The family was sleeping, early morning in the Pride Lands. Luckily, the tension of the nights before. The sun hasn't risen yet and Dumu was wide awake. His violet eyes wide, his paws before him, his brother beside him, his mother on the other side, and his father's wings over all of them. He could not sleep. He spent half the night looking out to the starry sky vanish, a quarter of it playing with the dirt in front of him (there are doodles everywhere his paws could reach), the rest was watching his brother sleep. The dark red cub sighed, nuzzled his brother, and carefully slipped out of the den.
The cool morning air was brisk on his fur. It had been some time since he had actually been alone in the morning. He turned back to the family he loved and adored, with them he was safe. His gaze turned to Akiiki, and he was the one that made him feel normal. As long as he could make Aki that being the way he was wasn't wrong, then he was happy. How could he see being attracted to other males be wrong? His mother didn't, he didn't, how could he? He sighed softly and sat there at the entrance, staring at the sky as it changed it's colors slowly as the sun was beginning to rise.
His head hurt slightly, but now it was unnoticeable now. His visions became so natural that he barely felt them now.
"...the clogs of time are changing..."

Grey eyes fluttered in the shimmering sunrise as the owner stretched out his white body and flicked his violet tipped tail. Of course Akiiki wasn't disoriented or anything, he was used to this sort of thing. A yawn stretched from his muzzle and he trotted over the ground over towards the dark red shadow before him.
"Ed, they always change." Akiiki said in his slurred morning voice as he draped over his brother's shoulders and sighed contently. "Why're you up so early again?"
The white cub licked Dumu's ear and and rolled over onto his back lazily, gazing up at the sky with blurred eyes, he was still half asleep after all.
"Oh sun in the sky you're about to see anew, every thing from the land that should bow down to you. Greet us with you warm rays and great big happy smile, and show us the world around us that should be so thus worthwhile." Akiiki belted out happily, his tail swishing happily in the dust outside the den. ninja

The violet eyes disappeared, covered over from his smile as his brother licked his ear. He loved his brother's company it was so comforting that there was someone like him around. Wierd dreams, a different father than those he met, and a seer to boot.
"Time is changing....I think for something bad. I would be cautious...besides, I couldn't sleep again is all. I've been up all night."
He sighed as he carefully placed his head onto Aki's chest. His ears flicked when the words of Aki's song. It was one of his best ones to. The words flowed from his chest to his mind and body. It just seemed to move into him from his body. Maybe this is why his brother loved to sing so much.
"That ones a good one, Al. Sing it again?"
Dumu asked, purring softly as he too stared up into the sky. The very sky that he was singing about. He could feel the warm sun beat on his side as it rised from the horizon.

"Something bad only happens when you let it Ed." Akiiki churred as he patted the end of his brother's nose brightly, his silver eyes closed and a murr deep in his chest. "Besides, you knew that already and even if it does get bad we have each other."
A smile spread over his muzzle as the sunrise colored his white fur pink and rose and gold, sifting over the soft hairs and skin of his body as the cub wrapped his arms around brother and licked his cheek. Poor Dumu had so much that he put up with, so many problems and so much stress. If only there were a way for him to take it all away from him he would, a way for him to take it all upon himself and make Dumu free.
"Okay, but only cuz I love you." Aki said with a chuckle and inhaled deeply, "Oh sun in the sky you're about to see anew, every thing from the land that should bow down to you. Greet us with you warm rays and great big happy smile, and show us the world around us that should be so thus worthwhile. Would you show us how? Show us why we love you and why our souls burn when you're above, why you teach us in your eternal love." ninja

"As long as I got you, we can get through anything. But you know that someday we will be apart. You will find someone, I will find someone...you know how it goes."
Dumu said, licking at his brother paw. The relationship they shared was mere brotherly love. Some may see it as more, but it wasn't. Dumu loved his brother a lot, he meant a lot to him just like his family. Aki was more than a brother to him, in a way he was a part of him. Seers as one who shared visions when close by. There was only some abilities that only worked when Aki was near him. That was more of a bonus than a reason to be with him.
"Aki....don't even try it. My problems are my own, I don't want you to be bogged down with them. In a way, I want the same from you....taking all your problems away."
When he was in contact with the white cub, his visions just came naturally. He just sighed and listened to the words that echoed from his body and into his own. It was just so calming. Now he knows why, he wished he could sing too...but all he could do was hum. And that is what he did.
In time, he hummed a melody that would accompany the song Aki sang. His eyes closed as he hummed along.

"Yeah I do, but we're still cubs, when it comes we'll be ready for it then." Was Akiiki's only response to that before batting Dumu over the nose and sighing tiredly. "Dumu, if I can't take yours away I won't let you take mine away. Besides, mine aren't half as bad as yours are, mine are simple dreams."
A shrug came and he rolled over slightly so he could stand, making sure he didn't let Dumu fall over onto the ground.
"you really should practice with singing, your humming's pretty good after all." ninja

"Our problems are our own I suppose, brother. But I wish you'd stop worrying about me, my problems may be worse than yours but I would rather carry our burden than let you do it yourself." He said, raising to his feet. "Most of mine are worries of you and your dreams anyways."
"Come on, lets get back inside before Mom and Dad start to freak out that we are missing again." he chuckles as he makes his way to the den entrance. Dumu paused for a moment and turned back to his younger brother.
"Al, for the last time, I'm not singing. I can only hum." He smiled and slipped inside setting himself comfortably between his mother and father just like the nights before.

Frowning, Akiiki rolled his silver eyes and trotted after Dumu without a word, it wasn't best to argue with him wen he was being a hero. Normally he wasn't, luckily for him but Aki did get somewhat annoyed when he did it.
Curling up next to Dumu, he dropped his head to his father's wing and fell as fast asleep as he'd ever been, for once dreams not bothering him. ninja
