It was Saturday morning and Delta had woken up bright and early. She yawned and rolled out of bed and onto the floor with a bump. She had big plans for today, she was going to invite Arith out to a farm and her mum was even going to let her use the phone!

Quickly she got changed into her clothes that her mum had left on her dressing table. Looking in the mirror she grinned, her white shirt and baggy overalls were perfect for today as she was probably going to get covered in dirt.

Humming a little song she made up she walked into the kitchen and sat down at the table 'Morning mummy' she beamed to her mum who was making pancakes. "Good morning Delta, your up just in time for breakfast" grinned Moon as she flipped two fresh pancakes onto a plate for Delta and put them on the table infront of her. "So, after breafast your going to invite young Arith with us to the farm still?" asked moon as she too sat at the table with her pancakes. "Mmmhmm" nodded delta, her mouth full of pancake. Quickly she scoffed the rest of her breakfast down "they were the best pancakes EVER!" she giggled and took er plate to the sink. Then she skipped to the phone and took it over to the fridge where all the important numbers were written. "Hmm.." she thought as she looked for the number next to the letters A-R-I-T-H, this was the first time she had used the phone and her mum had only talked her through it once before but she wanted to get it right and do it by herself. "Aha!" she found the number she was looking for and carefully typed it into the phone and pressed the DIAL button.

She grinned as she heard the phone begin to ring...

Delta was so shocked at how fast the phone had been answered that she almost dropped it "AH! ah, hello? Umm Arith?" she stumbled over her words as she regained her hold on the phone, It was hard to hold the phone properly because when it was at her ear the bit to talk into was too far away. Then she remembered that the phone had a speaker option so she turned that on with a beep. "Hello? you still there?"

Moon pulled a face at delta that said 'i know your trying but your so silly'. So delta pulled a face back as she listened for a reply.

"Phew, Hey hey Arith!" Delta chimed, glad that she had gotten the number right. "You are the first person I ever called on the phone!" She grinned hoping that he would be proud of that fact. "Umm, but I was wondering. You doing anything today? I wanted you come to a farm with me to see animals, milk a moo-cow and collect eggs and stuffs?" She fidgeted as she waited for an answer, she REALLY wanted him to come as he was her bestest friend ever since they had met at the cafe.

Moon tapped delta on the shoulder gently and whispered in her ear a reminder "If he can come you have to tell him to wear clothes he dousnt mind getting dirty, and we can pick him up and drop him (and Mia if she wants to come) off if they would like."

Delta nodded and quickly told Arith that information too, and then she waited for an answer as patiently as she could.

"Awesome!" Delta grinned and wagged her tail "We'll come pick you guys up in.. umm.." Delta looked to her mum who held up her finger to say 'one hour?' "Umm.. One Min- oh! One hour? We come over to get you both in one hour? That ok?" Delta giggled, she was so excited. Grinning she said goodbye to Arith on the phone and hung up. She hoped he knew that he had muddled up the chickens and the cows, because the chickens probably wouldnt like it very much if he tryed to milk them.

Excitedly Delta ran into her bedroom to get her bag, then she ran back into the kitchen so that she could help pack up their picnic lunch, she had forgotten to tell Arith to bring food so they made sure to pack extra.

The time passed and soon it was time for them to jump in the car and drive over to Arith and Mia's house. So quickly Moon and delta put on their shoes, packed the bags in the car and headed over to Mia's house where Delta excitedly jumped out of the car and up the driveway to ring the doorbell and wait for Arith and Mia.

Delta innocently grinned at Mia "Heya Miaaa!" she wagged her tail and giggled to Arith. "Arith wearing same clothes!" she pointed out the similarities of their clothing choices "good choice! lets go!" excitedly wagging her tail she raced to the car and opened the door to the passenger seat for mia and then opened the back door for her and Arith, she had to pull on the door a few times though because it was heavy. Then she jumped into the seat and pulled on her seatbelt. "Buckle up" she giggled, making sure everyone was being safe.

"So exciting! we gonna see animals, and SHEEP!" delta really wanted to see a sheep, ever since she had heard about them in a bedtime story. Apparrently they had the power to make people go to sleep by jumping fences.

Moon Started up the car and began to drive, it was a fair distance between them and the farm but it shouldnt be too long so the kids shouldnt be too bored escpecially since they had each other to talk with.

Delta grinned and nodded "Ya! Mum said theres all sorts and you can pat them all! Theres Moo-cows and chickens and sheeps and goats and horsies and umm.. whats it called... a llamoo- llama? something? lots of things" she couldnt remember all the animals that were going to be there but she told the ones she could. "Oh! and we have to be careful, dont want to hurt the little baby animals there ok?"

The drive went on for about half an hour untill finally they pulled up a bumpy dirt driveway that led to the farm. Delta liked to make noises while on the bumpy road because it made her voice go all jumpy and wierd and it sounded funny.

Then delta saw the farmhouse and she squished her face against the window "look!!" she cried, pointing to the big red barn "we here!"

"A million ZILLION animals..." delta was shocked, this place was so huge and it wasnt only the barn, there was large fields around too with what seemed to be splodgey rocks in them... moving splodgey rocks... "aah! Wassat!?" Delta cried, pointing at one of the moving rocks.

Moon chuckled "Those splodgey things kids, are dairy cows. You will get to help milk one of those later on today if you would like"

Delta shot an usure look to Arith "Thats a Moo-cow? they look so wierd and tubby"

Slowly the car pulled in to a stop infront of the farm house and out the front was a chubby woman in overalls and a hat waiting for them. Moon helped everyone out of the car and picked up the bag and put it on her back before walking over to the lady to organise their farm tour.

Delta sniffed at the air, "Eww, for a pretty place it really smells pooey"

Moon and the lady talked for a while longer and then the lady smiled and wavedto the kids before walking into the barn. Moon headed back over to Mia and the kids "Ok Ms Brown sais that we should go take a look around the farm first and follow the signs and go see all the animals and thn we should go see her in the barn when we are ready to collect the eggs and milk a cow, sound fun?"

Delta looked to arith and then to her mum "Sounds cool! can we go see the animals? i mean, if Arith wants to?" she looked back to arith hopefully.

Moon smiled "You and Arith decide which way to go and we will follow, just follow the signs" she pointed to the wooden signs, which were easy for children to read because they used pictures to show the way.

Delta grinned "Arith should choose which way we go first!"
