I think my parents are either catching on or have found out I'm wiccan. I normaly wouldn't think this but the following conversation happened today. I had slept in and decided not to go to church with them, they came home. Me: You guys are home. Dad: and you are awake. Mom: AJ's dad asked why you weren't there. Me: really? Dad: Yeah we told him you were sleeping and going to a wiccan service later. Me: What? what are you talking about? Mom: oh no we didn't he is just kidding.
Do you think I'm being parranoid, or do you realy think they know. If they do what should I do?

They might know, and if they do, they seem to be okay with it. They just might be waiting for you to say something

yeah, I'm still a little hesitant about it. Like I was in a converation with my older sister about what we would do if our kids (if we have any) ever dicided to be somthing other than christian. My sister snapped and said she would make her kid go see a priest. So I'm also worried about what she would do if I came out of the 'broom closet'. I'm suprised that if they know somthing about it they are taking it so well, but I'm still worried that they may behave differently when I actualy come out.

That is true, they might just think it is a phase you are going though, and if you say something to them, then they will know forsure you are really a Pagan. This is one of those hard questions to answer. Have you tried to meditate or anything over it?

No problem. It is what I do when I'm unsure what to do.

Divining's not a bad idea, but I have to ask - where does your sister get her views on religion? If it comes from your parents then it's possible that they think you're just going through a phase, if not, then I'd guess that your sister just has... issues neutral Upon finding out that your child may not believe in or want to be a part of the same faith as you, you take them to a priest for scare tactics/exorcism/whatever as a first reaction? WTF happened to parent-child discussion? If you just talk with the kid about it, it'd probably be relatively easy to discern whether or not s/he is serious about conversion or whether it's really just a rebellious phase and you can rationally, calmly figure out where to go from there... "MY KID DOESN'T AGREE WITH ME ON RELIGION! POSSESSED!! POSSESSED I SAY!!"
I have a relative who doesn't let her kids watch Disney movies (etc.) because they have witchcraft and magic in them - 'cause, yanno, that makes them TEH EBIL!!1!! Those poor kids... that woman was crazy sad

eek My family is like that! My mom isn't that bad but the rest are all RPGs are evil! They bug my mom all the time about it all the time. The fact that I roleplay is a sin to them. Also using OMG and My drawings are evil to them. I drew a picture of an elf and I got banned from my aunts house for a month!
This is why I don't tell them about my faith. They know I don't flow their codes but they don't know I'm Pagan either. It's scary when you love someone and there's a chance you might be disowned or have them over react. It hurts more than anything else. Love is suppost to be unconditional.

Religion as an excuse for bigotry, genocide, ETC since - FOREVER! *gasp* surprised My family's not horrible, but they don't have the same mindset as me. My dad is a bit of a fanatical nut, but my mother's soft polytheistic with a Golden Rule outlook to everything. My "not being Christian" only confuses her - at least I know the only thing I'm not allowed to do is Summoning xd

We have the don't ask, don't tell going on in my family. They don't understand what a real Pagan is, and I have gotten tired of tring to tell them, whick just normally starts a fight. So I don't say anything about being Pagan, they don't ask me about it and we can go on being happy.

Im really not sure how my mom will react. I am waiting to tell her after I graduate (in May) so I can move out of the house so I dont have to deal with it if she isnt ok with it. But she is starting to refuse to let me on my own because she thinks I cant take care of myself (which I kinda cant unless I get over my lazyness). So if I cant get out of the house and she is not ok with it, I dont know what I will do.. neutral I read an article in 17 magazine about how a girls parents disowned her because she was wiccan. Should I type the article in the Library?

Those poor kids... that woman was crazy sad My sister is a catholic like the rest of my family, mind you I don't think my parents are that psyco, hopefuly. Unfortunatly I have not found a coven near me yet. Most covens won't accept you unless you are 18 and I'm only 16.

Hell, christians claim to be the loving type. That is a lie, most Christains are horible to people that don't agree with their beliefs. Didn't Jesus say 'love one another as I have loved you.'? Unfortunatly people from other religions are the same. I guess there are just too many stupid people in this world.

Should I type the article in the Library? Don't worry I think your mom is saying that becuase she is afraid of not seeing you again. I know several parents that get like that when their kids graduate. As for the artical I think you should post it in the library, I want to read it ^^.
