A Halloween ruse designed to confuse and annoy the long suffering Drinkables! owners? The night was certainly Halloween appropriate. Stars twinkled in the few pockets of sky not shrouded by thick mashed potato clouds. The air was just a bit thick and chilled enough to drop ny heated dishes the guests might have brought for their potluck down a few degrees. A heavy feeling of unease was in the air. Unnoticed, undetectable to the milling crowd of drinks and people and drink people below, a scowling figure perched on the roof. "Show them, I'll show them. Break them, I'll break them. Then it'll just be me, that's the way it's supposed to be. Isn't right. Isn't fair. Who are they to want to share?" Then the same hands that wrote each fraudulent note spritzed a spray bottle of pink-tasting liquid over the unsuspecting crowd below. It felt just like rain, but with a faint glow and shimmer over each of the cups below...something was definitely wrong. Then, as quickly as the shadow appeared, it was gone, and so was the glow. But perhaps the Drinkables would be feeling the effects of this chance meeting in time.
This is for anyone running late like myself (*shot*) and still needs a partner (..partners?) for the metaplot. Anyone is okay to join!

Cocoa frowned slightly when he wasn't able to open the door, looking just as confused as probably everyone else had. Maybe he should have asked Demare to stay with him, now regretting letting the halfling leave. The child looked down to his bottled friend for a moment before looking around the small crowd, only able to recognize one of the people there. Jack appeared to be busy, however, so the fox boy stayed where he was.
David, disappointed, began to sink down into his bottle when he felt something different touch his liquid body. It felt wet, like rain... something that didn't belong in his drink. He swore he saw something like glitter as well.
"Hey! No sprayin' stuff on me!" he demanded, looking around to see who might have the perfume he thought it probably was. He saw no one, however, and began to feel even more uneasy.
The child raised a brow. "No one is spraying anything, David," he assured the drink, shifting the container in his hands so he could hold it better. The brownies here beginning to feel a little heavy.
"I felt... somethin' wet, though," the drinkable frowned, sniffing his hands for a moment. Nothing... He smelled nothing different. What happened, then?
"I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you ARE liquid after all," Cocoa couldn't help but say, sighing lightly. "You should always feel wet."
The look he recieved from those orange eyes said different, however. His ears folded down sadly as he realized he'd hurt the poor creature with his words, remembering how David sometimes complained about the rain or splashes of water being "wet" because it felt strange. He was sure that something being mixed into one's body wasn't exactly a pleasant feeling.
"Oh... I'm... I forgot."
"Ya do that a lot lately, it seems."
He deserved that one.
Turning his brown eyes upward to inspect the other owners for a moment, he decided to investigate. Maybe someone else would know what's going on. Stepping over to the closest person, he hoped he's find some answers.
"Excuse me? Would you happen to know what's going on?" the little boy asked, his tail shifting behind him a little bit.
While he was doing that, David noticed a couple of pinkish speckles on the edge of his bottle. Giving it a lick, he blinked a few times as he tried to place the taste of it. It wasn't bad at all, something a little sweet... Not sugary, but... a flower? It tasted kind of like the honey suckle Cocoa gave him once.

Kyou was absent-mindedly staring into space, working some scientific ideas in his head when he heard Kaze exclaimed. "Oh my God, shoujo sparkles!" That made Kyou snapped back into reality and gave Kaze a look of confusion. "...what?"
"Didn't you see? Just now I saw some shoujo sparkles!" Kaze exclaimed happily as he cling to the side of his cup.
"Shoujo sparkles...? Where on earth did you learn that wo..." pausing in the middle of the sentence, Kyou thinks he knows where Kaze learnt it from. Kaze haven't had much interaction with alot of people after all. So the only person would be Lazarus at home. But in fact, Kyou was not entirely right. Lazarus didn't exactly taught Kaze, but Kaze learnt it from Lazarus, hearing him screamed the word at the television one day when he accidentally switched the channel to a girly animation with loads of pink sparkles.
"..Never mind..." Kyou sighed. "What sparkles anyway? I don't see anything weird."
"You missed it! They were some falling down just now! Some even fell into my cup, though the pretty pink sparkle disappeared when they touched my tea." Kaze pouted as he look disappointedly at the surface of the liquid he's sitting in.
Weird... Kyou thought, he ran a finger around the edge of the cup. Whatever it is, if it fell into Kaze's liquid it should have landed on the brink of the cup as well. Nothing, after looking and sniffing at it. Gingerly, he licked his finger to see if there's any taste. There was a slight sweet taste to it, but Kyou couldn't make out what it is.
Suddenly he heard someone talked to him. Turning around a little he look down at the little brown boy before him. "Uh....." rather caught by surprise by the question, Kyou doesn't really know what to say. "...I'm.. not really sure myself. What seems to be the matter though?"
Kaze oogled with mouth wide open at the other liquid kid the little boy was holding. He was blue! And he was a new face for Kaze!

