Elu had been gone for days, far longer then Taraneh had ever expected her to be. Taraneh had a sneaking suspicision that Elu had found someone...and was now spending most of her time with him. Her eyes twinkled at the prospect. Elu had finally moved on from that wretched incident in the forest and Taraneh was happy for her, but they had better not have done anything. Elu may be the older sister but she should still run things by her sister afterall they were siblings.
She had only seen Elu once after they had split to look for food and she had been alarmed at how Elu seemed to be so cut up but Elu had dismissed it and merely told her that she would be busy for a while. Taraneh had let it go, Elu hadn't seemed to be stressed or otherwise distracted. But a week was lng enough. Taraneh couldn't take it any longer, the thought of her sister doing something without her, made Tara ravenous with curiosity. She set out in search of her sister, her curiosity tugging at her way too much for her to ignore it.
Elu nudged Aion, "Hey, we may have a bit of a problem." She whispered, he was probably still asleep, the past few days were used entirely for recuperating. Elu had left for brief intervals, to get food and once to check in on her sister. He waited for him to wake up a bit, "You know I have a sister, right?" She continued before he could interrupt, "Well, I checked in with her a while ago and if I know her like I think I do, she's on her way here. Her curiosity always gets the best of her and she must be dying to know why I've been gone so much." She sighed and lay down next to him, "We should expect a visit from her soon enough." She glanced at him and gave a lop-sided smile, "Welcome to the joys of my family."

"Errhn." Aion groaned as his sleep had been disturbed due to Elu's nudge. Frowning lightly, he turned his head away from her and tried to once again drift into that oh so calming slumber. Sighing as she began to talk of some sort of problem...great. There went his plan to sleep the rest of the day away...even though that was all he had been doing these past few days. Shifting his head back to gaze at her as she laid back down beside him, another, more annoyed groan escaped his lips. "Your sister? Just tell her to bug off, its not like it should be her buisness what you do."
Only twice had he left the spot under the tree for one to stretch his legs and two to go and get a drink of water. Otherwise, he had been in this same spot for the past three days. The petals had dried and fallen off, having sped up the process of healing as his wounds were now scars...the ones on his shoulder and paw having healed up as if they never happened. However...his face wasn't so lucky. The three long gouges never grew the fur back, left with three hideous looking scars stretching from his head to jawline, one being right over his eye which he still had yet to open. If anything..it made him look even scarier than before. Huffing, he turned his head to the side with a moddy look, "I hate these hidden attachments..."

Taraneh sang softly as she trotted along the edge of the temple, she had already checked inside it-well, most of it anyway. But that was beside the point, she still needed to find Elu and her Beau. She snickered inwardly, despite the fact that Elu had been gone for days, it was difficult to imagine someone finally getting Elu to express her feelings. Her tiny wings fluttered as she hummed, rounding another turn on the temple. He began to sing softly, in the hopes that Elu would come out from where ever she was hiding.
Elu headbutted him gently at the bugging her sister off remark, "I told you when we first met! We're close, because of that reason and I've been really out of character lately, at least to her." She looked at him coolly, "You should have guessed anyway, since when does a girl come without any baggage?" She chuckled at stretched, yawning. The past few days had been...educational to say the least. She'd learned a lot more about the black male who called himself Aion and she wondered if he had learned much about her, they had been asleep most of the time. She looked at him sideways, that long gashes on his face painfully obvious. She nosed his chin, "Hey, how're your wounds?" She asked, she knew she had asked that a lot, but she was allowed to, he was still healing. She didn't care how he looked, she just wanted to know he was alright.

"Hmph. Still. You don't see me going around with this extra bagg.......nevermind." Aion shut up rather quickly, his snap losing its meaning as he realised that he didn't have any 'baggage' of family for a reason. Shifting so lift his head off the ground, he folded one white paw over the other and sat up tall. Lowering his eyelid halfway as she nudged his chin, he tilted his head to gaze at her as she was on his right afterall. "I'm fine...my eye hurts though." He commented, get didn't seem to want to make a fuss about it.
Even as his body continued to heal, his eye continued to throb like the wound had just happened. Aion dare not open his eye, for fear of what would happen if he did. Yet he didn not let any of what he felt show, as his ears perked suddenly as he looked to his left easily pinpointing the sound. Luckily for him, the enterance to the courtyard was to his left, the good side. "I think she's here. I hear singing." He spoke in those same dark tones, a hint of displeasure in their undertones yet it was barely noticeable.

