Well, I'm not looking at any major weight loss crap, but DDR is my only easy (and fun biggrin ) means of excersize (besides running which sucks), and I need to lose a few pounds, or at least get stronger for sports in the spring. Has anyone regularly excersized with DDR to lose weight, and if so, how many songs (on heavy mode) would you reccomend doing each day? Thanks.

I never really played with the goal of losing weight. Though I did lose a lot of weight that I really didn't need to lose in the first place. >_>
As for recommended songs, it pretty much varies from person to person. Find songs that make your leg muscles "feel the burn" (but not to the point of exhaustion; better to play 10 songs in a row that only lightly drain you, than 15 songs that wipe you out and make you take breaks in between) and focus on those. Streamy stuff is always good (Healing Vision ~Angelic Mix, exotic ethnic, Can't Stop Falling in Love -Speed Mix-, maybe Healing D-Vision).

Well, if you're using the actual game (not Stepmania) there should be a workout mode. You can set goals and it will monitor how many cals you burn by how many steps you do. I'll usually step even when their are none just to burn more cals and reach my goals faster. It depends on the song for how many cals you burn. Just remember, 1000 cals = 1 lb

(then I eat a really big slice of cake, to show people that I'm losing NOTHING.)

i lost 85 pounds i used to weigh 245 but ddr helped me it was my god brother who got me into it and noow every morning i turn on the playstation get on my mat and play ddr usally the songs are robots an police for a warm up gentle stress and max 300 to finish it all all on heavy mrgreen