"Ooooooh!" Ren squealed, reaching out her hands to touch the pink mist. It looked a little like the stuff from the spray bottle Linnea kept with her, but pinker and prettier. Something about the way it felt when it touched her, however, was not pretty. It felt strange.
Eriol waved a hand in front of his face, trying to disperse the pink droplets. "The hell? Tryin' ta contaminate us with girlyness, nutsos."
While both Linnea and Ren looked at Eriol pointedly, Linnea was the only one to speak. "Others."
As soon as the word was spoken Ren cupped her hands to her mouth, even though they were already quite close. "Hi there! Isn't it pretty?"
"Pretty weird," Eriol muttered under his breath, but nonetheless followed Ren and Linnea over. At the very least he would be able to put the cake down there, and let the two socialize briefly. He knew that Linnea wouldn't want to stay long.

Cocoa looked again again for a moment before looking up at the man again. "We were all invited here for the same reason, I'm assuming," he said, his ears folding back against his skull. "Is this the right day? Were we all mistaken somehow?"
David could feel someone staring at him. Turning orange eyes upward, he grinned happily at the sight of the green child. Someone else like himself! And he was colored like Kareme!
"It's anotha brotha from anotha mo--" he started to shout, but was immediately jolted in his bottle as Cocoa shook him just enough to stop him from continuing the sentance.
"Hey, fool!" the drink scowled. "I was jus' greetin' my homie!"
"How can he be your 'homie' when you don't even know his name?" the fox grumbled, noticing someone else approach. His eyes widened slightly as he saw the girl with the silver drink. There was another child?
"You jus' JEALOU--" David started to retort, but was quickly distracted by the little lady in the glass. "I dunno what's pretty here besides you, girl."
"Oh, great... there he goes again."

"Judging from the amount of people gathered here..." Kyou paused as he look around at the small crowd of drinkable owners around them before looking at the boy again, "I think this is the right day as stated on the note. It's impossible that so many people could misread it." He pulled a piece of crumpled paper from his jacket's inside pocket. "Yeah... the date is definitely today... but it's weird that the shop is closed." Kyou frowned, something is definitely not right here.
He turned around as he heard people approaching them and saw 2 person with another cup. Kaze turned his head too only to see another girl in a cup, like him and the blue dude. Only she was in a transparent cup with silver liquid. And it's a GIRL! It's the first time he saw a female one. He waved both of his hands excitedly in the air at the girl, trying to catch her attention.

Ren wasn't used to being complimented, except by Linnea and a couple others at home. And they weren't boys. Unsure how to react, she did what Linnea did when someone praised her, and looked down, letting a few strands of hair fall in her face. "Thank you!"
It was difficult not to recognize the attitude Ren was imitating, and Linnea blushed, easily more embarrased than her friend. Was the little one really watching her like that all the time? It was uncomfortable to consider.
As usual, Ren quickly moved on to the next matter, which was the greenish cup who was waving to her. "Hihi!" she called childishly, waving both of her arms back. "Who are you? And you," she added to the boy in the bottle. "I don't know you either, yet!"
So much for not talking to strangers. Still, Eriol kept an eye out for anything suspicious. He didn't like that they hadn't gone inside yet, and was forced to agree with the man who'd spoken. "Maybe they meant midnigh' yesterday, or somethin?" he offered doubfully.

"HACHOO!!" Aster sneezed, sniffling once, then again and rubbing her nose. Was she catching a cold? Ugh, she hoped not, that'd suck to high heaven. Allergies? No... last she checked she'd never had any. Allister was the one who looked upon all vegetation and animal life with loathing that bordered on divine.
"Oho, sorry about that. I didn't spritz you did I kiddo? :O" She looks down at Cedric.
Who was also rubbing his nose like he meant to sneeze, but managed to hold it in. "Uh uh, 'mallright!" Well, he looked normal anyway. The rain or wet or whatever had caused Aster to sneeze had sprinkled him and now things were... strange. His reflection in his juice didn't look different. But things seemed... off?
Maybe he was getting 'sick'? Aster talked about that and had been before. What could a Drinkable get sick with though? A cold, from being wet? But... he was always wet. He dripped on things all the time... ohhh 8-8;;;
Cedric decided not to think about it. Instead he settled for peering over his cup and staring in wide eyed surprise.
"A-Aster! Dr-dr-drinks! Drinks!" None of them were Morgan or Kareme though... but still! He'd never seen so many others in all his life!
Cedric's excitement wasn't lost on her and she turned her gaze to where he'd been staring.
"'hoy there! So... any of you guys get a key to open this place with your invite?" Aster called out to the others, jerking her head to indicate the door. Frankly if the temperature kept dropping she was liking the idea of just kicking it down and paying back the girls later.