Taraneh continued singing their favorite song, it was a little ditty they had made up when they were still pups and no one but they knew its meaning,
"...May the shadows that sleep and dream alone... ...in naught but fear, be filled with light..."
Her ears perked as she entered the courtyard, she peered ahead of her caught sight of a familiar figure lying near an unfamiliar one. She could recognize Elu anywhere, her spotted rump was unique and was the source of constant teasing between the two of them. With a joyous yelp she leapt forward, running toward the two, though her gaze was too focused on Elu to really concentrate on the male figure, "Elu!"
Elu raised herself up as her sister raced toward them, looking sideways at Aion, "Behave you, she's your sister now." she warned, amusement sparkling in her eyes. That was all she was able to say before her sister slammed into her, knocking her onto the ground. "Tara!" She managed as her sister nuzzled her affectionately, "Was that required?" she didn't really mind being knocked over, it was good to see her sister again, even though it hadn't been that long. Her sister growled playfully, "You've been gone for forever!" Elu laughed, "Not forever, just a few days!" She touched noses with her sister and smiled, "Still good to see you though."
Taraneh grinned, Yup! But why--?" She caught sight of Aion and stopped speaking, looking him over gravely. Then she turned back to her sister, "This him?" She asked, winking at her sister, "Is he the reason you haven't been with me lately?" She circled both of them, inspecting. Elu blushed but smiled still, "I guess you could say that." She laughed. Tara shook her head, "Finally, Elu! Geez, I thought you'd never settle down." She butted her sister gently and looked at Aion, "He treating you right, Elu?" She asked, directing her question at her sister, looking at him suspiciously. Those scars on his face made her suspicious, Did he get into a lot of fights? Was he going to drag Elu into them? Her tiny wings fluttered in distress at the thought.

"Oh god..." Aion flattened his ears and winced at such a loud screech Tara made before bounding into Elu. A sigh escaped his vocals, narrowing his eyes at the ground as he decided he wasn't going to speak untill he absolutely had to. Besides...Elu told him to be nice and as the saying goes; he didn't have anything nice to say. Huffing lightly, he closed his eye and shook his head, did she not remember what he did to his sibling? He thought it would be best to just be strangers, only connected through Elu...yet it seemed he was a little too late to resign from the mate status now.
Oh god, she's clingy too. Wonderful...now he would have to deal with both of these female on a regular basis, he thought miserably. Elu he could handle, yet he was positive he would surely go deaf with Tara about. Upon the motion towards him, Aion finally looked up to the bird like Maluess with a rather blank expression. Frowning lightly, Aion muttered something along the lines of 'you should be asking me that..' as he was well on the receiving ends of all the batts and headbutts as of late. He was kind of curious how Elu was going to explain to her sister about him, would she mention his god? His attitude? Or would she make him out to be a peachy-keen male who did nothing but nurture wounded animals and spread love and joy? Aion couldn't help the dark chuckle that snuck out from his lips at the mere thought of it.
However, when his sights picked up that Tara was staring at his scars, her wings twitching with god-knows-what running through her mind...Aion merely huffed and turned his face away from her. Setting his head on the around between his paws as he attempted to hide his new disfiguration.

