinnied just high enough he'd hear her.
Curiousity was teaming in her lithe legs so much she just had to trot over and meet someone after her own heart. For even without wings he still looked very persistant to keep trying his very best. Moving like liquid blue fire she neared tow ard him and smiled, "Hello there."

The stallion raced, until he heard the whinny. The whinny that sounded so very mare, and so close. He stopped dead in his tracks, and his ears perked. He snorted, and looked around, but he didnt see much.
He was going to continue, and one of the most beautiul mares he had ever seen was in front of him.
He offered a lopsided smile, and blushed a bit, but quickly regained his composure. He bowed a bit in a greeting.
"Why hello there."

Nitika held in her giggle though he was quite charming in his abrupt halt. Bowing her well set head she smiled at him. "Hello once again. Did I notice you were trying to fly?" she asked with a cute bright eyed gaze letting her purple eyes sit upon his well made coat.
Flicking her tail it fluttered back and forth set nicely in her tail wrap she inherited from The Lady Saissis her mother. Long and watery almost in the teals and purple like the swishing of the ocean.

Micah smiled, and took in her beauty. Her lovely blue toned body, that had rippling muscles that glided as she spoke and moved. Her lovely purple teal mane and tail that he wondered if it was as soft as it looked. He gave a snort, and a bit of a huff. How rude it was to see her that way when she had merely said hello. He should be ashamed.
He gave thought to her previous question. Was he flying? No. Was he trying? God yes, and he would give anything to fly. He blushed a bit, knowing that she could fly. Her wings would carry her, and she had witnessed him wanting to fly, and never even really floating.
"Ah..Yeah I was. Im a bit of a goof. Do excuse me."
He gave a bow.
"My name is Micah. Might I have the honor of knowing your name?"

She bowed her head in a wave as pleasent as the ocean with the perfect grace her mother bestowed upon her and Tansy. In any meeting it was proper and just to always be polite and delicate, unless the meeting turned for worse and harbored ill feelings. This meeting in feeling and reading his emotions was neither dark nor unpleasent, so it was in her best interest to be the most curtious mare that she could.
"I'm Nitika. That's what my mother named me since I came from my basket." she smiled with a light laugh. "Don't put yourself down because you can't do something. I know a bunch of Soquili that reside like you in your hooves. But you know dreaming isn't that bad either." she winked with a shuffle of her feet letting her mane rise and fall ever so gently.
Gazing at him her mane fell over her eyes gradually with light shimmering off her strands of sil it seemed. Tansy got more of her mother's look yet Nitika wasn't ashamed in that. excluding the height factor when she stood beside her mother, a mirror reflected from both sides.

Micah looked at the divinely blue mare, and he nodded. He knew more Soquili's that couldnt fly than he knew of ones who could. He gave a hearty laugh, and smiled at her, his golden eyes gleaming. He dark chocolate mane blew in the wind, allowing the green feathers to rustle in his hair like they wanted to do so often, and never had the chance.
He wondered if she looked like her mother. He looked like his mother. He was oddly almost exactly the same, except for an exception here and there.
"Well Nitika, it is a pleasure to meet you."
He gave her his charming smile.
"Do you live here?"

She looked to the skies more lighter shade than her own ocean swept hued coat. "Why yes" she retuned his answer w ith an adoring gentle smile, " I was born here with my sister and brother. My mother and father aren't from around there though." She sensed the cold inching closer, still a few weeks off till its full arrival.
"And what of yourself?" she motioned her head to loof directly into those golden orbs, "Are you native to this land as well?" Flexing her wings in a ladylike nature she stretched them delicately while conversing with him. Ever since the first days of learning flight her wings demanded a stretch now and then to keep them from growing stiff.

Micah offered a friendly smile and shook his head.
"No, alas I am not. Though it would be lovely to say I was from such a lovely place such as this, that is home to lovely mares such as you. I was born in the mountains. I didnt live there long though.. My parents weren't the most 'nurturing'. I left with my two-legger not long after emerging from my basket, so in all honesty, my mother is Anusha."
He stopped before he could tell her his whole story. He tended to ramble a bit.

She listened to his story as it nutured her in knowledge and contentment.
Her own birth came by w ay of the accompanyment of a single stallion and a brave little ferret. Her mother's raccon was also there to coach through the birthing. Her brother and father had long since taken off for the skies, as Tansy stayed with another herd far off from her own. In a sense Nitika had only her mother now whom she loved deeply with much respect.
"You don't have to stop if you'd like to continue. I like hearing stories of other's pasts unless they are a burden they carry instead of a cherished blessing. Since dad and Chevyo took to the skies its been lonely here. Even my own mother longs to search for them." she said with a little nod of her head. Strangely though she looked a bit saddened by the thought of her mother leaving as well.
"By speaking from your memories you decide what is good and what is bad. It actually will guide you in the right direction if you simply listen to what it is speaking." She smiled once more letting the sadness wash away. Always the little mare had a way with doing this. She supposed it was inherited from her mother. But possibly it may of been her father as well.

Micah gave her a soft smile. He wished he had fond memories of his family, but the fact was, the only memories he thought of, gave him anger and despair. He looked at the mare, and knew she had to have a wonderful bond with her mother.. If only he had had a bond with Tetyawna. He loved her so much, but what could you do? He couldnt stand to be with his sister, Awnae, anymore.
"Nitika, forgive me if I am too bold, but might I ask that, you.. Well.. The fact is, I think you are the most beautiful mare I have ever laid eyes upon, and I do beleive you would be very good for my past. I have, in the past, thought I found love, and have merely found mares who left me for dead. Please do forgive me if I offended you.."

Nitika was honored to be told of such things but yet felt a bit embarrassed at that moment. As a chilled wind slipped by them she shivered a bit but yet stood firm and elegant.
"We've only just graced each other's presence though. It takes time to determine and know when you.. umm well you'll know who is right and such" she murmered pawing the ground a bit trying not to be too forward.
Tossing her head she smiled though for her upbringing was of her mothers. beautiful, eloquent, and overall polite.

He blushed a bit. He knew that it took time, he wasnt asking for a mate, just that, maybe she could court him for awhile. They could get to know each other by courting, and maybe he could win such a fair filly's heart. He stuttered, trying to find the words to dismiss the rejection.
"Ah-Ah yes. B-but by all means it takes time. Only, I was thinking, of
b-being friends, and maybe..." he took a large gulp of air.
"Courting.."

Akward. She didn't know what to say. After simply passing a few words fact of "courting" came into play. Which she knew she wasn't ready for. While yes she was an adult an all it seemed like yesterday her wings first tasted flight, she wanted to know more about the world before she made any permanent decisions.
"Well courting is like dating is it not? I know this is a bit sudden but I'd prefer the friends route. I'm still young in my eyes and need to consider something before I leap. Otherwise you end up with brambles in unmentionable places and things clinging to your wings."
This made her chuckle a little but yet sad. She didn't want him to think she was being too stern but in the meantime felt it was the best route to follow .

Denied. He shook his head. My he was a stupid stallion after all. He gave the mare a smile, and nodded. He knew where she was coming from, friends were great. He just usually loved too hard. He playfully nudged her with his muzzle, and spoke again, hoping not to make a fool of himself yet again.
"Oh dear, I do apologize. But I love my friends, so why not adda nother?"
