So I think the guild needs rules. Because no rules = sad
Dukes made an official complaint today about Bialy. So I officially warned them. But warnings dont really mean anything because there are no rules.
I think we should have a drama starting rule. Most drama is fine in the game, but in the D it has issues. Things like calling each other "the prominent, egotistical little s**t that you always were" should be outlawed. I think we should give one warning..and then after that maybe a few days ban? And if you cause too much drama you get banned for good. Or something like that. I dunno. I just think rules are needed. What do you guys think?

A 3-strikes-and-you're-out sort of thing would probably be nice.

I agree with 3 strikes 3nodding I think we should have a "if you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything at all" rule, because that should just be common curtesy.
What would happen after 3 strikes? A 2 or 3 day ban, or something like that? Should we make the guild private to keep the people in trouble away? And we could just make it public around signups, for recruiting purposes.

That works. The only thing is if the guild isnt private, kicking people out does NOTHING. Unless we keep a "black list" of people kicked out and delete any threads/posts they make.

Drama in the GAME is fine. Not in the guild though. At least not imo. There is fun drama and there is bad drama. Bad drama hurts people's feelings, like in that thread. Good drama is the drama we have in the game, and its fun.

Actually. Asking the guild will just cause drama. The troublemakers wont want rules and will make a huge hissy fit over it. I'm pretty sure the majority of the guild would like rules to keep drama out of the D.
I dont like being in a hateful, spiteful, bitching, mean, rude, disrespectful guild. I dont think ANYONE does. I think we, as v.c's, need to clean up the guild so it isnt like that. I find flaming, rude remarks, and disrespect completley UNACCEPTABLE and I think we should have zero tolerance with it. It is unneeed, unwatned, and should just be done with. But it will continue being there until there are consequences for it. And since we are here to make the guild the best it can be we are the ones who have to make the consequences.
Now drama in the game...the game is dramatic. It was made to be that way. That is fine. But in the rest of the guild...its bullshit and should be taken care of. Imo.

Drama that turns into borderline-flaming = needs to be stamped out.
I seriously think it's been looked over far too long. We've had rules against it, but we've never really enforced it all that much, and I think the guild would greatly benefit if we did. Rules that aren't enforced end up ignored.
And if there's real flaming going on, someone needs to point it out to me >>; Or another mod. I don't read through every thread, or every page of every thread.

And I contacted 4 people about flaming last night. Two people were really understanding, and said they deserved a warning and knew they were wrong. So obviously some of the guild agrees with warning for flaming 3nodding The other two...I dont even want to go there xd Lets just say they weren't very happy.
Should we make a thread about the warning system, or just warn people when they need it, and tell them about how many chances they get when they get their first warning?