Tara raised a brow, "Quite the talker, ain't he?" She whispered to her sister, grinning. Elu laughed and shook her head, "He'll talk eventually." She replied, looking down at him with a raised brow, at least he wasn't going after her. Tara still looked at him with a raised brow, "Not even an introduction?" She asked, cocking her head towards her sister. If the male was going to be stand-offish and rude her she was going to give him the same medicine.
Elu sighed, These two are bit too similar in this then I think they know She tried to patch whatever hole had formed, "Tara, this is Aion, Aion, Tara." She turned and looked at her sister, "You behave, Tara, he's your brother-in-law now." Oops. Not the smartest time to say that...She smiled sheepishly, hoping her sister would disregard that fact. She didn't.
For a single second, Tara thought Elu was joking and she opened her mouth to tell her that the joke wasn't that funny and then she really looked at her sister. She was far more...confident was the best word for it, as if she was home and quite content. "...What?" she whispered, eyes wide with surprise and disbelief, "...did you just--? No, you're joking, right?" She turned and glared at Aion before leadin her sister away a bit, "Elu, what are you talking about? We've only been here for a week and a half! How-how could you-? You hardly know the guy!" She couldn't believe her sister had actually gotten a mate in such a short time.
Elu shrugged her shoulders, "Don't ask me, I don't know either." Her voice dropped lower and she glanced away, "I...I just want to be with him." She looked at her sister gravely, "Like how you were with Perault."
Tara let out a low hiss, "Don't speak of him." she growled, golden eyes flashing with anger. She didn't want to remember him, ever. Elu sighed and nodded, "Yes, I know. But it's the same way you felt with him." Tara's eyes narrowed, How was that possible? In such a short time...how could she know him? How could he know her? She shook her head, there really was no point in argung if it had already happened. And she stepped back a bit and gave her a lop-sided smile, "I'm...happy for you." She said, her smile turning into a little smirk, "But do think seriously about it before giving me nieces and nephews." She chuckled. As expected Elu blushed like a cherry. "T-Tara!"
Tara laughed, "Let me have a word with him for a minute, okay?" and made her way back to Aion. She lay down in front of him making sure she had eye contact with his good eye, "Now you listen to me, brother," She whispered, her voice barely restrained from a growl, "I don't know you and you don't know me. Frankly, I don't care if you ever get to know me." Her lips curled a bit, "But if you ever hurt her forany reason," her eyes fairly glowed with an unspoken threat, "I will make sure you don't come back at all the same."
She smiled sweetly, "We'll just say continuing your lineage and the ability to walk will be beyond you." She rose and smiled at her sister, "Congradulations Elu, looks like you got yourself a guy." She moved until she could speak directly in her ear, "Does he happen to have a brother?" She asked coyly.
Elu shook her head, smiling. Tara was always the same...

Just don't speak. It'll work out better. Aion mumbled in his mind repeatedly, listening in on the girls chitter chatter about useless things like introductions. Aion knew this 'bird' was Elu's sister, and she was loud. Thats all he really needed to know, and she the same information as he had. Upone hearing Elu's slip up, a deep sigh escaped his lips...here it comes...
...and there it went. Studdering like an idiot, Aion kept his head down as he practically remained motionless. Feeling no need to join in with the conversation...afterall, Elu was the one that spoke first about her feelings. However, something else caught his ears...the name Perault. Scowering his brain for where he had the information, he found it when he remembered about Elu's story about a male getting inbetween those two. It seemed he was quite right when Tara got quite angered about it as he smirked...perhaps learning this little information, a name, will come in handy in the future. Yet it wasn't appropriate now...especially when she mentioned those filthy words, 'nieces and nephews.'. Shuddering lightly, Aion could barely stand the malu around here now...let alone little ones -related- to him. Yet it did cause the male to wonder....would his kids be like him?
Interrupted in his thoughts as tara suddenly appeared before him, as his gaze immediately hardened. This wouldn't be anything pleasant. As expected, Tara went on as if she was actually serious in her threats...he knew like her sister she probably was, yet she did not know to whom she was speaking with. As she stood and left, a low growl and an odd look overcame the male's eye as he abruptly stood and walked right after Tara. Since he was at such close range, he overheard the whisper quite clear and smirked. Brushing past Tara, he paused when he was shoulder to shoulder to Elu before looking back to the bird femme. "Not meaning to intrude, yet I did have a brother, Tara. Yet perhaps Elu can fill you in on just what happened to him, before you start making threats." He smirked, amused as he continued walking yet dragged his wing along Elu's back before walking over to the fountian once more - now clean of his blood.

