I'm curious. How did everyone get to learn about 동방신기? Did the first time you see them trigger something or was it later? What made you like them so much?
For myself I learned about 동방신기 when I went to Korea to visit my relatives two summers ago. I was watching TV and Hi Ya Ya 여름날 came up. It was a nice song and all but it didn't really start anything until I returned back home to USA and met up with my best friend DK. Who had become obessed with 동방신기.
We started watching Hi Ya Ya 여름날 on You Tube and she literally forced me to choose one as my favorite. Guess who? 시아준수 오빠!!![Xiah] heart
It didn't start until a while later when she started off about Hug. We watched it a million time and then we finally did karoke with Hug and I actually paid attention to the lyrics and I was like oh my gawd!!! That's so sweet!!! And I fell totally in love afterwards. Not to mention all their lyrics were super sweet and nice, they were really good singers, and not to mention really good looking. ^-^

I was at home on a lazy weekend and i changed the channel on my chinese pay tv and seoul pops was on, having only a brief knowledge of super junior back then i was like hmm...korean music should get more into it so decided to watch.
Then i saw the Hi Ya Ya music video just like you and was like OMG THESE BOYS ARE PERFECTION! i immediately ran to my computer and searched for their song to download then my obsession just progressed from there.

About two years ago, I was watching this awesome show (that they cancelled T^T) on AZN called Revolution, and I saw their Christmas song.... can't remember what it was called.
I wrote them down, but never looked them up.
Then, last year, my friend Mokki showed me Max, being totally and overly obsessed with him. She told me little about the rest of the group. >.>
On my birthday this year, after going up to Mokki and saying, "Guess who's birthday it is today?" and her (excitedly) saying "Max's!" I decided to hate Max.
Back in August, after coming home from Japan, my friend called me and told me in words something like these: "I found live Bishies! heart heart " She brought me over to her house and I officially became obsessed with JaeJoong err- DBSK. sweatdrop

which led to a CHANGMIN WEBSITE.
WITH A SEXYGIF.
and i liked him the most from the pictures.
and so i YOUTUBED and clicked ALWAYS THERE. said
"hey there are pretty good."
left it alone for awhile.
met someone on MYSPACE who was obsessed.
watched rising sun mv korean.
fell in love

lol wow everyone watched them on tv! xD n-e wayz... how i learned about them when my aunt went to korea for a work shop/ bus. trip , she sent me back some stuff.... and DBSK was in there and i found their voices being sexy.... <3<3<3

lol~ I remember seeing them on tv and thinking the guy in the middle (JaeJoong) was hot.
Oh wait, that reminds me! Back around like, September last year, my friend Velexa called me and was like, "I found a real bishie" (pretty boy) and she showed me this picture of this unnamed guy that she found on the internet and he was beautiful, and we calle dhim our live bishie.
Back in like, late August/early September we were corrupting another friend into the wonders of DBSK, and then Velexa got onto the topic of how many pictures she had, and we looked through her anime and we paused on that one picture and she was like, "Why is a picture of JaeJoong in my anime photos?" And I was like, "O.O OMG, you're right." And then she remembered when she called me....
So in summary, DBSK has been calling out to me for a loooong time... Two years, actually.... xd

and I was like... who are they?
She told me everything and let my watch Hug.
I saw Jaejoong and was like "OMFG. HE IS PEFECT. HIS VOICE. HIS LOOK. HIM"
&& then I kept watching MV's and became the obsessed person I am today

Dong Bang Shin Ki are real live bishies. <3 <3 My best friend who introduced me to Dong Bang Shin Ki first thought Jaejoong was a girl. xd It was hysterical. Her older brother was also born on the same day as Changmin except different years.
