~Testing Fate’s Bonds~
Tahmores slowly wandered into the open area of the valley. He gazed around the wide area with alert eyes, bandages still wrapped around his wing. Despite it being near fully healed, the human he was staying with wanted the bandages to stay on until his wing had time to fully heal and strengthen before he attempted to fly again. Tahmores didn’t complain. He knew that if it wasn’t for the human and Howl his wing would be useless. Now he knew that he might have a good chance to fly on it again, but only after it had time to heal on its own.
Sighing, he started to wander towards the middle of the Valley when a flash of white caught this eye. Tahmores looked to the side to see a large Aeri wandering around the Valley, too. This Aeri wasn’t like the one taking care of him. He was covered with what looked like bones and had a blue mane, tail and wings with a dark brown body. The splotchy-colored Jala gazed at the other Nequus for a few seconds before he noticed the other male staring at him. Tahmores’s body stiffened up slightly as he watched the Aeri wander over to him until the large male turned slightly and started wandering away from him.
What Tahmores didn’t know was that the Aeri was blind and couldn’t tell if there was another Nequus around. Thinking he was safe to move onward, he took a few steps towards the center of the Valley again. It was then that the Aeri stopped. "Who goes there?" asked the Aeri in an eerily soft voice. Tahmores stopped in his tracks and turned his head around to see the other male. "Just a lowly Nequus on his way towards the other side of the Valley," Tahmores replied to the Aeri’s question.