Elu winced at the comment, Shouldn't have done that... Tara wasn't exactly known for being...she guessed the appropriate word to use was "forgiving". If you messed with her, hardly anyone came back in one piece. Tara stared after him, eyes narrowed, "No offense, Elu love but, your new mate rubs me the wrong way." She growled low in her throat, "And I know you can hear me, Aion darling," She called sweetly, "And I wasn't making a threat, I was merely telling you a fact. You hurt my sister and you know what will happen."
Elu sighed, she should have figured this, two strong personalities...they are a bit too alike in there combative ways and Elu briefly wondered what would have happened had Tara met Aion first...but no sense in dwelling on such things now. Besides, she had to concentrate to what Tara was talking about, something about her and the guys from their pack to go after someone... Elu sighed and butted her head into Tara's chest, "I know you two don't get along, and I doubt either of you ever will. But you're both stuck together now, whether you like it or not." She gave both her sister and mate stern looks, "So be nice." She ordered, her tone gaining a strangely firm and stone-like tone, indicating what she sad was not to be disobeyed.
Tara raised a brow at her sister, had she just told them to 'be nice'? In a tone that Tara had only heard from her mother? Tara shook her head, "Jeez, Elu, you've changed." She said, a faint smile flickering across her lips, "Not sure whether it's good or bad yet, though." She glanced over at Aion and her smile vanished, "Not sure about him either." Her small grey tail flicked in defiance, "Still no chance of you leaving?" She didn't really expect Elu to agree and leave him, she was too loyal for that, a quailty Tara admired in her sister.
She sighed and shook her head, "You always were a bit unique like that, Elu." She grinned, "Let's hope the family doesn't come visit anytime soon, your mate over there might be a little...overwhelmed." She chuckled softly at the thought of how their family would react to what Elu had done. The image was satisfying to her mind, helping her lose her anger toward the arrogant male...for a little bit.

Wincing as she called him 'darling' Aion grumbled moodily as he stalked off on his destination to the fountian. Looking up as he sighed, his paws treaded lightly to the fountian as he glanced behind him. Just who did she think she was? He would enjoy it very much if perhaps he took her for a little visit to his shrine, although different from her sister, he believed she would be just as startled as Elu was at the discovery. Aion would hate it if he had to tell Elu that he sister met the same fate as his brother so long ago.
Shaking his head at another warning from Elu to be nice, his eye gazed down to the water as he became perfectly still. Gazing at his reflection...both his eyes were open...yet he could not even tell the other was open. Leaning closer, his jaw dropped as his pupils and orange hue had been replaced with an eerie white...one which he could not see out of. Slowly his head swayed to and fro as he backed up, eyes wide in shock as he suddenly let out a painful cry. Slamming his paw to the ground as hard as he could, the male's body shuddered lightly as his head hung low. Growling, he knew he had paid a hefty price for Elu...yet he wouldn't have changed a thing. However, this still did not give him any council for his loss of sight in one eye, now left with a white orb which was useless to him. "God..." He hissed, knowing this had to be the work of his god...he always wasn't one not to make angry as it was the one reason he did almost anything his diety requested.

Elu's ear perked up immediately as she heard Aion's cry, instantly she was running toward him, Tara behind, though she didn't say anything, "Aion? Aion, what's wrong?" She asked, her own her lowered until it was next to his. She nudged him gently when he didn't immediately answer, "What's wrong?" she demanded in a firmer voice. Was he sick? Was he hurt again? Her dark eyes softened at him and she looked at her sister sternly when it appeared that she would make a comment about him. She couldn't see the right side of his face and had no way of knowing that her mate was now blind in one eye.
Tara watched her sister fuss over her mate, making sure she was out of the way. It looked like she really did love him and Tara gave a small sigh, somewhere in the back of her mind she had hoped this was just an infatuation and that it would pass, like many of her own crushes. But this was clearly not the case. With a resigned look, Tara lay down near enough to hear everything and protect her sister but far enough that should wouldn't be in the way. I guess I'm alone again...

At first, Aion did not hear a word Elu was saying as she ran over to his side. Consumed in his thoughts as he almost hoped that if he concentrated enough, he would be blessed with vision once again in his eye. However, he knew better to believe in foolish nonsence like that, the sound had caused his eye to form a protective shield of white to deflect infection to his open eye....he was never going to get his vision back. Feeling the gentle nudge of Elu, his eye turned to gaze at her, almost sad yet at the same time quite blank. Gazing down for a second, he sighed before turning his whole body to face her and Tara.
Putting on a rather fake smirk to show that he was still himself, Aion tilted his head lightly as he gazed to the pair...yet mostly Elu. "I lost my sight. Apparently it wasn't such a good idea to get between you and a jaguar's paw. Yet thats okay...I didn't need it anyways." Aion huffed, Lifting his head up, "How it'll be easier if anything to scare others off." His gaze shifted to Tara...noticing that she actually looked...quite sad and alone. Thinking for a moment, Aion sighed...he really was being to nice for his own damn good. "I'll...leave you two be. I'll go get something to eat." Aion nodded, turning his back and wandering over to the other side of the opening to where he had seen a few fruit trees erlier.

