We are planning on putting one into effect very soon, and would like your opinions. They will be taken into consideration.
So far, we're thinking along the lines of "__ warnings gets you a ___-day ban.
Apparently, the drama in the guild has risen to a bad level. The mods are split on this topic. xD I'm at one extreme, Nymphie is at the other, and Meru is in the middle.
Help us out?

Hmmm. What I think is that yes, there is a need for some sort of system of control but, I don't think it should be used unless they really do something bad.

I'm rather mixed on the subject.
On one hand, we have the fact that drama is a part of this game. We wouldn't be who... no, what we are without it. Sure there is some unnecessary or over the top drama, but isn't that what we do? It's what keeps this game interesting. Because we all know we need more things to keep us entertained. Also, some people don't mean to start drama, but it happens. Then they would get unfairly removed. And, if some of the things are done in jest, then the mods might consider it bad drama and kick out both parties. So in some ways, I'm against it.
Yet, as I said above, most of the drama here is way too over the top. Some of the people here create it because they are bored. We need more of a crack down on all the unnecessary drama, the stuff that is started over small things that not many people care about. I agree that some of the drama has risen to a bad level. Especially if the people are considering quitting the guild over it. The last thing we need are more angry people.
So, I'm more towards the middle, but I support it. Only if he person is creating unneseccary drama. That means that it's over very trivial things. Or they are just being completely unreasonable, and need to be taken out to cool down. And, I think you need to talk to both sides before banning anyone, because some people might not have meant to start it. But that's a bit hard for 4 people, no? Gah... >.<
There's my opinion. Sorry if it didn't make sense. I think my brain may explode soon if I don't sleep.
EDIT: And as Monkey said, the inactivites that would be caused. It is unfair to the people that may not have meant it, or didn't know that it would cause this much strife to miss out on a game because they had a difference of opinion with someone that they took to an extreme level. They may have been breaking rules (What rules are they breaking, anyway?), but they still deserve to be able to play. This is a community game, not just for those without tempers.

We have discussed how the game needs drama 3nodding I consider the game and the guild two different things. Game drama is fine, imo. The game thrives on drama. Being mean, backstabbing, accusing, all that stuff is fine because its all in the way you play the game.
However, the D is a completley different story. Its the D drama that makes us feel the need for a system. Because the drama in there is unneeded and bad alot of the time.
Also, I feel if someone is flaming, or purposefully causing harmful drama they shouldn't have the right to play the game. If they want to play the game they shouldn't flame or disrespect others.

Most people here are reasonable enough that if you tell them to stop their drama they will.
I only support this in the times when there is someone like that Hamster fellow that was trying to cause drama and annoy on purpose. If someone tries to get people mad on purpose, that is when they should get warnings and bannings.