Cocoa opened his mouth to speak, but as more people approached, he began to feel uncomfortable. It wasn't easy for him to be around strangers, but it was even harder to speak with people he almost knew he would rarely see.
"The name's David, su--" the drink started, but immediately corrected himself. "...miss."
Spotting yet another new drink, he was a bit drawn to the orange color. Man, he really needed to get out more! "Yo, dude! WASSUP??"

"Nice to meetcha kiddo," Aster replied, and prolly would have saluted or something if her hands weren't full and she weren't poor at balancing when one hand did the job of two.
Cedric sort of shied at first at the exuberant greeting, ducking behind the rim of his cup for a moment. Courage, pumpkin, courage!
"H-hi," he replied shyly, back up to where David could see him again rather than hiding like a shy loser.

Kaze grinned sheepishly as the little liquid girl waved back. It's strange, this weird giddy feeling Kaze is having. It had been so long ever since Kaze last seen a drinkable like him. The last time was when Kyou came to pick Kaze up in the shop, Kaze was placed beside an odd pale kid... What was his name again? Astro boy? Kaze couldn't recall, but he remember that the pale kid was rather fun to make fun of.
And now! So many more interesting little liquid kids! Kaze was excited.
Just as Kaze opened his mouth to introduce himself to the girl, he caught sight of another drinkable kid and directed his gaze that day. WHOA! A third one, how many are there?! Kaze thought excitedly. All thoughts of introduction temporarily thrown far away to the back of his mind.
Rolling his eyes, Kaze's excitement was rather obvious in Kyou's eyes. It was a little weird too, Kyou had never seen Kaze so excited before. He was most of the time rather mellow. Nodding towards the little girl in the silver liquid, Kyou thought it'd be nicer to answer her question. "His name is Kaze." Kyou introduced as he nodded at the little green boy sitting in the japanese tea cup, his hands were all full, holding Kaze on his right hand as he carries the plastic bag with the cake in the other. "And my name is Kyou." It's time like these that he wished he could shake people's hands, it seems more polite that way. But it looks like everyone had they're hands full anyway, him included.
But something is still bothering Kyou, it was the weird sparkle Kaze mentioned he saw just now. "Did any of you saw some weird pink sparkles just now?" Kyou asked curiously. If Kaze saw it, one of them are bound to see it too, he don't think Kaze would lie to him. Kyou hates himself sometimes with his lack of attention to his surroundings when he's alone thinking.

"Kaze? Tha's a sweet name, yo!" David cried out with a grin. It sounded all... Japanesey like a lot of the names of everyone he lived with. Looking back to the girl and the orange boy, he wondered if they would introduce themselves as well.
Cocoa figured maybe the drink hadn't heard the question. Looking up to Kyou, he nodded a little bit.
"My name's Cocoa, it's very nice to meet you both," he said. He looked to the others for a moment. "You all as well. I'm not really sure about any pink... sparkles, but David mentioned feeling something wet just a moment ago."
That certainly caught his attention.
"Yeah yeah! Check it. Somethin' was all SPARKLE SPARKLE SHINEY and glittery and junk, and it fell on me, yo! Makes me feel weird, man! Some wet stuff all invadin' my space," David explained, making movements with his hands and arms. "And it tastes all sweet-like!"
The fox twitched slightly. "You... TASTED it...?"
"Psssh. YEAH." Of course, the drinkable wasn't aware of any of the dangers that were possible from consuming an unknown substance.

"I didn' see any sparkles," Eriol replied, "but I think tha' they did." After all, Ren had started babbling about pretty pink somethings. And he did see something pinkish, come to think of it.
Kaze, Kyou, David, Cocoa... this wasn't hard to remember at all! And they were talking about the pretty stuff in the air. Well, Ren had a mouthful to say about that. "I saw it! It was pretty and pink and sparkly. Like those fireyworks we saw, right Linnea?"
Linnea nodded. It had felt good falling on her, which meant that there was one thing that Ren had forgotted to say. "And wet."
"Ooooh yeah, it was wet too. And tasted funny. But I really liked it anyway! And-" And there was someone else there that she hadn't noticed before, someone orangey. "Hi there! Did you like the sparklies?" she called, waving again. Hopefully he would be nice. The others were so far.