Elu may have only been with him for a few days but she could already tell when he was faking, that smirk was pathetic. "Aion..." She trotted after him and turned abruptly, head butting his shoulder, "Hey." She growled softly, "Wanna know something?" She avoided his eyes a bit, looking surreptiously at her sister, making a mental note to go comfort her after she finished with Aion, "You may have lost your sight in one eye, but the scars make you look very, very handsome." She winked at him lightly, "So don't be terribly sad, or else other females will be going after you to comfort you and I just can't allow that to happen." She gave him a quick nuzzle on the cheek, half-afraid he wouldn't accept the affetionate touch and trotted off back to her sister to see what was wrong with her. She understood he needed some alone time and was allowing him to get it.
Tara watched her sister whisper something to her mate but unlike Aion, she didn't listen in on the conversation, she was too caught up in her own thoughts. Perault... she shied away from the memories, they were far too painful to re-live especially not now. She was slightly surprised when Elu plopped down beside her and let out a soft sigh, "He'll be fine," She told Tara, knowing full well, Tara didn't really care. Tara shrugged, "Whatever." Elu shifted and lay her head on Tara's back, "Sorry, Tara, I didn't mean to bring those memories back." she apologized. Tara shrugged, "It's alright, I'm getting over it." Elu snorted, "If that's what you want to believe."
Elu grinned mischieviously at Tara, "Now, jsut to find you a mate..." Tara glared at her sister, "What? I'm quite happy being single, thank you!" Elu laughed, "He'll have to be strong-willed," She mused, "And handsome, you always like handsome." Tara mock-fumed, how dare she talk about her ideal mate! That wasn't even her business! "...intelligence too, don't want stupid babies..." Tara let out an exasperated sigh and allowed Elu to rattle on about Tara's perfect mate, leaving Tara very amused, like her ideal mate even existed.

"Ack!...Seriously, you're more of a threat to my health than the jaguar..." Aion mockingly frowned at her, yet kept observing as she avoided looking into his eyes. Rolling his eye slightly, he tilted his head as she spoke, yet nodded and allowed her to continue. "Humor me." As she began to talk, Aion thanked his mother for one thing...his black coat which allowed almost any blush to never appear through. Giving a sigh, he gave her a sideways glance as he spoke, "I swear, only a weirdo like you would say something like that. No other female would be crazy enough to try the stunt you pulled, Elu." He grinned, even as she nuzzled him he did not move untill she trotted back to her sister.
Tilting his gaze back up to the tree, he spotted a few apples hanging amongst the greenery. Crouching down he lept at the trunk, pushing off with his hooves to grap the branch with his mouth and hang from the branch. The motion shook a few apples off their stems as they fell to the ground, and contented, Aion dropped to the ground as well. Finding a large leaf, one by one he picked the apples up and placed them onto the leaf, using its long stem as a handle. Grasping the stem with his teeth, he proceeded to drag it over to there the two females sat as he pulled it right infront of them. Stepping around to Elu, he leaned his head down and returned the nuzzle from before...a way of thank you; for one would never hear those words from his mouth. Ever. Glancing to Tara, he seemed to notice something, then think for a moment, as if debating. Sighing, he gazed down at her with a tone which sounded funny as he tried to be 'nice'. "Tara...was it?....You have a spider on your tail." He commented plainly, before grasping an apple and laying a few meters away from the females.

Elu blinked at the abrupt touch and was even more surprised to see he ad brought back food for all of them. For himself she had expected for her? She had hoped, for Tara? She was pretty sure it was a miracle. She knew it was to good to be true when he told her she had a spider on her tail. There were very few things that could scare her. Spiders were one of them. Tara leapt up with a surprised shriek and spun around letting out loud "Get it off! Get it off!"s Elu sighed and reached out a paw to frce her sister down to the ground, "It's gone. You killed it in the first spin." she giggled softly, "Though your antics are quite a sight to see." She looked over at Aion and raised an eyebrow in question.
Tara glared at her sister, "You know I hate spiders." she growled, her dark cheeks hiding her embarassed blush. But she complied with her sister's silent order and lay down again, after making sure that there were no creatures with more then four legs within a twenty foot radius. She let out a sigh, "Sorry." She grumbled, "I know I was really loud back there...comes with dealing with loud brothers from an early age." She looked down at the apples and, after a cursory sniff to make sure they weren't poisoned, took a small bite of one.
