Mecca trecked back from the small town with Scimitar following close on his heels. He was not amused with the hounding of the locals. Step into the shop and they tried to convince you to buy ten things you did not want or need. It was rediculous.
In a not a particularly good mood he strolled back to tha cave they had set up camp in and dumped the provisions down on the table. So much for the secluded getaway the owner had promised. Far too close to civilisation for his liking.
"Next time -you- go to town." He said taking a seat on a log next to the fire.

Covet blinked as he dumped everything onto the table and reached up to tuck some of her hair behind her ear as she watched him sit. Smirking, she reached out and started sorting through everything he had gotten.
"Okay," she said simply, looking over at him as she finished. Walking up beside him, she ran a hand over his hair and smiled. "May I ask why?" she asked, arching a brow slightly.

Mecca looked up and shrugged off his long coat as the fire warmed him.
"Because they don't leave you alone." He said irritably. "I want to go to town and get what I need. Not ten things I do not." He ran his fingers throug his hair and held his hands up to the heat to warm them.

Covet gave a snort of laughter and sat down beside him as he warmed himself.
"They have to make a living some how Mecca," she smirked, arranging her skirt over her knees. "I mean... we aren't exactly in a metropolis," she smiled and reached out to offer her hand to Scimitar. "But don't worry my love, I will go next time. Okay?" she said, watching the flames dance, completely oblivious to the endearment she let slip.

Mecca shrugged and nodded.
"I suppose." He said turning to look at her and smiling. Other than the town it seemed like a rather nice place to spend a few weeks. "What did you want to do today?" he asked as Scim decided he wanted to sit on his lap. "Go for a walk down by the falls?"

Reaching out to run her fingers over Scim's soft fur, she smiled and looked up into Mecca's eyes.
"I would. I haven't been there since I was little. If I remember correctly, you were there briefly before sulking off somewhere to do whatever it is you did when we were not together," she smiled. "I can only imagine it involved hurting some unsuspecting creature," she smirked then turned her eyes back to the fire.

"yeah, something like that." Mecca said with a bit of a nostalgic smile. "Anyway I only walked off because you and your friends were boring." He admitted stoking Scim and smiling over to her. "You all jumped in the water. I don't like swimming."

"Truly?" she smiled and rose to her feet, smoothing her skirts. Glancing around their shelter, she smirked and looked back down at him.
"Shall we go?" she asked, stretching her wings a little before resettling them against her back and holding her hand out to him. "May I ask why you don't like swimming?"

"Yes." he said standing and walking towards the mouth of the cave. "I just don't like it." He said pulling his coat on and stepping out into the cool morning air. "That is perfectly reasonable is it not? You do not like air ships ... i do not like swimming."

"I don't like airships because I am afraid of them. Does this mean that you are afraid of swimming?" she asked, pulling a shawl up around her shoulders as they stepped outside together and started towards the falls.

"Maybe." Mecca said with a shrug. Shoving his hands into his pockets he strode out of the cave and off down the side of the mountain to the falls. Scimitar barking at his heels. "I don't like water." he admitted, turning back round to face her. "I know, stupid as I like the sea so much. I just don't like going to deep."

Covet smirked a little and looked past him as he walked backwards in order to face her as he spoke to her.
"It's not stupid. I like watching the airships, but that doesn't mean I like riding on them," she said, shifting her eyes to glare at him a little as she pulled her shawl tighter around her. "And I -still- don't like them," she said looking away, the sound of the falls starting to get slightly louder.

Mecca rolled his eyes and continued to walk.
"I apologised for that." He said with a smirk as the sound became louder and louder. Scimitar was already bounding off excitedly crawling under all the bushes and sniffing at all the trees.
The falls really were very beautiful. Much more so than he remembered from childhood.

"Sorry isn't going to give me back those years you scared out of me," she mock glared and paused as they came up beside the crystalline water of the falls. Turning away from them, she started down the stream until she came to a nice sunny patch of grass. Smiling, she tossed her shawl down, then moved to sit upon it, her legs stretched out before her. She still had a lovely view of the falls, but it was much quieter a little ways away from them. With the sun rising higher in the sky, the slight chill in the air was starting to fade and all in all, the peacefullness of it all was very enchanting, she thought with a smile.

Mecca smirked and sat down next to her. Crossing his legs and watching the hypnotic flow of the waterfall.
"It's rather magical here." He said closing his eyes and absorbing the sound of the water crashing into the pool. "For such a safe place, you can feel the power of nature very clearly."
