It does not matter if there is a majority vote for a seperate subforum, unless I get someone to moderate it. Meaning that I need more applications for a moderator postition if you guys want this to happen. I'm not running this guild myself, and I'm definately not creating a whole new subforum for me to have to handle.
Okay, so Pyro brought up to me an idea to possibly be a middle ground between this whole choicers/no-choicers, in the guild thing. What he proposed was that we open up another subforum and allow the choicers to post/debate in there but no where else in the guild. This would allow for the lifers who don't want to deal with the choicers ever to not have to, and would allow the lifers who would like the interaction the availability to interact without the need to join the PCPLA or the Abortion Debate Guild.
However if this were to happen it would have to be available to all choicers. Meaning that we would have to come up with strict rules and make sure to enforce very strictly where they posted. Also everyone in the guild would have to try and come up with rules that we think the choicers should abide by.
That said, I have set up a poll so that it can be voted on. This is so that people don't feel any pressure to vote a specific way. If you don't want them in here at all vote no, if you do vote yes. If you want to elaborate feel free to post, if you're afraid of someone being upset with you, don't post at all.
Second on the agenda; if this is to happen I want to have a moderator dedicated specifically to that subforum. Other moderators can of course deal with issues in there, but I want a moderator who is specifically for that area. They would be the moderator that people (choicers and lifers alike) would message if they had any issues with things happening in the subforum.
This means I would like people who would be interested in moderating to message applications for the position to me. Just tell me why you think you would be good for the job (remember you'll be dealing with choicers and lifers, alike) and also how often you're able to get online. Please make sure that you are able to be online enough to do the job. Meaning make sure your grades are good so that you don't need a hiatus anytime in the near future, you don't have so much to do irl that you can only get online once a week etc.
Even if a subforum is voted against, I also want another general moderator as the ones we have now all seem to be in hiatus or busy most of the time.
In short:
On your application: - Why you'd be good for the job. - How often you're able to be online. - How long you've been a member of the guild (approx.) - Whether you want a general moderation position, subforum moderator position or if it doesn't matter, tell me that as well.
Application Deadline: November 25th, 2006 Vote Deadline: November 20th, 2006

Ebony the Peacian Vampire I want to, but I don't know how crazy school is going to get. gonk Submit and then we'll go from there. I have an idea for that but I think it'll involve having 2 people moderating the sub-forum.
I'm fairly understanding, being a university student, I get the whole massive amount of school work, thing. =P
