Kale walked through the forest, deep in thought. He was pondering many things, his recent meeting with Rainbow Chaser had been interesting, but not for long, they hadn't had much to talk about really, they were not alike in many ways and had little in common.
He had taken to walking through the forest to be alone for a bit. It was nice and peaceful in the forest, shady as well. He snatched a bit of a flower growing in one of the sunlit spots as a snack.
He continued on as he ate, and vaguely pondered if he would meet another Soquili on this adventure into the forest, it wouldn't be bad if that happened...

Marina trotted along the woodland path, silent with happiness. She had met another Soquili! Although this Soquili, Lunathiel, was a bit over-protective, she seemed nice enough. Wow, she thought. Out of the thousands of Soquili in these lands, I've only met two! she chuckled. Oh well, hopefully I'll meet some more later on...
As if someone had read her mind, she had encountered another Soquili! A stallion to boot! But, what was wrong? He was all black, and he seemed to be deep in thought. Was he dangerous? she thought to herself. Maybe I shouldn't disturb him...?
Oblivious to her mind's own warnings, Marina shook off the thought of his hostility and cautiously made her way up to him. "H-hello?" she neighed softly. Although Marina was in a good mood, boy was she as shy as ever!

Kale looked up as he heard a voice and raised an eyebrow as he saw a blue mare trot up to him. She seemed a bit nevous, which intrigued him, "Hello, miss. May I ask why you look so nervous?" He asked, raising his head so he could look at her better.
She was a pretty creature, a soft, mottled blue in coat with a long mane and tail that began in white and ended in blue. He cocked his head and flicked his ears forward as he waited for a response. He was curious as to why she would be acting this way, as far as he knew there wasn't anything around tht would cause such a reaction.
He quickly scented the air, perhaps there was a cougar or some other beast about? He smelled nothing and he was becoming a bit confused, she couldn't have been looking at him, could she? As far as he knew he wasn't intimidating.

Upon hearing his calm composure, Marina realized he wasn't a threat and released any tension in her body. "Um...hello...I'm sorry if I was intruding or anything...and, I guess I'm just nervous around other Soquilis naturally...I think its called being shy?" her face flushed red in embaressment. It was only her second time meeting a stallion, but the first time was very breif.
Quickly sizing him up, Marina noted that he was a well-built Soquili with a tightly braided silvery mane and tail. Although, thats not what had shocked her at first. Being uncultured of the wide variety of Soquilis, she stupidly affiliated his coal black coat with darkness, thus leading her to think he was dangerous. But since he seemed nice enough, she felt very ashamed and silly. Though he did have white hair on the bottom of his legs, the black was what she had caught a glimpse of.
The last thing she could see that made him stand out, was his feathers. They were peacock colored! Marina thought that they were very stylish and went well with his whole scheme. Although being a bit silly she felt bad for the peacocks who lost them.

Kale shrugged, "It isn't a crime to be shy." he said calmly, eyes scanning about the area, having long ago adjusted to the semi-darkness, he raised an eyebrow as he saw the mare staring at him, "May I now ask why you are staring at me?" He shook his braided mane, the braids slapping against his neck.
He pawed at the ground with his hoof lazily, wondering what to do next. He shrugged mentally and looked at the mare, it could harm to ask her to take a walk with him, just standing there wasn't helping anything, "Would you....like to walk with me?" he asked tentatively, unsure of how the mare would react to such a question.

"Sorry..." Marina grimanced. Since she didn't know she was staring at him, Marina was slightly confused at first. "Huh?" she said. Finally realizing that she was, she said, "Oh! I'm so sorry...its just that, I've never seen a Soquili as black as you before! I'm sorry..." Marina looked away and hung her head down in shame.
Since she was unaware if he was mad at her or not, Marina eyed Kale warily. "A walk...with you?" she reiterated. "Sure!" she said cheerfully. "Oh..." Marina started. "Heh, I guess I still don't know your name. May I have the pleasure of knowing it?" she asked as she trotted closer over to him.

Kale flicked his tail, looking at her sideways, "My name is Kale." He replied nodding his head in deference toward her, "May I request yours as well?" She was a strange one, this mare. She seemed to this that whatever he did was aggressive toward her. It would have been quite amusing had it not been himself that this was happening to.
She seemed incredibly nervous around him and there was no explanation for it. She was unigue alright. These thoughts tumbled through his mind as he waited for the blue mare to reply.
His ears flicked back and forth as he caught the sounds of the forest. The birds sang off in the distance, and a squirrel skittered up a tree nearby, completely unafraid of the two horses. A breeze even made its way through the trees, ruffling his braids gently. It was a beautiful place.

"Pleasure to meet you, Kale." she said, tipping her head in a nod. "I am called Marina." As they walked along the forest path, Marina spotted many beautiful birds and exotic flowers. She certainly had never seen anything like them before. "Kale...do you live here? In this forest?" she asked.

Kale looked at her as they walked, "No. I do not. I live with a two-legger and several other Soquili but I do not go there very often anymore. Lately, I've been living with someone else." He shrugged, "Do you live here, ....Marina? It's certainly a lovely place." He bent his neck to sniff a little patch of flowers. Raising it again he walked on, enjoying the scenery and the silent company offered by the blue mare. She was certainly different from the other he had met, and more likeable by his standards. He let out a small breath, much like a sigh and wondered about what would happen next.

"Oh. I see," Marina said calmly. "Yes...it is a lovely place indeed...but no. I don't live here, but right outside this forest. I also live with a two-legger. She has a teepee right on the outskirts of this forest...so I went exploring. Why are you in this forest?" Marina has always lived right outside this forest, but this was only her second time actually going into it. The first time, she met an odd rainbow colored Soquili. That came as quite a surprise to her. Maybe I'll meet all the Soquilis in this forest... she thought and chuckled internally.

Kale shook his head, the many braids flapping against his neck, "I just decided to come here today." He looked around, "It is quite peaceful here and I enjoy it." He twitched his tail at a bug and moved slightly ahead, pondering about what he saw.
Everywhere he went it seemed he encountered another soquili, which wasn't a bad thing. Of course not, he really didn't care either way but it was vaguely amusing that this was happening to him more often. He twitched his tail again and looked over at Marina, waiting for a response.

"Yes it is!" she neighed happily. "Its very beautiful...the last time I came here, it wasn't as colorful. But it was still quite lovely!" The first time, Marina's eyes were transfixed on the colorful patterns of Forrests coat. Now, she's sure to take note of all the flora growing around her. She quickly paused to smell a flower. It was bright green and orange. Strangely tropical looking. Anyways, it smelled like a mango...or sweet nectar. "Kale..." she said. "Do you like flowers? I sure do! My favorite are roses...or peonies~"

Kale blinked at the sudden question, it had been quite random, "Flowers? I have no particular preference toward them. They're nice, I guess, but they are not really something I think about." He paused and watched her sniff another flower, "You really like them, I see." His ears twitched forward as he raised an eyebrow at her antics.
He had really begun to wonder about her, she was conflicting. Sometimes terribly shy and yet others hyper and happy. He shook his head, it wasn't hs right to judge another at first glance, he should get to know her better before deciding anything important after all...time can change many things.

"Ah...I see." she said. "Of course I do. They're so pretty and smell nice~" Upon seeing his reactions, Marina said, "Heh, heh. Sorry. You must think I'm pretty weird..." She sighed and continued trotting down the forest path. "So, if you don't like flowers, what do you like?" Marina asked.
