I love it, you dislike what ONE MAN, THE PRESIDENT has done, so you vote for the other party, not based on how the candidate in question is morally or what their views are, SIMPLY because you dislike the president. Why the ******** would people like this even bother voting? It's like saying that the president likes cheese, and you like cheese, therefore you're an idiot. rolleyes

Actually, I have other reasons for wanting to vote Democrat.
You see, as a lesbian, I support many of the issues supported by the HRC that allow for equal rights of myself and all other GLBT individuals who would like attacks on them to be called a hate crime and for their committed partners to be able to receive Social Security benefits, not even going into the right for marriage.
So, I checked the HRC scorecard for my state, and lo, the Democrats supported the HRC for most to all bills under their scrutiny, while the Republicans supported only one or none.
So, yes. I support the Democrats because they support me.
There are other reasons, but honestly? That's the big one.

Oh, well, see, I hate the President too, but unlike most of those shitheads, I have various reasons for hating him. Another problem with the Republican card is that no matter how they try to distance themselves from him, we know that most of them support his policies. SRSLY? Even I hate some Democrats for taking it to extremes. I was in the train station, waiting for my mom to pick me up, when I was accosted by a Democrat handing out magazines on how the Republicans were putting spies in universities to put propaganda in their curriculum to get students to vote Republican. Utter s**t.

Never Green, please. We don't need them taking all of our tax money, tearing down schools, and replacing them with fields and fields of trees. x.X Trees are great, it's awesome, but we NEED our schools etc.

Where'd you hear that crap? Certainly, they're environmentalists, but I don't think they'd go so far as to tear down schools. That sounds like a highly far-right and biased view of them. At least they're not tearing down acres of pristine forest to build big corporations and refusing to sign the Kyoto protocol to try and prevent global warming.

I hate George Bush, for my own reasons as well as I grew up with my parents being Republican bashers. I've very, very liberal. Too bad I couldn't vote, or else I'd be out there in the freezing cold waiting to get a ballot.
I agree with you on one thing: voting for candidates because you hate one man out of the other party is just plain wrong. There are some Democrats that just need to die. SRSLY. Different people have different views, no matter what party they are on. But very few people actually watch debates and think about voting. American voters are a sad, indeed.

Really, I'd rather trust the actual voting of the PEOPLE in there to the adults. I voted democratic, as there were no libertarian candidates this time, and that is whom I usually voted for, but for me, the most important votes were for the "Big Issues" going on in my state right now.
