After his daily prayer session and sacrafice, any Malu who cared to notice could often find Kamin by the cracked fountain, watching the water trickle, nearly hynotyzed. It really was a wonder that he didn't follow the god of water, with his seeming obbsession with all things wet, but that's not life had chosen for him. And so, instead, he went daily to the shrine of the ocean god and payed his hommage, and then came out here, into the courtyard to space out. It was something he did quite well, and as he sat there, solid and grey as stone, one could assume he had gone comatose and lost the ability to move. What one couldn't assume was what the Malu was thinking of, for that topic changed almost every other second. His thoughts were lightspeed after prayer, and he was ADD with his thought pattern.
Today, the water had completely evaded his thoughts. His mind had chosen to wrap around the realization that this was the way he was going to spend the rest of his life. Waking, walking from the pack to the temple, praying, sitting by the fountain, walking back to the pack for lunch, walking back to the temple for socializing, and then walking back to the temple for dinner and rest. He hadn't been here long, yet he had already fallen in to a schedule. He longed for a change in today's flow, craved excitement. For a shy creature, he was uncharacteristically open to anything the world could throw at him at that moment, so long as it wasn't trickling water in an ancient fountain.

The moment of peace was suddenly broken. As a young male voice yelled out “LOOK OUT!” causing resting birds to scatter, as the voice echoed shrilled against the surrounding walls. One of the sky, a small ball of tans and brow came skidding down, landing with a large SPLASH in the fountain. Causing water to splash up and drench Karmin. A young male Malu sat up in the fountain and shook his hair to get the water out of his ears. He blinked a couple of times then laughed, folding his small wings over his back. “I awmost got it” he giggled, looking at the Adult he had just splashed.
(sound familiar XD … well to anyone who was around when I got Amadeus)

From just inside one of the temple's entrances, a freckled Malu perked her white tipped ears high into the clear air. Pale yellow lanterns gazed about in mild interest for the source of that echoing voice. Hearing the splash, and smelling the scent of water on warm stones, the female already had enough of a hint to go on.
Rounding the corner, a brow was immediatly raised at the sight of the tiny winged Malu and the newely drenched one. Couldn't one already see the events to come...?

The sudden look out call had given the grey Malu enough time to turn his head about forty-five degrees, and then he didn't even know what had happened. With cold water dripping down his back, Kamin quickly filed away a reminder to be careful what he wished for. His gaze grew hard on the fountain to his attacker, and was not surprised at all to see a child giggling in the midst of the stone and wet. It was times like this that reminded Kamin how lucky he was to have barely any fur at all. His body was coated in very fine hairs, tiny hairs, similar to a sea lion. His slick skin beneath dried like a piece of glass, dripping until steak free. The water, however, was quite cold, and left chill bums where it slid. "That," he said through gritted teeth, "was rude."

Gabriel blinked a couple of times. His ears drooping to the sides slightly from the water. After a moment the little boy burst into laughter rolling onto his back, causing water to slash in his nose and face. Choking he sat up quickly sneezing the water out, and coughing. But once clear again he continued to laugh ”you look Siwy!” Gabriel giggled, then trotted to the other side of the fountain, still in the water out of the adults reach.

The female watched curiously, her attention going from one Malu to the next as they spoke or moved. When the small one seemed to have snorted up water, the cream female could not hold in her laughter. Head lowered and she shook it side to side lightly as her airey, but a little loud, and slightly tinkling, laughing gave away her presence.

With the onslaught of children's giggles, Kamin whipped his head around to see yet another behind him, also laughing. Was it Temple Giggle day and he just didn't get the memo? Perhaps the young ones here were more...lively than he had been. Well, that had already been proven by the babe in the fountain. He had some getting used to to do. "I look silly? You look sillier." It was an immature and pointless statement, but in the mess of laughter, it was all he could come up with and retain at least some dignity.

“nooo” Gabriel cooed “YOUS is siwy” he giggled again and started prancing around the fountain, doing an elegant little spin every now and then until he was in front of the adult again “who’s you?” he was grinning, blinking his big eyes, that looked innocent, but had a mischief little gleam to them, full of life. his body however, move elegantly for his age, every move he made, weather it me a stride, or a tail flick, all seemed to fit into his little dance.

Iionoir tiptoed out of his napping spot, a yawn echoing out of his throat. Lazily trotting along, his ears twitched at the sound of giggles and splashing water. A slight chill ran down his spine as a few new scents greeted him. "New Malu?" he asked himself aloud. How long had he been asleep? With a shrug, he continued onward, his bright green gaze continuously staring at the ground below him.
The extraordinarily colored Malu took a seat a few feet away from the two near the fountain, taking a slight interest in their strange activity. However, he had no interest in becoming a wet prisoner of the seemingly-evil brat in the fountain itself.

Kamin was relaxing slightly, letting go of his annoyance and indulging the child in his play. He shook his head, laughing inside at the youngster. Quite the lively fellow, he mused, staring down at the fountain. And oddly elegant in his movements for a young pudge; children are often unproportional, and for one to be so balanced was special indeed. "I am Kamin. And you are...?"

Gabriel stopped moving, sliding one of his front paws forward slightly in front of his other paw, toes barely toughing the bottom of the fountain. “Karmin” he said with a grin, tilting his head down to the side, grinning up at him with one eyes covered with his hair “I Gabriel” he tossed his head back up. moving the hair from his eyes “why do you look like dat?”

Kamin gave the child an odd look, cocking his brow slightly. Whatever could the little one mean by 'why do you look like that'? The male ran it through his mind several times, attempting to translate it to a more mature Malu's words. It took him a while, but he finally came to the conclusion that it most probablly meant his coloration and/or fur. "You mean my coat? Or my furs? I don't know why I'm olored this way... I just am. All the Malu where I come from are similar in color to different ssea creatures. As for my fur, well, it's the same thing. My old pack all has short fur like this. It has something to do with water and being streamlined, and the heat I was always in."

Gabriel blinked at Kamin for a moment, “so…. Yous bald….” He said thinking it over. Then let out a loud giggle spinning again. “well dat silly, why you be bald for? Are you old?” he giggled again. Gabe didn’t know anything about sea creatures, so he had no idea what sea creature this malu could look like… but then again… “what a sea creature?” he asked tilting his head to the side

Kamin shook his head quickly in a no, muttering something under his breath. Old? Did he /look/ old? The Malu was hardley an adult. He had only reached maturity a short time ago, and that had sent him on his journey to a new home. "I am not old. And I'm not bald. I have fur; just very short fur." He wriggled his nose slightly, trying to figure how to explain a sea creature. The most obvious definition was an animal from the sea, but he doubted the youngster knew what a sea was. "Well... Sea creatures live in the ocean. And an ocean is where the land disappears and it is all water, like the fountain you're in, except endless."

He mouth fell open slightly having glanced down at the water he stood in, and imagined it being endless. “Wooooow!” he gasped looking back at the Adult in astonishment “how you know! you wive der?” he had a hard time imagining a Malu living in water. Must not be to comfortable.
