Okay, here's what I decided - and it's okay because I'm marginally sure Jas, Appy and Jen will agree with me ^_^.

Everyone can start RPing threads if they want and start role-playing with whatever characters of their making that they want.

However, if a crewperson starts a thread and says it's a crew-only role-play, then kindly don't join without our permission - because we have a rather in-depth storyline of our own going that has been in the works for a good 3+ years now.

If we see your characters and your role-playing abilities fit in nicely, we may invite you to join our storyline, but until then you may start your own role-playing threads in the guild.

PS: To get a good idea of our role-playing, you can see one of our recent RPs in the Salamandastron Battle Log. Having AIM is almost a must, too. 'Kay thanks! biggrin

Just as a question, if we have Global Characters, do we post them in the character thread?
And if so, is there any template we should follow?

Sounds like a plan, Trace.

As the first person to post in the character thread, I'm going to assume a quasi-ownershippy role and say go for it, Tasselhoff. ^_^ Less confusing than having multiple character threads. As far as template... I actually don't know. If you like the way we've posted ours, try that, haha. If not, however you do it is probably keen as well. smile Have fun.

Do we have to name the RP Thread after a place or book or can we make up our own names?

Your own name would be just fine. They're your threads, you can name them what you want.

It occurred to me the other day that the next crew storyline should take place in winter. Just because. Lol. Have we ever RPed our characters in snow? razz

Hahahahahaha. Hahahahahaha. Sorry, that just sounds so weird to me. We STARTED the guild solely because when we tried to RP on AIM, we could never get online together. We've been RPing this storyline we're on now for over two years. It's taken us 527 days to role-play something that takes place over the course of about three weeks IC. (Goodness, I like that little counter thing....)

Anyways, I dunno what we're doing about applications for the crew RPs. =| I just work here. confused

Jen, I have one thing to say : 5:30 AM. Rofl.

And actually, she DID write the rules XDD. Sorry, I couldn't resist.

Listen, we'll be finishing this story-line up shortly, and then there will probably be an opportunity for others to join us. You'd have to understand you'll have to keep track of about 548946984 characters that we play between the four of us, and it'd take awhile to get the hang of it. Plus: We're looking for people with our role-playing style. Plus spelling, grammar, punctuation, general knowledge of the English language - a MUST.

But if you just hang around and be patient (and give us a reason to think you're up to RPing with us) you never know.

Hey. You helped. =P

Well, by English, we mean literacy. smile Fear not, I think you're alright in that department.

Ok good, you had me worried there for a minute.

As a new member of the guild, I am inclined to ask a few questions. However, I noticed that there is no specific thread for questions or help, so I decided I would post my inqueries here. I hope I have not stepped out of line by doing so, as I don't really know where else this post might go sweatdrop .

First, I have a fan-fiction from which I would like to use a character in an RPG. Here's the catch: he is a beast of my own design that has never-before appeared in the Redwall books. Though he has an actual name, I like to call him the Badgerine (half badger, half wolverine). I know it probably sounds very stupid, but I actually went through a lot of long nights thinking up a deeply rooted storyline for him. Now my question is, can I use this character in an RPG? In your list of acceptable characters, you implied that we could use another kind of character other than those listed if we asked, so this wouldn't normally be a problem. The thing about Rowanoak (said Badgerine) is that he is technically a genetic impossibility, though, so I wanted to know how the founders of this guild would feel about it.

Second, I would like to know if making a sub-forum or something for anybody who might have fanfictions of the Redwall series might be a future possibility? I think that such a thing might help us, as guild members, have a chance to look more closely at one another's works. This could aid in finding recruits for RPs and help those of us in the guild to better know each other.

That's all the questions I have for now. Thank you very much for your time.

No problem with your asking, our bad for not putting up a Q&A thread! xp This is about Role-Playing anyway, and even if it weren't, I for one should be the last person to condemn anyone for getting off-topic. sweatdrop

Fanfic thread sounds spiffy. If we don't end up making one, feel free to go ahead and post your own. (Someone's already done it for poetry!)

As to the new character, we'll get back to you shortly. It's past my bedtime and I just dropped Tracy a PM. neutral