So there were pink sparkles and possibly a rain accompanying it just now. Kyou thought, feeling a pang of regret that he missed the sight. But it's weird, it sure doesn't seem to be raining right now. Kyou stared upwards towards the sky, pondering what could the strange signs be. Either it's man-made, or it's some kind of weird sign.
"I told you there were shoujo sparkles!" Kaze exclaimed as he tugged lightly on Kyou's long sleeves, trying to get back his attention. "All of them saw it too!"
Knitting his brows in concern, Kyou looked down at Kaze in the cup. "Are you feeling alright though? You mentioned some of the sparkles fell into your cup right?"
"Yeah, but I'm okay!!" Kaze exclaimed excitedly, moving more 'outward' to meet with the other drinkable kids again, with both arms flailing in the air.
Something is definitely wrong with Kaze! Kyou now noticed. On closer observation, this is the first time Kyou see Kaze so excited over meeting with new people. Yes it may be because he's meeting with so many drinkables at once, but he wasn't as hyper when he was with Kai. Things does seem to be a little weird...
...such as this weird numbed tongue feeling Kyou is having!
WHA.....??!! Kyou thought, alarmed. His tongue tip, more specifically the area where he used to lick his finger, is numb. What the hell is happening here?! Whatever that pink sparkly substance was, it sure doesn't seem to be something good. Now he's worried that it's having some weird hyper effect on Kaze too.
It's time for us to leave!
"Sowwy, I fhink I eed to go..." Giving half a bow while trying to not spill Kaze at the same time, Kyou apologized to the crowd. Hastily, he put the box of cheesecake he bought beside Cocoa's feet. "Take it." With that, he turned around and left the crowd.
"Wh.. Wha....?!" caught by surprise, Kaze gave a final wave and shouted at the top of his lungs, "Sorry, see you guys next time! BYE DAVID!!!" as Kyou sped off on his feet. "So where are we going next huh huh Kyou?!" Still hyper, Kaze exclaimed happily at Kyou.
"Westwoom..." was all Kyou could muster with his numb tongue.
"Westwoom?! Sounds exciting!!" Kaze said as he splashes about happily in the cup.
"Ey, you're ot mad?" Kyou asked, gesturing back towards the crowd of drinkable owners.
"Why would I?! I'm having fun! Although we need to leave the others behind back in front of the closed shop."
Kaze IS oddly hyper after he saw the pink sparkles. Usually in this kind of scenario, Kaze would be disappointed if he was pulled away from something fun and exciting. And to tell the truth, his hyperness slightly creeps Kyou out.
(( sorry, need to suddenly leave like that @_@;; having a busy day at work, also am going to be busy tomorrow, can't RP much >.<;; Damn sudden new project with new (very very tight) deadline... crying ))

((Not a problem, Kyou! Thank you so much for joining us! heart Having you and Kaze around was awesome. 3nodding ))
While David seemed to be concentrating more on the other two drinkables, Cocoa could only blink as Kyou and Kaze made haste in their departure. He was even more baffled as the item they'd brought for the potluck was left by his feet, uttering out a quiet "thank you" before they'd gotten too far.
Upon hearing his name, the drink quickly turned around to see Kaze getting even smaller. Nooo! He wanted to know more!
"PEACE, K-DAWG!" he cried out loud to the other, wondering if he would even be heard. " WE SHOULD GO ONE ON ONE SOMETIME, MAN!"
Now THAT would be fun. Playing games with someone his size for once.
"Maybe we'll... somehow meet up with them again, David," Cocoa said, in case the poor drink might have felt a little down. He began to wonder if Kyou had the right idea, however. It was starting to feel colder as the night dragged on, and he began to worry that David might start to freeze over.
"Yeah... maybe," was all he said, staring off in the distance for a long moment. His orange eyes wavered about for a moment, thinking he saw some sort of black figure in the distance. No, it was nothing... It had to be.
"You should call Demare soon, Cocoa. At least have him around in case everyone else leaves, too."
The fox wasn't sure what surprised him more. The fact that David spoke properly for once, or the fact that he actually called him by his name. Regardless, the child plucked a small, round device out from within his pocket, a little red light on the edge beginning to blink. He just hoped the signal would reach.
